k0nfy great job!!

SMS- my biggest challenge seems to be these holiday weekends!! Between father's day and 4th of July, I'm seriously still recovering! I know that had I not participated in the festivities, I'd have lost even more weight already! But I'm also very satisfied and proud of my progress so far.The challenge for me is getting back on track and not falling off the wagon. At the rate I've been losing weight, I'd be at my goal in mid-January, but I'm hoping to be there by my son's first birthday which is mid-April. So I'm okay with ups and downs and slow weeks and fast weeks.

I have big goals for this summer- I want VERY badly to be at 197 for my son's 3d birthday in August. It's only 5.5 weeks away, and with the damage I did over the weekend, it's 10 pounds or more to lose. I want it BAD though. I will stay perfectly on my plan with no cheating or cheat days until then (then I'll have cake and maybe pizza!!) Also revising my focus now a little more than calorie counting, I'm going to aim for my protein intake to be at least 30% of my daily calories. The day goes by so easily when I have that amount, it's easy to stay on plan and I don't feel hungry or tired!

I'm down 1.6 lbs this week and have finally made it out of the 190s.

I've definitely slowed down the pace I'm losing though; it was bound to happen. Just have to keep as motivated as I was at the beginning when the lbs were dropping fairly quickly.

Have a great week everyone! Only 64 days until Labor Day so get moving!
rmc- Look at you go!!

I do believe you will be the first to goal on this thread

Awesome job! I'm going to see if I can catch up

Hi all!!!!

Been MIA - busy moving into another place in another state plus unpacking! I sure must have burned a lot of calories to offset the junky food and booze since I'm still holding at 187-188 tho I saw 185 at one time! Now have more time to focus on myself and get back to business.

Congrats to those who lost! <3 to all!

Good Morning All!
I'm glad to see some people are still sticking with it on here.

Dreamer- I hope some sleep will help with your migraine. There really is nothing worse.

Sarah- I'm with Amandie, you can totally do it. 2lbs a week for 5 weeks. Stick to a diet of 1600-1800 calories and get in some sort of exercise every day and it will work for you. Keeping your protein high really does help you stay full so that will help out a lot as well. We're all rooting for you

Amandie- If you can keep off the junk food and focus on a healthy diet it seems like you would be well on your way to a loss. Hope you've had a healthy week and we can all report good numbers on Sunday.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!! I am trying so hard, but right now the baby's hitting his 3-month growth spurt and I'm so hungry all the time!!! I'm trying to make good choices but then I just feel completely starving and grab the nearest snack!

I hope he gets through this quickly, it's been going on for 2 days already!! And it's 10:15 and he is STILL sleeping, we put him in bed at 9pm last night! (He has eaten twice in his sleep)

Where is everyone?!?

I'm struggling... I need the scale to go down already. I screwed up Monday, I get that. I've been exercising. I've been eating above my range because the baby has hit a growth spurt and I feel so hungry all the time, but I'm not eating so far above my range that I should be gaining!!

I hate that I have to work SO HARD to lose a pound and if I go slightly over my range it seems like I gain 3 instantly. It shouldn't work like that! There should be some sort of cushion where you maintain, right?

Sarah we're still lurking but don't post all the time.

When you are breast feeding you need more calories to maintain then usual. What calorie level are you shooting for? To maintain while breast feeding they usually recommend 2400 calories a day. If you are going anywhere less than 1800-2000 your body is probably responding by holding on to weight and water because of the extra demands on your body. Breast feeding is relatively equivalent to working out 3 times a week for the extra calories your body uses up.
Let me know if you need extra support, it's hard to stick with it especially when you have extra demands on your body and your time. Just stick with eating healthy for you and your baby and you will lose weight.

pacsun I have that issues too (im not beast feeding) if I eat even a few cals over what im supposed to gain like 3 but for me it is because I have pcos. I would say much when you are hungry hungry, your body will know what it needs.
