Welcome to TBL Challenge, tkglenn! Once the challenge starts, each team will have it's own thread to chat in. This one is for all 3 teams to get reacquainted and to connect with the newbies. The one post week minimum is to be eligible for the weekly biggest loser title for your team. For me, the main part of this challenge is to get support from your other team members. Unfortunately, there are quite a few people on each team that never post or post so rarely that we don't get the opportunity to get to know them. Post away! We're excited to get to know you better!

I'm undecided about weighing in between challenges. I think I probably will because I have an excel spreadsheet with a chart that I post my weight weekly. I am going out of town this weekend to visit a couple of friends who I haven't seen in a while. One of them has been gone for about 4 years and has invited me up for a scrapbooking weekend. While I'm there, I'm going to visit another friend who lives about an hour away from the first friend. (Trying to save on gas by seeing them both on one trip). Both friends know I am focusing on eating healthy and exercising. I'm not sure what to expect foodwise, but am going to try to make as healthy of choices that I can and try to be moderate if I make unhealthy choices (moderation is a huge issue of mine).

I have been struggling with the exercise these past few days. I took the weekend off from my regular exercise to do some labor intensive things around the house. I feel so tired and drained. I'm not sure if it's the weather (severe thunderstorms) or if I'm still tired from working on the house, but I could hardly get my exercise in the past 2 days. My Zumba class was canceled last night so I decided to do something at home. I started 2 different dvd's before I quit them both and did a different one. I guess I just wasn't in the mood. I have a definitely short term goal that is separate (and in addition to) this challenge, so I really don't want to sabotage the progress I've made to date.

I'm here alot. I have actually gotten so lazy with house chores because I'm on the computer all day. I know I can do this. I have 4 children and 3 dogs so hopefully I can get fit with them.

I really hope so. I am in desperate need of motivation and determination. I don't get much of it from my hubby.

Oh Boy! Somebody is throwing down already! I must warn you guys....I'm fired up and ready to see Onederland by July 14th, so be prepared. Blue team will kick some serious butt on this next challenge!

Tina, Congrats on making it to onplan day 9! That must feel incredible.

I'm on day 8. Yesterday was my official weigh-in day (down 3.2 pounds!) so I had a planned cheat meal. Hubby grilled ribeyes and I had some onion rings. Dessert was a little Dove milk chocolate candy bar. I absolutely enjoyed every single bite! This morning, I'm right back on plan. I plan on sticking with this even during our 3 week hiatus. I won't be putting my scales away, though. I'm a daily weigher. I find that doing this helps keep me accountable to myself. I'm much less likely to cheat if I know that I have to face the scale each morning. I'm also planning on bumping up the exercise this go round. Hubby and I walked a lot last week, so the scales smiled brightly for me. I like bright shiney scales, so I'll continue the walking. I'd also like to see some changes in my "before" pictures, so I'll start the resistance bands, too.

Guess what Hubby and I did yesterday? We adopted a 4 month old puppy from the human society! He is so absolutely precious....part lab, mostly black with some white markings on his chest, paws and muzzle. We named him Beau. I think he's gonna be a big boy. I'm hoping the vet can give me a clue at his visit tomorrow. So far, my other two dogs aren't all that impressed with the big oaf. Hunny, my 6 year old chihuahua has already let him know that she is now "top dog" around this joint. Her son, Max (my dear Cody was his daddy) is scared of the him. All the big guy wants to do is play with Max, but he's not having any of that! Thank goodness that Hubby and I are on vacation this week. I had forgotten how much work is involved with potty training.

Well, I sure am a chatty one today! Hubby is still sleeping. I'm going to wake him up now and tell him to take me to Trader Joe's! I've still not made it over there. Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

PS....I love spring, but this pollen is killing me! *big sneeze*

Tina - Sunday I went out to dinner with some old friends. I wasn't perfectly on plan but I didn't get out of control and just was not perfectly on plan that one meal. I'm undecided if I am considering myself OP that day. If I decide to consider that OP then today is my day 9 too. I have a feeling that after this weekend it will be back to day 1 for me!

I'll be a newbie this time as well. And my time taker (a math evaluation test for a return to college) ended this morning so I'll be around more. I'm thinking this thread will move fast as it's not even noon and we're on the second page....

Anne! Yes, we are a chatty bunch. Please don't get overwhelmed if the thread gets pretty long in between posts. Just read what you can and post when you want. We love hearing from everyone.

Ok this will be my first time as well! How does this work....I was reading something about points for certain things etc... so do we go by weight loss per week or do we go by points or do we go by body fat % loss? Just curious what I'm getting myself in for LOL

I work a 40 hour a week job just this week I'm off for Spring Break so I am here during the daytime this week.

This sounds like a great accountability challange for me!

WELL Melissa ... I'll pit myself and my 5 lbs Hula Hoop against you and yours ... it'll be kind of like a Throwdown

Get that whip out Chelle (oh sorry I forgot ... you never put it up) because she is gonna need the threat of your whip to beat me

Really, this is fun!

Welcome DMPLS! We go by weight loss and % of weight lost. Once the challenge starts, each team will have individual team challenges (for exercise, staying on plan, getting your water in, etc.) and that may be were the points that you referenced come in. As for what you're getting yourself into...that depends on which team you're on, I think! As you can already tell - I'm sure, the Blue team is into the whips, etc. They kinda scare me , I'm not sure what your punishment is for getting out of line there! Edit: actually whenever I visit their thread they all seem a bit out of line so maybe the punishment is for staying in line!
