9. Have you started decorating for Halloween yet? no only decorate once a year...christmas and I go all out.

10. What about yourself are you most proud of? that I'm still here working on the new me.

What motivates me-my mother. She has been overweight since I can remember and now shes is sick all the time, she has more bad days than good. She was about my age when she had a stroke and things have gone down hill from there. I hate taking pills and being sick. I know I have the will power and determination to do this. I just think of her everytime I ask myself is this worth it. The answer is YES!

I'd like to say lets get over the drama and focus on a RED TEAM WIN!

Melissa- I love the trees in the fall, they are so beautiful. I've had grapples their pretty good. I've also had pluots, which are a cross between an plum and an apricot...not bad. Since joining i've tried lots of new stuff, nothing too off the wall though.

Muse- what a pretty kitty and thanks I'll take a hatI'm always up for a party.

Bridgette.

Just wanted to check in fast- I will answer the questions tomorrow when I have more time.
This week is flying by and I've barely had time to breathe. I'm having a decent week though- just wish I had a little more time for exercise (time that isn't 5:00 am, that is! LOL)
Hope you are all having an excellent week!!

Hi everyone

I feel so selfish for not coming on here as much as I should . I've been so stressed out and when i'm stressed I eat. After eatting I feel so guilty. It's a vicious cycle.

From the bottom of my heart I appreciate all the comforting comments left for me. Thank you Gals so much. You'll never know how much I appreciate you !

Anyways my husband got onto me today and it seems to have helped me. I have actually done fairly decent today. I got a lot of things done that I've been putting off. Organized things and it actually has made me feel better.
I feel as though I'm getting back on track.

I've come to the conclusion that life would be so much better if our kids just stayed babies. Why do they have to grow up and leave us? lol
My oldest son just married five months ago and my youngest started college.
I'm going thru the empty nest syndrome and its killing me. Sometimes it feels great to have the time to do only for yourself and other times I could swear that I hear my youngest son saying "mom" . Or I'll pick up something of theirs and Then I start the sobbing! I have to leave their bedroom doors closed because I can't stand to go in there and their gone. When I lay down to go to sleep of a nite I get this knot in my stomach because I don't know where they're at. How stupid is that! Who does that? I guess in time it will get easier.

Well enough of my stinkin thinkin. I just wanted to explain so maybe you'll understand but I'm going to get on track and stay there. I promise.

my motivation to lose weight is to be there for my kids. I have high blood pressure, PCOS, and insulin resistence (had gestational diabetes). I use to go to the buffets and one day I looked around and saw a group of very over weight women (much like myself) and it made me think what am I doing here. Is this food worth missing out on my life. I finally came to understand that no it wasn't.

Good afternoon ladies!! You'll be so proud of me! This morning I didnt ride my bike because I thought I was running too late. Turns out I should have! Anyway, so I drove to the park and ride lot and missed the bus by 2 minutes. So instead of sitting there waiting for the bus I walked to campus!! Took me 20 minutes!

Stupid AF! I saw someone eating a snickers bar today and OMG...I think I literally drooled LOL! didnt have any but it sure did look tasty! I need to get some groceries but I dont want to go to the store because the cravings are so bad! I just gotta keep telling myself...tomorrow is weigh in!

Okay, I need to eat!! Its 2:30 and no lunch yet!! I hope everyone is having the best day!!

Hi Girls -

My triceps near my elbow have been freaky sore the last few days since I did the Ripped 1000 DVD. It's not that surprising since I haven't weight trained as much this year... but what a WEIRD and annoying place to be sore.

I had a nice long post last night. I lost it and just gave up on posting. So lets try this again.

AmberD, SugarNSpice, Melissa, IdealMuse--My foot is doing fantastic. Thanks for asking. I definitely feel I will be ready to run in November.

IdealMuse--Your cat is precious.

Melissa--I love that picture of the trees. I always feel like I wake up one day and all the leaves have turned. I am really working on paying attention this year. I want to see the progression. My butterfly tattoo is on the top of my right foot. I was originally supposed to get it above my belly button when I lost all of my weight and got a flat stomach. I got tired of waiting. I still may get that butterfly above my belly button when I get down to my goal. Talking about goals...

I was checking my BMI last night and of course I've known for a long time now that I am morbidly obese. Anyways I figured out if I get to 148 I am considered "overweight". At 123 I am considered "normal". So 148 will be my mid term goal but I haven't determined if 123 will be my long term goal. As I get closer (because I will get there) I can make that decision.

My motivation....to be honest---I'm tired of being fat!

Oh yeah--TOM is here so I'm taking a freebie. I will go post that now.

Hey ladies,

707Goddess I'm really glad you're doing so well in spite of everything you and your family are going through.

I'm have had the serious munchies ALL day. I was about to list them all, but I don't want to trigger any binges. But it's a long list. I tried to make healthy choices, but I've eaten a lot of QUANTITY and still want more. Tomorrow is weigh in and I don't have high hopes

But I've been running and cutting back on the sweets, so we'll see.

Hey Red Team! I had a pretty good day today, went to a conference where they had a ton of danishs and bagels and things out all morning and didn't eat a one! Just stuck to my string cheese and waited for lunch (reasonably healthy thai food). I don't know if I'll get any exercise in, I think I'm going to go to bed because I was up so super early.

I had a non-scale victory today when I realized I can climb up the steep staircase at my office without huffing and being totally out of breath for a while like I used to. So even though the scale is barely moving, I feel better. Does anyone else have a non-scale victory to share?

Hi Gals
LawMomVeronica Awesome Your doing so good!

AmberD on all that running!

likenoother I'm glad your foot is doing better

Idealmuse Great job on those triceps ! Your picture isn't showing up on my computer for some reason.

Hun e. b. Great job on the walking Funny about the snickers because that was my temptation today . It was the snickers icecream bars but I walked away and left them at the store. Your fall picture isn't showing for me

707Goddess Great job

I've done good on eatting today . I haven't done any exercise as of yet today but I'm thinking of doing some when I get off of here. I did walk around shopping a lot today and that has to count for something. I always park far away from the store so I can get in extra exercise. I'm off of here! Good nite Ladies.

I heard this song on the radio this evening and can't get it out of my mind. lol Does anyone else here remember this ? It is a Glen Campbell song. I don't remember the year.

If you see your brother standing by the road
With a heavy load from the seeds he's sowed
And if you see your sister falling by the way
Just stop and stay you're going the wrong way

You got to try a little kindness
Yes show a little kindness
Just shine your light for everyone to see
And if you try a little kindness
Then you'll overlook the blindness
Of narrow-minded people on the narrow-minded streets

Don't walk around the down and out
Lend a helping hand instead of doubt
And the kindness that you show every day
Will help someone along their way

You got to try a little kindness
Yes show a little kindness
Just shine your light for everyone to see
And if you try a little kindness
Then you'll overlook the blindness
Of narrow-minded people on the narrow-minded streets

You got to try a little kindness
Yes show a little kindness
Just shine your light for everyone to see
And if you try a little kindness
Then you'll overlook the blindness
Of narrow-minded people on the narrow-minded streets
