  • Good Morning Red team!

Well I had a little slip up last night...my first one in 20 days if you can believe that! So I decided not to weigh in this morning. Why torture myself right? I'll give it a couple of days to hopefully flush out. Right back on track today though!!

Diva...I took a class on nutrition a few semesters back and they say that if you are eating properly that your foods should keep you properly hydrated. Maybe it is just helping to keep you full but I swear I lose more weight if I'm getting 2 to 3 liters of water a day. And I can definetly tell those days that I dont.

Muse....going and getting yourself into great shape are ya! LOL!! Way to go!! Thats gotta feel great to get through the whole video and not feel like dying!! Excellent work!

Lawmom...ugh cookies!! Those little buggers can get ya everytime!! I've done pretty darn fantastic on my eating plan but for last night. Way to go on your meeting with Jillian...she'll definetly whip you into shape! LOL!!

    Tera....thanks for the well wishes!!!

Alrighty, time to hit the books! I sure hope we hear from some of our MIA teammates today. Feels like our team is losing steam!! I hope thats not the case because those of us who have been checking in sure seem to be kicking butt...how about the rest of you!! Cant wait to hear!!

    Have a beautiful Friday!!

  • Good Morning Red Team!

I hope you all are ready for another great weekend! I can't believe that we are already going to be going into October! The days are flying!

So, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about weigh in. "Technically" today is it for me but I am up. WAY up. I have NO idea why either. I've been eating right, exercising, getting my water in....and I get a really ugly number on the scale. I may take one for the team this week and take a freebie, not sure.

Busy day here, have tub guy coming in a few and someone to look at my dryer. When it rains it pours! Stress is big in my house at the moment, not with maintenance issues, but with finances...I may be going back to work and I am Long story there, but let's just say I was told to quit my job (per dh) and work on myself to get healthy.... and now its being taken away. 'nuff said.....
Will have to see how things play out in the next coupla days, may not get to visit so much with ya'll.

Anywho, ladies, have an awesome day and an even better weekend! Stay on top of your game and keep that exercise coming!!

  • Thank you Diva for that link. I find myself forcing water down when I can, and I hate it. I eat plenty of foods with water in it, like grapes, so I'm hoping I should be fine. Although, I will still try and get used to drinking water since it's better than soda.

Danielle - I'm sorry you're so stressed out. If you need to take a freebie week, I don't think any of us would mind. I hope you get everything situated.
  • Well being on a reduced calorie diet I feel like I probably do need to add a bit of water to my day, but mostly because I'm sweating out a bunch when I exercise, so i still find it important for me to try and drink some... plus I'm trying to cut out diet soda, so I have to drink something, but yeah I saw that show too. I did read somewhere though that water is key in helping flush out the ickies that are released from the fat cells apparently we store all kinds of fun stuff in there.. hormones... old medications... etc etc.
  • Hi everyone,
I have no clue when I last checked in. Yesterday, day before, I dunno. I got off early today. Well really I was supposed to get off at 11am but I left about 1:30pm. Anyways, I am hanging at my parents house waiting for my mom to get home. She has DirecTV so she has way more channels than me. I have expanded basic cable but I feel like they are always getting rid of a different channel every month. I'm watching FitTV now trying to get motivated. I think TBL is on the Style channel but I don't know what season. Still doing well with food. No changes with water or exercise. I've snuck on the scale and as I predicted earlier in the week "it's gonna be a great week"!
  • Not much to say this morning, its raining and some people are whispering snow already! Down 3.2 lbs though!! Yay!

Off to stick my nose in the books till its time to head downtown! Have a wonderful Saturday Red team.

Seems as though we are already down to our 5 or 6 regular posters and the rest of the team is MIA??? I really hope thats not the case! Our team does have over 20 members on it, the support should reflect that, thats why we joined a team challenge right? Stop by and let your team know how things are going!

  • Good Morning Red!

Been a little quiet around here, I hope its only 'cause everyone is exercising hard and busy with family, etc!

Tera, thank you so much for your kind words, I needed them. Things will get figured out in the end, let's just hope the strain doesn't kill me first. LOL I will get thru! But again, thanks for acknowledging my disappointment and also about my issue w/ a gain. I hope you are off to a fabulous start to your weekend!!!

likenoother, hope you enjoyed your time at mom's house with her tv! I cant wait to hear your weigh in results!

LawMom, still getting kicked around by Jillian? I may have to dust mine off and give 'em a whirl this weekend. We can compare notes! LOL Sorry about the cookies, but I'm glad you're back at it stronger than ever!

Ladies, have a great day and keep shining!
  • Need sports bra advice. I am starting the C25K in November and I want to be ready. No excuses. So I need to go sports bra shopping. The ones I have are okay but I want 1-2 that I use specifically for running to really hold the "sisters" down. I'm a "D" cup. I found the sports bra sticky and will research those suggested but I'm wondering if any of you had any ideas too. Thanks.
  • Good morning Red Team!

I haven't posted on the chat thread in a while, but I have been posting my exercise minutes! I've been busy and my allergies have been kicking my butt at night, so I haven't gotten as much sleep as I should and I feel sort of blah because of that. I have managed to keep up with exercise fairly well, calories are okay, but quality of food has been a bit uneven. Oh, well, I'm just doing the best I can.

I'm down a pound again this week and I have to say that I am really getting results with the workout I'm doing (Turbulence Training). I just measured and I'm seeing results even though I've only lost 3 pounds since I started (4 weeks ago), including a half-inch loss on my right arm. Yay! I've always had big arms even at my lowest weight. Even my waist measurement is down half an inch, and it's been two months+ since that's changed. I have a thick waist so that's amazing! Anyway, I recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different and you can get a bunch of the workouts for free online. It's pretty much all bodyweight exercises, so you can easily do it at home. Plus some horrid intervals. I won't dwell on those, but that's what's supposed to really kick up the fat-burning.

It looks like our tema's going to have some great losses this week! Good for everyone for their exercising and eating efforts, especially as time is passing and that initial excitement wears off.

And yeah, guys, I've heard that recently about huge amounts of water not being as necessary as I thought. Helps take some of the guilt off of me, since I don't always drink as much as I thought I should. I'd much rather have coke zero. The cherry kind.

Likenoother, I've found the champion sport bras to be pretty good and are reasonably priced if you order them from OneHanesPlace--I like the ones with the underwire built in, but then I'm only a (shrinking) C. The one that people really rave about is the Enell, and there might be people on here who have those.

Well, I've got to go get ready for work. It just never ends . . . Have a great day everyone!
  • Hi red team!! I had a 1 pound loss this week. It is better than nothing! I felt like I was going to have more and I do see a difference in my body shape. Today I put on a pair of capri's and they started to fall off! At my weight that is a great feeling !! I got in lots more exercise this week. I am going to journal next week to keep track of what I am eating. I think that I had some mindless eating going on this week.

Great Job to all to all the losers this week!!
  • Just wanted to stop by and say hi and to all Losers !

I've had a gain this week and I'm so miserable about it Sorry to let my team down. We had an unexpected trip out of town this week and although it was very pleasant it threw me off of plan. No exercise and eatting out a lot. Ok. hun e. b. kick me
  • Thanks Ann. I think I may go with Enell. That was one of the ones I researched. I saw the pictures on the website and it looks like A LOT of support. I think I will adjust my start date of the C25K to November 6th so I can start on a TBL night. That way I will be exercising will watching. Gotta go. I have some things to do before the Gator game at 8pm.
  • likenoother,
I LOVE the FitTV! I watch it to to get motivated and I have about 4 or 5 shows saved on my DVR. I have a Ball workout from there that totally kicks ***! My abs have been hurting ALL day today from my FitTV ball woekout yesterday! I'm hurting in places I didn;t know I had muscles! LOL! The side ways situps ROCK!

Anywho, back to the gators game!!!
