I'm annoyed with myself. Some chav teen called me a name in the street and I am very annoyed it has upset me. Obviously I don't care what he thinks of me he's just some idiot but I guess any fat remark hits the spot.

Poor Veg - what an a*se hole he must be - try to shrug it off and forget about it. One day you'll not only be gorgeous but slim too, but he'll still be a thoughtless idiot.

Don't think about crisps - they're devil food!

Glad you're having a better day Michele - and yes, Sarah, your flowers do sound lovely!

Thanks.

It has happened to me about 3 times at the same spot if it happens again I may go mad. There are just a few horrible households up the street. It's just normal for them to be nasty I guess.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate people like that. Wait til you get wolf whistled though, I still don't know whether to take that as a compliment or someone is just taking the mick.

Body combat is like Tae Bo, you don't fight anyone, just kick and punch to music. I say just, but it was a really hard workout. I was soaked at the end. I was the fattest there by a long shot, but I didn't care, and I kept up, and didn't need my inhaler.

Then we went for quite a long walk this evening. I have had a very active Easter! Back to work tomorrow........groan.

Sarah Ann, you gotta write the book.........I never even thought someone had the job of inventing lamb and mint flavoured crisps and such, it just never occured to me that someone actually has to think these things up and develop the right combination of E numbers

Veggie ~ That's a HORRIBLE thing for someone to do to another person, just right out in the middle of the road! HOW DARE HIM!!! He probably has some self esteem issues of his own, and has to try to hurt someone else. I'm glad you didn't let him get you down anymore, and just think, one of these days ~ YOU WILL SHOW HIM!!!

Well the long weekend break recharged my battteries, but I'm back at work now .

Yesterday Kim and I went to the french market and bought two 250g baguettes and two pain au raisins (why? just because they were French? ), and then when I got home the mum of my oldest friend phoned me and told me my friend hanged himself in the woods yesterday , and after comforting her for an hour I promptly put the phone down and ate a whole baguette and one of the pain au raisins .

OK so I was upset - and I still am upset, naturally. It's perfectly normal for me to be upset - it would be odd if I wasn't - but since when did eating cure anything?

Now I'm not just upset, but p*ssed off with myself for immediately running to food when I was feeling low - it seems I haven't learned anything in the last 12 months after all.

I think I'll go now - I'm not very happy today....

for you Dippy so sorry about your friend.

I had a crap eating weekend. Anything new there? Er, no! I did go to the gym with my future parents in law and really kicked some butt!

Feeling a little under the weather today, I have students to interview and the gym to go to and kickboxing to go to too!

Oh and could someone please tell me why I bought chocolate Hob Nobs this morning??

Oh Janey, what an awful thing to happen.

IMHO it was perfectly rational to deal with your grief in any way you could/can. No, eating doesn't SOLVE anything - but if it helps you get through such a bad time then you can always pick up the slimming battle again later.

Your poor friend must have been so depressed and what a dreadful thing for any mother to experience. (No mother should outlive her children!)

Morning Frus - did you avoid the cream teas and pasties?

See y'all later - just off to walk the doggies.

I didn't have a pasty or a cream tea, but I did have saffron buns, clotted cleam with cheesecake and clotted cream ice cream with clotted cream on the top... Oh clotted cream, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! I didn't bring any home though, so that can only be a good thing!

CLOTTED CREAM ICE CREAM WITH CLOTTED CREAM ON THE TOP????

(The cheesecake combo sounds yummy!)

I wish this weather would make up its mind - one minute bright sunshine and the next there was a hail storm. Luckily this time I had some waterproofs with me. The poor dogs looked like that old dog left out in the garden in the rain in the advert for the RSPCA.

Indeed - so I am going to pound away at the gym in precisely 28 minutes! I have a "free weights induction" so that I can actually use the bench press rack!

Your poor dogglies they need an umbrella!
