Good Afternoon Red team! Taking a homework break. While Amber was right I wasnt pointing any specific fingers I do have to say this.

First of all...my kids are my top priority too.
But then comes my classes and my homework (I'm a fulltime student);and then comes PTA, I'm the president and volunteer at 2 different schools (which is like a fulltime job I'm at one or the other every single day of the school week); and then dh and the house have to fit in there somewhere; and I'm here every single day

Why? Because 4 weeks ago I made a committment to myself and my weightloss when I joined this team. That committment was that I was going to make sure that I logged in and posted my weigh in before the deadline and support my team. I knew the requirements going in. No matter what else is going on I deserve that for myself. Because I cannot take care of my kids, or finish my education or volunteer or take care of dh and the house if I'm sick or dead because of my weight.

I timed it, it took me less than 4 minutes to turn on the computer, log in, find 3FC and make an edit for weigh in. We had 20% of our team not weighing in for the week, the rest of the team is waiting on it, I'm waiting on it so I can post results, Blue team is waiting on it so they can see the results. Surely 20 people can find 4 minutes in their day to honor their committment to themselves and their team. Its a choice not to. Because weights are done by percentages those people who drop the challenge do weigh us down.

So weigh ins aside, my biggest problem is joining a team challenge and then not being a member of the team. I absolutely without a doubt understand dealing with sick kids, deadlines, visitors or being out of town. But we have 22 people on our team, and how many post regularly? Not even half. So I gotta wonder why these people joined a TEAM challenge when the whole idea behind being on a team is to get and give support during the challenge. When people dont post, and then dont weigh in...what is the team supposed to think? Its been a problem since Week 1, so please dont think I'm picking on those who used freebies this week because I'm not. But each week it gets worse and its not fair.

I'm not gonna beat a dead horse. I cant force someone to take advantage of something they dont want to. I'm not gonna waste my time PMing them begging for their support, that they promised to give by joining the team. I will however ask again and again to please please please get your weights posted by the deadline. You may not participate in the team but the rest of us who do dont appreciate having to wait, and then being penalized because a person cant be bothered to at least post their weight.

Okay this turned out much longer than I had planned, and I apologize if this touches a nerve. But it is how I feel, I'm entitled to those feelings. And trust me, from the PMs I get from team members I'm not the only one who feels this way. All I can ask is to please remember your team!

Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you know that my foot is just fine. I went to work today and really didn't have any problems. I really appreciated everyone asking about it and showing concern. Thanks.

The past two days I have really wanted to eat more than I should and I haven't. I just get so hungry when TOM is near or here. I may take a freebie this week because I'm up d/t TOM. We shall see.

Could not agree with you more, Mel.

While we ALL have various obligations to our families and to ourselves, it's important to remember that none of those things will matter if we aren't here! I know all to well how easy it is to put everyone else first, and I'm sure that's how alot of us got to this point of being overweight, but by all of us deciding to join this challenge, this is where we decided to take back our lives, to start getting healthy and do something for US. It's taken me a long time to get to where I am mentally, but when I started putting myself as a top priority without feeling guilty, that's when I knew I was ready to fight this fight and see it all the way through. We are all important, we all matter, we all deserve to win!

By giving a little bit of yourselves here can help someone else immensely with what you have to say by means of support or motivation. It takes 2 minutes to extend support to someone struggling, and could mean all the difference in success or failure for one or more. Also, I find that when I am writing to other's in the midst of my own struggle, it really helps me stay on track and not feel so bad. Keep those posts coming girls, whether you know it or not, you are all contributing to a wonderful cause!

So I have been really busy these last few days. I have been getting some sort of exercise everyday. That is really good for me. Tonight for dinner we had stir fry, it was actually very good and tasty.

One of the posts I read that hit home was about healthy becoming a way of life. Right now I feel like I have to think about every morsel of food I put in my mouth. I cannot wait until it becomes a conscious habit. Eating healthy feels good, but I still find myself wanting that piece of pizza, However, a little less everyday. Who knows maybe in about 10 years that piece of pizza won't have such a hold on me.lol.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of a team. I really appreciate all the support. Happy Wednesday!

Wow, okay. So next time I am cuddling my son 24/7 who has croupe and can barely even breathe even with his nebulizer treatments I will ask him to please just sit by himself for four minutes so I can post my weights.

You know what, I'm done. I'll PM Michelle. I shouldn't get up off the computer in tears because I couldn't take four minutes to post my weight. Unless you've ever had a child who has extremely bad croupe and hospitalizations many times a year, I don't need to be told how much free time I have because I had none. I wish everyone good luck and next time someone feels the need to lecture on time management, think of the other persons feelings first. I won't be checking back on this thread.

okay wow is right Angela...I guess you missed the part where I said I understand having sick kids. But if you want out thats fine. Again as I stated in my post my issue is with people not supporting their team. Good luck to you!

likenoother....I'm so glad your foot is better!! That is really great news. I'm the same way with bees that you are with butterflies!

I think I'm getting over stressed with all this homework, perhaps a good run on the elliptical will work out the kinks huh?

Have a wonderful night everyone!!

Red face

Hey everyone. I just want to throw this out there. I am here and I plan on being here even though my number's do not count. That being said, if anyone else drops out or whatever, I'll happily take the spot so I can "offically" be back in.

By the way, here's what I put on my Christmas List. hehe

Oh Diva you bite your tongue talking about Christmas already! LOL!

So I'm watching Top Chef (anyone else catch it?) and I'm looking at all these dishes that they cook wondering if I'd ever eat it. Which got me to thinking that I bet there are ALOT of foods out there that I've never tried and I bet some of them I'd like.

So, in our RED WINS challenge we did where you had to try something new, did anyone try some new foods? Anyone have any crazy weird newage foods?

My girls love Grapples...they are like an apple but taste like a grape. WAY too sweet for me but they smell incredible! I'm just curious if anyone has any fun different foods they'd like to share.

Or maybe a photo?

We took off the faucet on the tub today because the refinishing guy is going to be back on Friday and as my husband was working on one side of the wall Zim was checking things out on the other through the overflow drain.
