Hello girls I am going to be heading off to bed because I have to get up at 230 again and be on the road by 3-315

I finally got some solid sleep last night without the hacking and coughing- whoo hooo

Tammy what great deals you got that is awesome I might have to hit the Bass Pro Shop up next Tuesday when we go to Omaha - we catch our flight for Jamaica at 5am Wednesday but we go to Omaha the day before because DH gets free rooms all the time at the casino and hopefully I can get as lucky as you Great job on getting to BC in the mornings

Well tomorrow will be a long day again but only have 5 more days after tonight till vacation - yipeeee

I also looked up the thread and introduced myself as well
Hopefully she will join our thread someday

Ok I am going to head to bed to finish watching BL and then hopefully fall fast asleep

Have a Great Thursday

good evening chicks, Reda I am so glad you got to have a night of solid sleep

Hi Tammy Is it still unreasonably cold where you are?

I had today off, and it was a good mix of being lazy and doing another cleanup chore, a bookcase in the hall that looked terrible. I took out all the books, vacuumed them, and then arranged them. I never realized how many Stephen King paperbacks we have And I made the big effort to pull all my old Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines, it made quite a pile. I can only donate about a dozen at a time, so i might just recycle them in one big dump.

I had leftover chocolate chips from all the baking, and I found I was eating them each night!! so I threw them out.

Today I did The Biggest Loser Cardio cd that I can do now that our older son is home and i can borrow it

Good evening ladies,

CC: I am so glad that you got some good rest. I hate that you are having to do so many early shifts and being sick on top of it. Well, I am not sick, but sleep is limited. DH is VERY sick. He has been up since Sunday hacking and coughing. He has a horrible rattle in his chest. I took him to the doctor yesterday, she says it is just bronchitis. The flu swab was negative, but he sure is feeling crappy. If he is not better tomorrow he is going back.

Holly: Wow, you did a lot of cleaning and dusting. Doesn't it feel good when you get done?

You did a good job throwing out the chocolate chips. I always want to keep stuff like that..... but I know I should not.
I really liked the BL Cardio, glad you got to borrow it.

Do you ever watch HGTV and wonder what in the world these people do for a living? Or is it just me?

I am going to get to bed, hopefully going to get some sleep through the hacking and coughing.

Default Hi from Wisconsin, gals!

It's a beautiful day here! Snow melting like crazy. I work at an insurance office; and had someone ask me about riding their cycle this weekend! That's a good sign that either this guy was crazy, or that spring is on the way! (maybe both!)

My weight loss efforts are paying off for this first week. I haven't starved yet...and I have dusted off the elliptical machine, using it for 5 minutes, increasing 1 minute per day. That sure doesn't sound like much, but doing it--FEELS like FOREVER!!

If you gals don't mind me busting into your conversations, could you kindly update me on who is who, and where you are from, if you knew each other before 3FC, where you are at in your journey...if you work or what all.

For me, I used to always manage fast food--McD's, Taco Bell. That could have something to do with my current weight situation! Although, not entirely, as at least there, I was on my feet and getting exercise! Now I am at a desk, doing very little finger motions on a keyboard! That should burn off about 2 calories a day!

What I do have time for is to cook! I love to cook! That's another problem. I am also a penny pincher. I hate to see stuff go to waste..."I'd better eat that before it goes bad"...It was MUCH better when I had my dog! Mandy was a beautiful Saint Bernard who ate every leftover available, anything she could steal, and them some more! She died last summer after having a litter of pups. I miss her so much!

My husband has been on my tail forEVER about losing some weight. Not for looks, but for my health. My dream is to be lighter than him! I've done a pretty good job fattening him up too though, so maybe my dream won't be so hard to attain! Hehe! About 45 pounds and I'll be even with him.

These efforts are for ME though. Nobody else. Selfish of me huh?!

I have gotten quite a kick out of reading the posts on the forums. I like the quote that someone had about eating for the body you want, not the body you have. Makes good sense. Some skinny little chick would never dream of eating a whole box of mac & cheese. I did it all the time. Shame on me! If I can just eat for 1 instead of for a family of 4 I think I will win the battle!

good evening chicks, Tammy how did you sleep last night, with DH hacking and coughing? I hope he is better for both your sakes'

Hi Reda how are your lungs and your foot doing?

today I did the Keli Roberts step aerobics tape with ankle weights and held 3.3 lb dumbbells. I would be in such great shape if I could only control what I put in my mouth!!

I did all the laundry and got it put away, didn't do any special cleaning jobs today, I could have thrown out some more of DH's stuff, I'll save that for when I'm really mad

Had a bank teller ask me if I was jonesing for a ride, she knows how rabid I am, and I said yes, but hopefully the end is in sight at this point!

Well I'm Holly, my road name is Cupcake; I've lived in Vermont for almost 30 years. None of us here have met ....yet! I'm pretty close to what I want for goal weight, but I want to keep up the exercising for the rest of my life. I work full time at 2 different seasonal jobs; the winter one is blah and I really don't like it nor my boss; my summer one is fantastic and I live for it.
I learned to ride my own in 2002 on a Honda Shadow VLX 600cc; I was hit by a car in Sept. 05 and used the insurance money to buy a new Honda VTX 1300cc the following May, and I still have that bike and still love it.

Next!

and 2times2much, glad to see that you decided to visit us

Well I am a supervisor for currently 9 convience stores you probably know the chain (Caseys General Stores) I am married with 2 boys DS#1 20 yrs old and DS #2 19(will be 19 on Feb 1st) for the most part good boys but DS #2 likes to give us grief once in a while.....

I have been riding since 2000 of which I started out with VStar Custom 600 only rode it for 2 weeks before moving on to a VStar Custom 1100 loved that bike customized it for me then in Aug 2008 I bought my Chopper of which I love just as much

Me well I have am one of those that will lose weight then gain alittle back then lose it again right now I have about 20 pounds more to go and then I will re-evaluate at that time

Oh ya I am from South Dakota far southeast corner as you can get- I border IA by 20 miles and NE by 8 miles shoot MN is only 65 miles away

Great job on exercising - Starting out at 5 minutes and increasing by a minute per day means you are serious and you have a plan shoot when I started exercising I started out at 5 minutes tooo however I haven't really been able to exercise since Christmas did something to my foot (ball of my foot and so that really limits what you can do) It has been feeling pretty good but now today it really started to hurt again

Tammy hope you have been able to get some sleep- You know I had bronchitis so I know how he is feeling and DH knows how you are feeling
But my DR knew I only 9 days to get better before vacation so she gave me a ZPac and let me tell you after 3 more night of some restlessness and coughing I slept good

Well we haven't met yet but I hope to someday- Tammy lives pretty close to my dad (he lives in Branson, MO) so hoping when I make it there possibly next year over the holidays that maybe we will be able to meet up and hoping someday to meet up with Holly as well a group of us are talking about going to a rally where I may be able to meet up with her as well but we wil have to see what time brings us this year probably more craziness but who knows

Well girls I have been up since 230 this morning and I am really ready for bed so I will check back in tomorrow

2times. I was hoping you would join us here. You are more than welcome to chime in any time.

First of all, my name is Tammy. I live in NE Arkansas (close to Memphis, TN). I am recently married. I have 2 sons a 20 year old that is soon to be leaving for Kosovo with the National Guard, and I have a 16 year old. I have 4 dogs (2 weenie dogs, 1 Boston Terrier, and a Lab mix). I am very sorry for the loss of your St. Bernard. It is rough losing a pet member of the family.
I am a medical coder. I work for a neurosurgeon (the best) and I am fortunate enough that he has allowed me to hook my desk up to a treadmill in my office. That is how I started losing weight in October 2008 (DS#2 bet me I could not lose 65 pounds by the time I got married--which I did).

I started riding in 2007 when my (then boyfriend) now husband bought me my first bike. It was a 1996 Honda Shadown1100. I moved up to an 08 HD Sportster Roadster, then when the Harley Dealerships offered MSRP on the trade in of a Sportster to a bigger bike, we did it last January. So now I have a 2009 Dyna Superglide. I got it last January and have put 7800 miles on it. I took to to New Orleans and to Vegas. I love it..... and I love to ride. Both of my boys ride as well.

I think it would be soooo awesome if one day we could all meet at a rally.

I did get some sleep last night with the thanks of Benadryl. He is still coughing and hacking..... not quite as bad though. He tried to sleep in the bed with me, but as soon as he laid down it started. So, he went back to the LR.

This whole WL journey takes time and there is nothing wrong with increasing your time on the elliptical one minute at a time.

Holly, the guys at boot camp keep asking me when I am going to ride. I am chomping at the bit too..... but it is just too freaking cold for me right now! We are expecting temperatures in the 50s this weekend and next week. I may run her around town then..... not sure though.

I need to get busy. I will gab at you later.

CC, are you getting excited over your winter vacation yet?

Default Nice to meet you

Thanks for the posts back! Today was fun--kinda. We went to Madison to the dentist for my husband (the not so fun part) then to a HD dealership. I say I don't want to go, but have a lot of fun looking! We decided that we will wait til next year to get a Harley. I'm partial to the Fat Boys, and Tim loves the Ultra Glide Classics.

Next year hopefully we will have a house sold. Last summer we bought our new house, and still have our other one in Boscobel listed for sale. Next year Tim will be the big 50, and will really want a new Harley by then! He drives a 2008 Vulcan 1600, and I a 2007 Vulcan Classic.

We went out for lunch to Applebees. I was good...soup and salad...then of course a shared dessert, because I wanted the people to come out and sing Happy Birthday to Tim. They did--it was fun!

Sounds like a couple of you have been a little under the weather, and not feeling well. Take care!

I'm confused...DS, DH, and boot camp...Kid, Ex, and work out??

CC my husband gets to your neck of the woods every other week or so. He drives semi for QLF, and goes into the Dakotas. Heading there again on Monday.

Bed time for me. Talk to you gals again soon. Have a great weekend!

Colleen

Good morning chicks I had to MAKE myself work out yesterday, I stayed in bed til almost 9 am (I start work at 11!) and did 30 Day Shred level 3. Just a bout of winter blahs (depression) but better today, it sure helps that the sun is shining.

Colleen, my husband has the anniversary edition of the Vulcan, an 06 1500. Is your the 900? thats a real nice bike.

DS is Dear Son, DH is Dear Husband, and so on. I admit CC confused me with "DR" and then I realized it was Doctor

Boot Camp is a class that Tammy goes to, it is an intense exercise class.

I had motorcycle dreams last night! The roads were clear and hundreds of bikes were going by, but I knew there was loads of snow still around...sad.

DH is on his way this morning to possibly do a website for some moto friends who have a repair shop and the wife has the clothing/accessories shop, I am hoping they will want to just exchange goods for services!! she has beautiful HD tops, lots of leather, lots of sparkly things, drool.

well I gotta stretch some, then get ready for work. MLK weekend is a big busy weekend for us, at least the day will go by quickly.

Hello

Oh yes sorry about the confusion on DR (i should have put doc) anyways today us girls met up for spa pedicures and manicures before we leave for our trip, I just love spa pedicures they are so nice and relaxing

Well trying to get all house cleaning done before we leave so DH has been so nice today to get it started while I was off with the girls having some much needed girl time

Colleen sounds like you and DH had a wonderful time yesterday that is great
You know you guys have some nice bikes you should post a pictures- My husband always said he would never own a Harley then I talked into buying one and he loved it as they do ride different and all, then in September he bought a Boss Hoss and now that he has it he really wants to go back to his Harley Street Glide of which will probably happen this spring....

So does DH go into Sioux Falls or further west? So what is QLF? I am thinkg Quality Liquid Feed but almost sure that is not right so thought I would ask

Holly glad it is a busy weekend for you because then your real weekend with your days off will be before you know it

Ok well I suppose I should get off here and get some more work done
Have a Great Saturday

Default Got it straight now!

DH I had figured for a husband or ex-husband...I was reading it as Duh Husband!! LOL I was close...In my case it will be Duh Husband! My Dear son, is Ryan, and my Dear daughter is Ericka.

DH will be about 50 miles North of Sioux Falls Monday. He drives for Quality Liquid Feeds! You were correct CC!! Tonight we are going out for supper with the kids and my parents to celebrate Tim's Birthday. Weekends can just KILL any diet can't they?!

I'll try posting a picture of our current cycles. No guarantees...

I tried. The 3FC forum said I need 25 posts, and only have 11...I'll try again another time I guess.

Happy day to you all.

That was a good guess as I travel daily for my job I see lots of trucks so was taking a wild guess- 50 miles N of Sioux Falls would be really close to Brookings then??? I am about 60 miles South of Sioux Falls

Yes weekends are my killer as well - everyone always wants to go out and all and it is hard to say no when everyone else is like bean poles so I try to watch what I eat when we go but of course it is not always good

Please tell your DH Tim Happy Birthday from all of us

Oh ya I forget about the minimum posts before being able to post pictures we can wait till you will your posts in- shoot you will be there in no time

Hi Tammy hope your weekend is going good

Default Down all week, up on the weekend!

The scale doesn't seem to like me eating bacon and eggs, pizza, and Olive Garden's chocolate lava dessert this weekend. This is where it gets hard...In my mind I'm doing well when I order less than I would normally, I see the scale go up, and figure what the ****! I already blew it...might as well have some Birthday cake...and ice cream too...do it up good. I feel horrible, because I worked hard during the week, just to screw it up on the weekend.

I'm angry with myself. Like the food has power over me. I don't know...
