Teacher Lady..
Way to go. So happy for you..

I have never been offered fiber drinks.. What are they , and what is in them?
I have only purchased the HNS, gel type and powdered.

Enjoy your weight loss. You deserve it.

Today is my first day of Meta-Balance. On January 1st, I started training to walk a half marathon and have only lost 4 pounds total since (prior I averaged >3lbs/week). After a lot of frustrating weigh ins and conversations with my center, they finally changed my menu. If anyone else has any tips or experiences with Meta-Balance, please share. I am nervous that the increased food will cause me to gain. What has your experience been?

I am on Metabalance and average about 3 - 4 pounds per week. I like this menu because I am literally never hungry. When I do get hungry, it is just about time for me to eat again. I have never seen any of the other menus, so I don't know what the real difference is, but I see good losses on the Metabalance, even if it is more food.

Hey everyone. Good job on the losses. I am down 2.5 this week for a total of ..... 20.5. And yes, I count the .5.

Karla-you should make the Buffalo Chicken Bites in the cookbook. They are good and you get the wing flavor. I am having them for sure tomorrow for the big game. I think I'll try to make several things so I can feel like I'm having a variety. Maybe some meatballs too.

Have a great week everyone.

Patzi, They are called "Fullfill" Mixed Fruit cold drink mix. I"m not sure who makes them on dietdirect.com. I looked at the nutrition facts, and here's the basics:

calories: 15
sodium: 40mg
potassium: 190mg
Total carb: 6g
dietary fiber: 5g
sugars: 1g
biotin: 10% RDA
vitamin C: 50% RDA
Folate: 10%
Magnesium: 10%
Pantothenic Acid: 10%
Manganesse: 10%

I checked out the metamucil singles (sugar-free ones), and they actually have a tiny bit less fiber, lots less (or none) of the other minerals/vitamins. If you didn't want to buy this supplement from MRC, though, you could probably get away with just using one or two metamucil singles instead.

Karla,
So glad you enjoyed the brownies! I didn't want to waste a vanilla pudding, either. Haha! Did you feel like it was more of a cake consistency or brownie?

I was previously on metabalance and was able to lose a little bit over 30lbs in 4mths. I'm on metaslim now and I do think you get so much more food on metabalance. Good luck & keep us posted!

Oh! I think they may be on my list. It is either that or the chili in the cookbook. Last year I did the meatballs and they are pretty good. BTW, congrats on hitting the 20lb mark!

On metabalance you are allowed 2 servings of dairy daily, 2 fruit servings a day, 3oz. of meat, and 3oz. of cooked veggies or 6oz. of raw veggies. I hope that helps.

I wi today and am down another 2lbs. Yay! I asked about the price increase of HNS and the manager told me yes. They are going up individually and they will still offer the bulk purchase option. The new price for bulk is 5/$55 or 10/$95. I know I will be stocking up throughout this month! I forgot to ask how much bars or meal replacements were going to go up. I will ask on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a great Super Bowl Sunday!

I bought some more fiber drinks, I'm going to keep using those and maxing out on my HNS. I also need to get to work to figure out more ways to "mix up" what I eat. I think my sister and my consultant were right--I was eating the same things every day, and my body got too used to those foods.

I just hope the downward trend continues!
Yay!
