    Bridgette, yeah I was bummed too to see how the exercise challenge was going....but hey, at least we're gettin healthy in the process, eh? Yes, Costco is just like a Sam's...big wharehouse typa deal. I love finding yummy foods there!

    Muse, I hope you're feeling a little better this afternoon. Ouch! I am famous for rolling my ankles, I go down at the drop of a hat constantly and much to the embarrassment of my kids! Yeah, the tub thing....I'm thinkin that I wouldn't wanna go clean anyone elses cause I hate cleaning my own. ha! Actually I got a guy coming to fix ours too on Friday, how weird is that? Your workouts with the step, is this anything like the Transfirmer from The Firm collection? I bought that thing and darnit if I can't do anything on it yet!

    LawMom, I thought about asking about meds too for you but forgot. Definitely get with your doc and see about adjusting those rx's! Thyroid issues can be so frustrating, I commend you for sticking it out.

    jelynn, congrat's on 3 days! Feels really good once you get going, huh? Good for you! What is the deal with t-tapp? I hear alot of people rave about it but haven't really checked into it.

    kelli, I am thrilled to hear you're having great days! I can certainly relate to the all or nothing mentality! It is something I am trying really hard to break out of because it does nothing but set me back a whole lot. You can do it too!

  • Getting in here late today, sorry gang.

    Had a busy morning.... went to see the symphony with DD2 and her school. It was amazing! DD1 really wants to persue a career or something-or-other in music like this and while watching it gave me goosebumps to think of that being her one day playing all that beautiful music! Was a really great trip and well worth the headache I got to & from on the bus listening to all that chatter!

    Having a very off day as far as eating and exercise. Field trip threw me off big time and now I'm struggling to play catch-up. Missed breakkie and gnitpicked lunch....stress is brewing over here again and I am fighting it (kelli this is where my all or nothing attitude comes into full swing!) .... Have a busy evening as well, so will do my best to fit in some form of exercise somewhere....... DS has guitar and then we have a parent meeting for a Washington D.C. trip for DD1 in spring.... $$ and more $$ pouring out!

    Ladies, have a spectacular evening and keep fighting the good fight!!!

    Today has been a great day for me. I apologize for not being on the message board more often I have had a wicked week at work. I have gotten in all my water so far this week and am working on consistent exercise. I am feeling much better now than I have in the past. Everyone keep up the good work and let's kick put at the weigh in.

    Yeah the step I use is one of those club ones like they used in the 90s. You wouldn't know it because they aren't popular anymore but they still make all kinds of current DVDs for that thing.

    The Transfirmer basically is a step just has that extra step/incline included. I don't have a Transfirmer but I have the DVDs that came with it. I've only attempted one of them once and that was last summer and I wasn't really ready for it yet. I might try one again later this year. Some of those moves in the transfirmer require supporting your own body weight in ways I can't quite do yet.

    Step isn't my favorite thing but It's semi fun once you start getting past the basic steps. I like to throw it in a few times a week so I don't outwear my love for Turbo Jam!

    I have been doing AWESOME since Monday and I hope to pleasantly surprise everyone and myself with my weigh in next week. I feel really good too!!! Much more patient with my kids, not as tired as I was before. I just feel good!

    Hopefully everyone else is have a good week!
  • I love how everyone is sticking to their diet and exercise plan. We're going to kick butt in weigh ins. I haven't done a whole lot of exercise, because my knee has been killing me.

    I weighed myself this morning, and couldn't believe it. 174! I was 179 last week.
  • Great job on the loss Veggielady! I have been kicking butt in the food category myself. Water, still struggling, but still trying to get it in. Exercise--still not doing it. No excuse--just lazy!
  • Like - Water seems to be a struggle for a lot of us. Once in awhile I'll throw in one of those lemon or lime flavor packets and that helps a bit, but I still don't find myself drinking water unless I purposely try to.

  • I know I usually have to force myself to drink water and find myself putting lemon juice in it. Maybe one day, we'll get used to drinking it.
  • Hey everyone I just wanted to pop in quickly and say hi and share my surprising little victory this week of losing 3lbs after weeks of being at a plateau I was quite excited as I hadn't really done anything different this week

    I just realized tomorrow is weigh in day for me. I've not had any water today (speaking of water) normally I at least get my 2 liters. But, I seem to have picked up this nasty little cold from my daughter...isnt she nice to share! But when I feel so much head conjestion I just cant seem to bring myself to get the water in. Throat is sore, ears are plugged and nose is plugged and none of that OTC stuff helps other than to give me dirty ol shoe mouth which water just makes worse! Whoa is me! LOL!!

    I had 2 exams today and I'm beginning the studying for my tax exam for next week which is probably gonna put me 6 feet under! Talk about stress! So if you dont see much of me thats what I'm doing!

    Its WAY to quiet around here.

    I just got my Jillian Michaels DVDs in the mail, did one tonight and she definitely kicked my a$$, just what I needed! I got off my food plan tonight, my SO was making cookies and I think habit just kicked in or something, I ate a bunch of the dough and two finished cookies. argh! Stupid habit! I don't think he's trying to sabotage me, he's just tired of not having any junk food around. (Well, if he hadn't eaten all the light ice cream, we would still have some junk, lol) How did everyone else do on their eating plan this week?

    Just ran through Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3 for the first time. Wow! I've come a long way since I started I can't even believe I got through that thing... and without too much trouble. Don't get me wrong it was quite the workout, but when I looked at it last year I couldn't keep up with the speed past the first punching segment. Just one of those nice non-scale victories.

    Tub guy has to come back next week we had to get a new faucet because he can't do it with it dripping. Thought he could just turn off the water but he needs water for the job. ah well...

  • Good morning everyone, just got my workout in and ate me some Special-K because I got the shakes after working out. I hate when that happens... Besides that funny feeling I feel good.

    Did any of you see that episode not too long ago with Dr. OZ on Oprah? They did some study with water and he said that unless you are dehydrated that ya don't have to drink a bunch of water everyday, unless ya just want to, that it makes no diference in hydration for your skin and what-not. I don't remember his exact words, maybe it's on her website someplace. He said really they only benefits to drinking water when you are trying to lose weight is to make yourself feel fuller. I was shocked, but since then I haven't been forcing myself to gulp down two to 3 of the 33.8 oz bottles everyday. Because 1 cup of coffee and milk with my cereal everyday, all I ever drink is water, so I guess I am doing ok. I drink alot while working out, well, a bottle, and then I sip on another throughout the day... Maybe I can find the exact wording for those who didn't see it.
