Question~Does any one here us a stability ball to exercise with? I just got mine out and gave it a good look over. I think I can use the ball to help with some of my weight training like flies, over head triceps dips, even triceps cross overs. Maybe I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Pat

I managed to squeeze in my lower body strength training Sunday evening. I had forgotten that we had an additional hour long service at 4:00, then cake and punch after the evening service, but I still got it done. Now I'm completely caught up to today! I also was able to resist the tables and tables of goodies at church. I just had a 1.5 inch square piece of cake, which was well within my calorie and carb allowance for the day. Unfortunately my scale doesn't seem to be jiving with all my other victories. It seems to have gotten stuck. But I'm going to believe that it is due to my fairly new strength building regime......I firmly expect it to start dropping this coming week.

H&H~Please don't give up on me!!! You are my inspiration, you help me to giggle when I would rather cry, you are the one my friend that gave me the courage to keep trying by telling me about stepping on phone books. If you don't feel like stepping today don't step. Find something else to do so you don't feel bored or guilty. Depression is a thief, it robs us of our energy. It tries to take away our goals, even who we are. You are not alone H&H. It is not a bad thing to feel down in your spirit, Just don't stay down. Maybe a short walk would help. Just know you have friends that care about you, we are on your side. Chin up. Pat

Thanks soooo much Pat!! I needed to hear that! I finally got up and did my hour of steppin, while watching Twin Peaks. You know, I do feel better! Now it's just a matter of getting the kitchen cleaned up from last night's dinner so I can make dinner tonight!

DH keeps telling me not to worry. The weight will come off as long as I keep on plan. I also have a line chart on my fridge that I look at often to keep my motovation up.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!! And thanks for all your support!

H&H~Give the pilates tapes a try! I have a pilates dvd I am going to try. Again, I am very proud of you. Did you talk DH into the treadmill? I want mine from D-EX. Don't know where I would put it, but I sure would find a place fast!

Steph~Let us know how you like your new work out dvds. Not sure I could do Tao Bo.

I did 50 min of stepping so far so good. Pat

Yeah, DH has agreed to it! Now I need to find a good one. The Nordic Track A2105 is on sale right now for $549.88. Sears will deliver and assemble. I went to treadmilldoctor.com but they don't seem to think it would be worth the money. I'll need to talk to DH if he'd be willing to pay a little more for something else on sale. (Wow, he just came home! great minds, you know!)

Hey! If any of you do any kind of crafts, I started a Crafty Chicks? thread in General Chatter. Love to talk shop with ya!

I just got through running. I'm up to 2.5 miles at 5 mph. It is still so hard! For some reason I had the idea that running would get easier as I went along. I guess in a way it is, but as I keep adding distance, and occasionally speed, the difficulty level feels just as tough. I know that I need that or I won't get any better (much less lose weight) but it can be discouraging. I leave for my reunion early Thursday morning, and won't be back until late Sunday night. I don't want to miss more than one run, so I'm planning on getting up at 4:30 to get my run in before we leave. Wow! Who would have thought that I could be this committed!!

Monte~Way to Go! Good for you! My jogging looks like snail crawl next to you! You rock, keep up the great work. The scale will reward you, your clothes will fit so nicely. When does the new team challenge start? I don't want to miss it.

H&H~What kinds of crafts are on your thread? Does quilting count? I used to love to crochet but my fingers don't work the way they used to. Congrats on the up and coming treadmill. You will love it. I am turning green with envy.

I did an hour of stepping + ab workout + 83 wall push ups + 16 minute back, abs, hip, butt, and leg weight training. I did the squats and abs on a balance ball. I can feel it already!! Monte I know what you mean when you say feels sore already. Eating is on plan. Everyone have a good evening. Pat

Monte-Good luck to you and your reunion. I don't think I will ever have one! Way to go on your running!!

Pat - I'm almost positive that the new challenge will start sometime in September when the tv show starts back up. Last time around there were banners and announcements, so I don't think you'll miss it!
