Good afternoon to you all

I have woken up a bit cranky this morning. You know one of those days
when you feel a bit pissed off but for no real reason.

The weather isn't good we were hoping to go to the coast but its too cloudy.
We will go out for a walk and later I will gym.

What a beautiful present Sarah.

I am about to sort out photos for my boys bus passes for when they go
back to school.

Have a good day everyone
Michele

Just back from aerobics. Once again the normal teacher was otherwise engaged so we got the bloke with the gorgeous legs from the local gym subbing for her. OMG I am totally wiped out. I bearly managed to walk up the stairs to have a shower and I had to give up on the idea of washing my hair because my triceps hurt so much.

He asked what I do as an abs workout because I'm the only one who manages to keep up with what he's asking us to do. I didn't realise that everyone else had given up and it was only me going on - he was just giving me abs exercise instructions and I just kept on going. I only stopped when the others started giggling and I wondered what they were giggling at. I didn't mention about doing crunches with 5kg (sometimes 10kg) weights on my chest!

The thing is.... I like doing abs. I kind of blend doing abs in to a stretches workout - and I think of stretches (and therefore abs) as sort of calming....

Right - time to think of what I'm going to cook for dinner that doesn't involve moving my arms too much. (Might just take a casserole out of the freezer!)

I liked the emu!

I'm on the edge of a bad mood, it wouldn't take a lot to push me over I don't even really know why. I didn't run yesterday as scheduled, but cycled 11 miles at a fast pace in order to rest my sore heels, so despite a good workout I'm now upset that I'm not on schedule. Particularly as they are still sore so I'll probably have to take the week off running at least. I was also painting yesterday and i have a sore neck from painting the ceiling - and I left the ibuprofen at home To top it all off I got into work today and the boss has had an aniphilactic (sp?) reaction to insect bites and can't work; and none of the telephone lines in our building work. Using my personal mobile phone I've been ringing around trying to sort things out, and it turns out that someone with no connection to our company called BT and told them to disconnect our lines! BT took them at their word and disconnected all 4 numbers in our name - we run a community business centre so some of these numbers were used solely by other businesses - so I've been having people shouting at me, and I've been shouting at BT about what possessed them to cut these lines off on the say so of someone not connected with us! They even refused to reconnect them . Then it turns out that the people who asked BT to cut them off is a company that works with our telephone system people , so I called them and they called this company and this company told BT that they got it wrong and now they are reconnecting the lines.... but we still don't have the main number and that is the one everyone dials out on! So no actual work today, just stress! I just want to go home and go to bed again!

I ran 5.7 miles this morning, which was good, then did 15 minutes on the evil bike. It gets me sweating far more than running, I try to stay above a certain RPM on a random/hill programme so sometimes it's not so bad but at the highest resistance it's evil. My knee and hip are feeling good today, so I might try for 8 or 9 tomorrow morning. Then I'm in Sheffield all day at a scary all parties negotiation meeting, but luckily the client has said they want to take the lead in negotiations and just ask for input where appropriate, which at least means I don't need to lead the meeting.

Still dithering about the parachute thing. I just wish it was a different weekend when I'm not so worried about spraining my ankle or something. I'd do it on my own another time, but I'm sure it would be more fun with friends than on my own.

No - I'm a good girl, I am!

Ooohhh Pachy, sounds like a nightmare! Hope it all gets sorted by tomorrow.

Helen, about the parachute thing. I don't want to put you off, but I only know two people who have done it and both of there suffered with back problems after due to the jolting/jarring on landing. Good luck with the meeting for tomorrow.

I think "not this time" on the parachute thing. you have worked your butt off for the marathon, and don't want to jeapordise it. You are an athlete now!!!! Marathon comes first!!!

I did a hard cardio workout at our rather busy gym. I haven't been at night for months! It was awful! But I kinda like it busy, I feel less self concious the more people that are there.

Weird, the old me would have hated it, and probably would have left!

I'm so tired, we had a good tea, lovely chicken baked in the oven, and sweet potato and corn on the cob, and a tomato and avocado salsa.

I want to go to bed but Man of the House insists on watching the increasingly depressing Waking the Witness or Silence of the Dead or whatever it's called

Why are you a whale??? We've seen the pictures of you in your dress and you are definitely NOT a whale.

Do we get to see a scan of the invites????

DH told his Mum about me hitting my target and she told him she'd send me a little present. It arrived this morning. Its..... Dale Winton's autobiography. Bless her - she is such a lovely woman. Lovely thought - but I wonder what persuaded her to buy that for me. Dale Winton????? Ewwww!!!

Nice to 'see' you Veggie We miss you

My triceps still ache from yesterday afternoon's exercise class - not great when I'm supposed to be going swimming at lunchtime.
