Yes Danielle is going back to school tomorrow!!!!! She bout drove me crazy yesterday!!!lol.
Bob-So very glad to see you posting we have missed you. Yup hubbys back on the road until April 21. We are playing build up the old checkin account after the purchase of our car....lol Sorry to hear you are having disc problems will keep you in my prayers.
Hi to eveyone else I have to help Danielle with her catch up work. Later all!!!
HI all! We're enjoying our spring break, but I would love tto be able to just throw open the windows and let some fresh air in. I can't do that now without swimming in pollen.
The kids had a doctor's appt this morning with their pediatrician and they both got two shots each. They both got a new vaccine for hepatitis A that is out now. Rachel got her final guardisil for cervical cancer and Sean got a meningecoccal (?) vaccine. They both have sore arms. Everything else checked out for now. They go back to the cardiologist tomorrow, and we'll see what they have to say.
I am going to update my ticker. I have put on a few pounds, but have thankfully pulled it back down to the 220's again. I just think that maybe having the correct weight on it and be rewarded for losing again will help.
I am really trying to get back to my most recent low of 219 and then go from there!
I went off plan a little yesterday with the stress of Mom's episode & hospitalization, but back on plan today & got my 2 miles in this afternoon also! Feels good to be back on track!
Mom is back at the NH with orders to change her insulin type & dosage & will monitor the BS more closely.
Hey everyone! I got the kiln loaded with glaze stuff and turned it on. I need to go turn it up in a few minutes, and then close up the peep holes. I got my fingers crossed that it turns out good.
Dinner tonight was what Tom could rustle up for us...he went and got fried chicken from Publix and make green beans and mashed potatoes. I ate a small serving of the potatoes, and tried to avoid the crispy stuff on the chicken, but failed a good bit. I was absolutely delicious, and I know it was because I did not have to fix it!
I did not get my walk in again today. I really need to figure out how to find the energy to DO it. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! My ankle was bothering me, and I am just SO tired all the time! I hear the temperature is going to drop dramatically over the weekend, which is a bummer, because I was hoping that we could get the pool opened and I would be able to get some water aerobics in. It is going to be a few more weeks before that happens now.
MELF: You are an inspiration! Even with that stress, you got right back on track!
I am still getting over this terriable bug, and now Eric has caught it l beleive as he had a terriable night sleeping, lots of coughing and crying, so that means Mommy didnt sleep well either. We are both coughing this morning and l am tried, he dosen't seem to be though, which means no nap for us.
I am hoping it clears up for both of us by the 21 as we are flying home to Ontario for the first time in a plane for Eric and I, We drove out here when we moved cause l was chicken to fly, but l am missing my family alot so l figured l have to get over my fear and fly home and see my Mom. I am so looking forward to 2 weeks of having family and friends around. Living in a strange city makes it very hard.
Even with out exercising at curves these last 2 weeks l am still loosing pounds just doing housework and chasing Eric around.
Hope all of you are doing good and that your enjoying your weather around you. We got snow right now but by this weekend soppose to get into the low 20 (70) I can't wait.
Talk to you all soon.

Keep up the good job friends
No I didn't desert the ship! I just have been so busy, which I love, and I get tired. Then time just slips away while I'm too lazy to get out of the chair and post.
I did get the soft white yarn and the two colors are a nice soft look. I am pleased. Had to do a little bit to see how it worked up. Sometimes something you think looks great in the skein, loses something in the translation.
I have been going in the pool, but not today. It rained quite a while this morning and quite heavy. I figured that would cool down the already cool pool a little too much.
I made up mind I am going to try some new dishes. Today it was a paella. I'm so glad I cut back on some of the spices or it would have been inedible! It cleared my sinuses! Don't know if Kevin liked it or not. (Later - He said it was alright, not much of an endorsement is it?) Lori and Ashley aren't home. One doesn't get home until about 6:30, the other is filming in N.O. and is staying overnight with friends.
I am going back to choir, since I can read again. A new member since I left picks up a lady around the corner and will stop by and pick me up too. I still don't feel comfortable driving at night.
BOB!!!!! So glad to see your post. Missed your sense of humor. It always seems to rain harder when you are down. I hope the rain on your parade ends soon. Back pain eases up and job in order. Did I miss something? I thought you have the opportunity to go back to work, did that fall through?
We have been to Shoney's before and were pleased. We stopped in Monday after entertaining and were disappointed. The really only good thing was the macaroni and cheese and the fish. Must have been an off day.
Hope Kate is okay. I know it's not easy but when you're in a funk but all the more reason to come here. If for no other reason than to be able to "verbalize" how you feel. We are here for each other.
MONET: Sorry, I had two little paws on my knee, dark eyes looking at me pleadingly while there was a toy being held in her mouth.....Bitsy wanted to,play. Had to stop and accomodate her a few minutes. Now where was I?
You are so lucky to be around your grandson at this age. Always learning something new.
I have never tried the Yarn Bee. I always head for Red Heart. I used to use Caron a lot too. My fav craft store is A.C. Moore. When I was living in PA one opened up in Middletown, NY. Then when I moved to Whiting, NJ there was one nearby in Silverton. They have so many crafts. Cross stitch section three times the size of Hobby Lobby and Michael's. I could spend hours in there! None around here. There is a Michael's over in Mandeville, about half hour or so from here.
I hope you get that darn bg under control. Don't know why you hate old doctor's office but if he gave results and insurance covers it, why not go back? That's the reason you're tired. Things sort of go round and round don't they. The body will get stronger. You are keeping active with your ceramics which is good. How did the glaze stuff turn out?
THUNDER: Glad Danielle in able to go back to school, Mommy can regain some peace.
THIN: Hope cardio appointment was okay. I had the windows open here a few days ago and the furniture was just covered with pollen! Had to dust when it was a non-dusting day.
Sometimes it's so hard to stay on track and you are getting there! You're down some #s and will go down more.
MELF: Good that Mom is out of the hospital and you are back on track. Sometimes we have to take care of our mind's troubles as well as our body's. Now that things are more normal you are on track again.
MO: Hope the bug leaves soon. What a nice thing to look forward to, a trip back home. Great that you are still losing in spite of the stress of sickness. Let's hope it will be behind you soon.
I head up to north Georgia tomorrow to work for the day. I will check in when I get home.
I opened the kiln and was pretty pleased with what I got. All four of the piggy banks made it, and some of the new glazes are pretty nice. Especially the pinkish one. It looks pretty nice paired with the blue.
I am very tired and can hardly keep my eyes open, so I am off to beddie bye!
Okay...I've spent the better part of a half hour cropping these pics so they'll take on here.
the first is one of Shelley getting her National Junior Honor Society card from her principal
The next ones are of Kyle sledding this winter and the last is Kyle getting his picture taken after getting an award for tying his shoes at school. He's the beautiful one in the front with the surfer-dude hair.
This is just a fly by as I have to leave for bowling in a few minutes. I was up early, about 5.30, and went for my mall walk. Did 5 laps this morning. Since then had breakfast and sat reading the newspaper. So now running out of time. Not much else planned for to-day. Got most of my shopping done yesterday for Easter. I will be having the family over for dinner on Sunday. Will just have to shop Saturday for veggies and bread. Eating has been o.k. most of the time except last night. It was after 8 p.m. and I had just picked up my gs from school and dropped him off at the bus stop. It was a toss up between coming home and cooking dinner or going to Wendy's and Wendy's won..
Tech - They are great pics you posted. You have two beautiful kids.
Well so far so good. I am already down one more pound! The kids had their cardio appt yesterday and she really applauded them in their efforts! They both have grown some and had only negligible weight gain. She says they look more in proportion than they have before. So that's good. They will have bloodwork done in June before they see her again. We'll see if we can get out in the warmer spring weather and take of a couple of pounds before then.
I signed Sean up for his new driver's class the week of June 11. We started in the parent's workbook this morning, so we're moving right along. It has changed so much from when I was a teen!
Our Spring Break is almost over, but we are going to My bil and sil tomorrow evening for a cook out. We are planning the usual hamburgers and hot dogs. I am bringing the meat for my crowd, so I'll make sure I pick up ww buns for us. She is also making chili cheese fries! I'll see how well I can resist. The temps are going to dip down into the 30's for the next few nights, so we'll have a bonfire for our hotdogs. Fun!!
It is totally nuts, here. I don't know where to start. I don't know if it will ever end. Haven't seen the gym all week. Not looking forward to the scale. I'm so tired, I don't want to cook. Looks like the board has been slow. It's after 5:00 amd I still have stuff to finish so I need to run. Just wanted to pop in and let you know I am here in spirit.
I was so tired today & my back hurt. Didn't feel up to doing much, but late afternoon I finally got up the energy to get in the kitchen & wash dishes, started supper & found the strength to get out & do my 2 mile walk before eating. Funny how that gives you more energy, even though you're worn out from the walking!
Solly, sure hope you feel better soon. Maybe if you can find the time to get to the gym it might help you feel better?
Thin, 1 lb is 1 lb...WTG! Keep up the good work!
Rosalie, what do you eat at Wendy's? I was on the road yesterday...had to pick up DB at airport so we stopped at Wendy's but needed to get it to go so I couldn't get a salad. Ended up getting the Ultimate Grill but sure didn't want to! Over 300 cals & 44 carbs
Tech, Cute kids! Thanks for sharing them even though it was work to crop them.
Monet, Glad things are getting better with the pottery.
SEF, Too cool for the pool now, huh? I've been down right cold today! Wish I would have had the time yesterday to look you up. Thought of you & Missy. I took hyw 90 to Kenner to pick up DB at the airport. Nice drive now that it's 4 lanes all the way. It's actually faster than going I-10 from here.
Mo, glad you are feeling better & hope Eric is better very soon.
BOB, where are ya??? Hope all is ok.
Thunder, hope the girls are doing ok now & you're back on track.
Hey everyone! I am back. We glazed a few pieces and did two glaze tests. It was another day of plotting and planning and just talking. We took a quick trip to a near by pottery we have been trying to get in to see that has been closed the few times we tried to go. It was eye opening. They had beautiful glazes, but their pieces were NOT good. The handles were too small, short, or disproportionate to the pot, pieces were heavy, warped, or just plain not a nice shape. I found it encouraging, as did Bonnie. I have an idea for how I want to develop right now. It is so great having someone who can help you sort stuff out...who has a good artistic eye. So, I will start on developing a 'style' now...I kind of have one, but have not spent much time developing my work seriously. Now is the time.
Tomorrow we have a Seder dinner at church and I am fixing the lamb. Fun.
I am so tired, I am going to get off here and head to bed! Night!
Popping in to wish everyone a Happy Easter! We are heading to the camp this weekend - we'll be back Sunday. Weather is supposed to be crappy but I know I'll still enjoy myself - my sister and her girls are coming with us - so we'll play lots of cards, games, etc. Terry will be the miserable one - he hates to be cooped up! I'm off all next week so I should have some time to catch up! I MISS ALL OF YOU!!!
I've been up since 5a.m. ...Already had two pots of coffee....and am about to do some dishes s and of course...the almighty laundry! ...I've got some house work to do today
Can't decide if I'm going to cook Sunday, or go out to eat. Most of the SNOWBIRDS have gone home, but I'm sure the lines will be just as long with the locals.
JACK....You off today? Is tonight your last fish fry? How bout the storms....anything close to your house?
THUNDER....What are you and the girls doing for EASTER???
ROSALIE...How bout you...are you going over to the
THIN...What's on your agenda for the holiday?
