Rhonda--we have two beagles. They are awesome...very high energy, but SUPER affectionate/cuddly too.

onthetee--then it MUST stay! I don't think I did anything special to mine...other than peroxide to make sure all the dirt and stuff was washed out.

Unfortunately by the time I made it home from work, it was pouring rain so no walk for the dogs and I. It's my own fault...I should have stuck w/ my original plan and just went to the gym!

I have a beagle too! She's almost nine. She used to be super hyper but has mellowed some in her older age.

We have a beagle too! Only hyper when we get home after leaving hime for a few hours. Definatley cuddly. Usually cuddles DD (who is 4)out of her bed so she comes to sleep with me and cuddles me out of my bed! LOL

DH and I are working some of the Dave Ramsey concepts. Having a hard time with some envelopes. But doing much better over all!

Hey I am loving my new home made laundry soap!

Filled my pick up for $97 yesteray which is 1.19 a litre! Good thing the bikes are all tuned up cause that will be our life saver for bank and exercise!

Everyone keeps telling me our 'girls' will mellow w/ age...I'll believe it when I see it.

Of course, my dh is never THAT happy to see me when I get home, so I LOVE their hyperness, most of the time.

Speaking of the sweet beagle sisters, it's time to take them out.

Have a great night!

Awe that sucks chellez, so many people have signed up, you should be really proud of yourself for motivating us all. I have just finished my 30 minute workout with Bob! I called him every name in the book, but it was worth it now I can sit back and feel proud that I am moving in the right direction.

Well!!!, been away for a day and there's 3 pages with 40 entries apiece here, I agree with NIxmom, this "thread is screaming"!!!

I'll put my catch-up post(s) in two segments so not to hog space. . .

Vanetta - I too laid the gaunlet down, no last hurrah here but slow and steady wins the race.

Josephine - I'm bouncin'-excited too that we're almost starting!!!

Rhonda - I get obsessed like you too, where one area of my life takes my focus, but you know, I learn an awful lot during the research phase that spills over into other parts of my life so it's not all bad. What Melissa (Hun-e-bee) said fits too - burnout, being a perfectionist. And like Kelly said, "focus grasshopper" and I really like what she said about not trying to deal with the whole album, but one picture at a time. And another of her wisdoms (sp?) "Start small - it all adds up." So . . . you're the hula-hoop queen, eh? I used to love to do that . . .

Finding fawn - I like your "journey" note about "finding fawn", the real inner you, I can use that imagery too. Thanks.

Anna - Thanks for your ideas on rethinking our 5 goals, like posting them in conspicuous places and thinking of the steps needed to make them happen. Soooooo sorry about your toe! I've already sent up a prayer that your nail stays on! Do keep it elevated.

Missingmyerica - I liked what you said about how your body is changing and getting stronger. Here's hoping the calorie shifting idea works to break your plateau.

On to the next post . . .

Dee - yeah, the blogging really tends to help me stay on track, as well as putting whatever goes into my mouth immediately into Fit Day, or onto a piece of paper to enter later. Then I can't be unaware of how the calories are adding up throughout the day, or better, how I may enjoy dinner a little more that night.

Laurie - The boss's wife! Yikes!!! Some alcohol might be refreshing, but me thinks "copious amounts" might end up being depressing. Like Anna said, try the 30 minut walk "then see if you need the hooch". And, calories spent instead of added!

Nori - Like you with the Tillamook Cookie Dough icecream, last night I had a sliver of chocolate silk pie, still OP, but today, my stomach has been aching like crazy. Good body, keep up the negative feedback on those nasty fattening foods ;-)

Roni - your information, from what author I forget, was right on about having the right attitude about ourselves. The best line in there for me was "The way you think about yourself manifests as your reality." I manifest the Biggest Loser - woo - hoo!!!

Slugs and sluglines . . . who knew?

Looking forward to getting to know you all better in the challenge ahead. Dora from Oregon wishing you all a happy and healthy weekend.

Wow, I go away for 18 hrs and you guys add four pages to this thread .

Speaking of hybrid cars I Want One! Of course I'd have to get my license first. Sigh. 25 and still can't drive. I'm rocking the urban living though, so mass transit is my very annoying friend. It's a / relationship but it beats paying $4 a gallon. It helps get the walking in too.

Purplefirefly
- Thanks for the encouragement. I can never understand why it happens, but I'll have a few days where I just can't control myself and then I'll be all right. I felt better yesterday and today and I'm right back OP. I'll exercise tomorrow first thing.

onthetee - Sorry about your toe, hope you feel better.

I posted a crappy starting weight. It is what happens when you are not paying attention. I also had a big old party last night, and I ate, and it was amazing food. It will require some road time. So hoping that my toe will allow me to do that.

Hi everyone!

I've been stagnating for about a month and it's time to get back on the wagon properly. I can't wait for this challenge to get started as I really need the added motivation. My Mum is also coming over from the UK on the 16 June, so that'll help too. I keep saying to myself : "If I get started logging again NOW... how much can I lose by then?" ....

I need to get started.... *sigh*

Not typing much today as I have my fingers all bandaged up on my right hand and it's like typing with a bunch of bananas for a hand (I picked up something really hot because I'm a dork) ....

Back later!!!!!!!!!!

I am taking a break from cleaning. Not my favorite thing in the first place...but I just came across a stack of things I saved from when my dad died. Funny thing is, I knew the stuff was there, it just totally threw me. I miss him so much sometimes, still can't believe he's gone (it's been 2 years).

I will NOT use the fact that I am emotional right now as an excuse to wander into the kitchen and eat all afternoon! Obviously that doesn't solve anything. I will acknowledge that I am sad, but keep cleaning--it has to get done today so I can have lazy day tomorrow!

Ok, I feel a bit better! Back to cleaning!!!

You recognized a possible trigger and have a plan to stop it! You are 99% there!

I took my toe on a 3.5 mile walk. I ran the last .25 while pushing the stroller. "Go faster, Mommy" was all I heard the whole time, so I promised to run the last little bit for her. "Dat man is running fast" also was pointed out to me. Our city's big mini marathon is this weekend, so lots of people out running. I was going to walk it, but I don't think the toe can go 13.

The short run was not too bad. I hope to run 2 mi this evening when the offspring are in bed. I have the sins of last night to work off.
