I'm thinking of getting back in the challenge ring.

I'd like to lose 5lbs.
Oh and I'd like to take my multi-vitamin, probiotics and vitamin D every day!

I'm starting small. Reeling in giddiness still from the 5 lb loss last month

I'm in.

I want to lose 7 pounds, excercise 6 day/week, & not go over 1500 cals until Thanksgiving.

Good luck to everyone.

November (by Thanksgiving) goals for me:

Stay ON PLAN with food even when out of town. Not always easy, but I know how to do it.

Exercise, exercise and more exercise! 5-6 days/week

Lose 6 lbs. (this will be the likely result of sticking with the first two, and would put me at 189 for the first time since I quit smoking 2 years ago)

The first two goals are the most important. The number part, I can't control except by staying solidly on track. After that, it's all up to the scales.

Hi everyone! This is my first holiday challenge! I'm excited!

Ok, I have a few goals...

Weight: Thanksgiving morning weigh in at 157. (-5.4# from now..)

Food: Stay on plan until Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving will still be an "on plan" day, just bumping my calories up to 1800 for that day.

Exercise: Workout 5 times per week, 30 minutes minimum.

General: I want to start appreciating all the hard work I am putting in! This is hard work and I don't think I give myself enough credit!

Reward for meeting this challenge: Some new jeans, shirts that fit!

Good luck everyone!!

Good looking goals everyone! Lots of new people too! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

I'm starting off this challenge so excited! I feel so great to have met my weight goal and most of my other self-challenges for the last one and I'm hoping for some good results and outcomes this time!

Did an awesome jog last night (with some walking intervals when I got the worst stitch ever under my rib) and I have Zumba after work tonight! Only part of the week I'm dreading so far is my self-inflicted tidying session I have planned for tomorrow morning - I have made such a mess of clothes in the room where I keep them at my boyfriend's place, it needs to be sorted out! Half the stuff is too big so I'm hoping to sort them out and perhaps sell some on Trademe (NZ's version of ebay I guess).
Other than that the only scary part is Saturday - dinner out at an Indian restaurant for a friend's birthday followed by another friend's birthday party - but I can do this!

Of course I'm in!

I'll get somewhat dramatic too...I WILL get to ONEderland!!

Didn't quite make it last time, but I am only 4 lbs away! If I get further than 199, great...but either way I am saying goodbye to the 200's FOREVER this month!!

Exercise: I've been slacking lately due to things that both are and aren't my fault...but no more excuses! I will set a realistic goal for at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Combination weights, yoga and cardio.

Calories: Shoot for about 1500/day on average, 1400-1600 range. No more than one cheat MEAL (no more cheat DAYS) per week until Turkey Day!

I am fired up, girls!!

Although I am not an American and we Canadians have already had our Thanksgiving, I would like to join this challenge and my goal is to keep my calories in check and at or between 1200 to 1500 daily.

I'd like to say that although I didn't meet my Halloween challenge weight loss goal, I did NOT succumb to Halloween candy over the weekend. I'm quite proud of myself for that one...

For this challenge - I'd like to see the next decade on the scale, which will require just over 3lbs to be gone, and I will workout 4x a week (preferably 5-6 but 4 is the minimum) and I'll increase my intensity. I'm still recovering from surgery so I'm having to very slowly ramp things back up - I'm way off where I was before, particularly with my strength training, but I'm heading back in the right direction now. Yay.

I'm in again! Good to see everyone and welcome to all the newbies.

Goals- 1-eat all healthy food
2-Continue to Jog & power walk everyday for at least 40min.
3-maintain between 106 & 110 lbs.( my body is changing somehow, this may be hard, even with eating all whole food & staying within my calorie range)
4-make sure i eat enough of fat every day, I never eat over 6g.( 10% of my calories at least)
5-Stay within my range of 1260-1610 cal. to maintain.( 1260 works best)
6- convince my husband to eat all whole foods, he's trying very hard.
7- try to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need to be healthy.

My list is long, but every one of them is so important. I've had a problem w/ my periods, didn't have one for 11mo. I raised my calories by 100 a day in Sept. to maintain( managed to maintain the wrong way for 15mo.) & added more healthy fats to my diet. Adding more calories didn't even make me gain, I'm very active. It took 2 months, but I got my period finally. My body fat was 18%, I think that's an athletes number. I'm far from it! I was only eating at the highest, 7 grams of fat per day, not on purpose, i wasn't even trying to. I just happen to eat naturally low fat foods, they are my favorite foods. I've learned my lesson, I added a couple of almonds here & there through out the day for extra fat. My body is changing now, i can't lose water weight as quick, takes pretty long, so I really have to stay away from junk now. Eating more fat, has caused me hold more fat on my body, so I can't get down to 105lbs. anymore, but that's ok. I'll do what I have to, to stay healthy even if it means I have to gain a few pounds. I know my limits and I've learned so much while trying to maintain, I feel great, always have, but maybe I'll feel even better now!.

To everyone losing weight or maintaining- please be careful & learn as much as you can about the foods you eat and how many nutrients you need. Some fat is needed in your diet, there are vitamins that can't be absorbed by your body without fat. Good luck to all!

Lub ya too girl

quick check in. Today I did a pretty intense circuit workout and was shaking though-out the entire thing But I got it all in! burned 565 calories

I got a call today to start that temp job tomorrow so im pretty excited about that Its a 1st shift position (10hrs a day, 3days off) and i will get home just in time for DH to leave for his night job.

Im kinda nervous because i haven't worked a full time job in a very long time im sure once i get use to it i will be fine. im going to go ahead and plan tomorrow's meals the night before and make sure im getting enough calories in.

ok, later gators...hopefully i can check in soon
