Default Awesome!

YAY EVERYONE! I love reading all of the NSV's. To me, they are so much more valuable than any number on a scale I am looking forward to my own NSV's. Right now, I'd have to say the biggest one has to be the change in my attitude! I feel like I CAN do this. First time in a long time I've felt that way, and it feels so good

Thanks for all the inspiration, and keep em coming!

Mandy

I shared this on the weekend chat, too, but wanted to mention it in this NSV thread...
A couple of NSVs for me in the past few days...

Cholesterol went from high 200s and LDL in the 100s to 146 with LDL of 77 without meds... just this diet and walking (w/ a little jogging thrown in) 3-4 miles/day. CRAZY great!

Fit into a size 16 pair of jeans last night... haven't worn that size for 20 years. Granted, I couldn't BREATHE very well, but holy crap, my arse looked good! lol! Within a week or two, they'll fit splendidly... and then will be too big.

This is fun thread!
*My wedding ring fits again!!
*Forgotten clothes from the bottom of the drawers that fit again!
*Best of all, my blood sugar is way down. I was almost on insulin (it got that bad), but my doctor wanted to keep me on oral medication if possible. Now I'm hoping I'll be able to take that (and the blood pressure medicine) away for good eventually!!

Default I so needed this tonight!

I was in a negative mood and reading this thread really helped me re-evaulate my attitude!

I have been on IP for 9 weeks now. I don't seem to be a fast loser like so many buy I have to remember that 28 pounds in 2 1.2 months is nothing to sneeze at.

My NSVs...

I had to buy new pants - 2 sizes smaller!
My undies are too big! You know you have really lost when your undies are too big!
My knees no longer scream each time I stand up.
My LDL went down 65 points in just the first 4 weeks.
My sugar is down and I wont have to go on insulin!!! I think this is the best one so far.

Thank you all for posting your NSVs as they helped me realize this is about more than the scale!

Many little NSVs so far, but one I am loving is the energy I have. I used to drag through the week, and look forward to the weekend just to sleep in....not good when working full time, being a wife, and a mother to a toddler....now I'm up bright and early, and ready to gooooo!! Lovin' this feeling

I am new at this but love this thread the NSV's are to me by far the best motivation!

2 weeeks ago my pants kept "rolling" under my tummy cause they were to tight and now they go down cause they are already to big!!!!

Also, I have already had a few people notice my weight loss wich to me is extremely encouraging because I have always been sooo self-conscious...

Congratulations, all of you! Some NSVs since starting IP in the beginning of October:
* I'm no longer in the obese BMI category.
* My body has a shape! I have cheekbones! And wrists! And a waist!
* I can fit into clothes I haven't worn for a year.
* I feel empowered about my ability to make positive changes in my life. This is probably my biggest NSV.

rainbow I have to say, going from a cane to finishing a 5K is by FAR the best NSV I've read so far since being on this forum. There are MANY MANY AWESOME ones...but really from a cane to finishing a 5K...WOWZA girlie!

SDChickie Wait two weeks you won't be squeezing into them soon! I blew past the 16's and all of a sudden I went from an 18 to a 12-14...keep trying them on, don't think you won't fit. Make all your smaller clothes "maybe tomorrow" and keep trying them on!

...I love this thread!
