well, yesterday i planted 9+9+9+3+2 peppers. and we have lots of tomatoes going now. cucumbers i might have to over seed. we also have beans, spinach, okra and herbs going.

i would like the time to focus on my FLOWERS. I have some melon plants to do today and then I think i can finally do some flowers this weekend, but it's going to get hot again..blah!

too big, i like bell peppers, they just always give me indigestion. I still eat them though.

tiger, that is awesome, i remember when I was 178 lbs. good job!

Just a measly 30 pounds. Is that too much to ask?? I would be happy at that weight, I think.

jendiet- I am very jealous of your garden!!!!! We live in town and have a small back yard but I planted cucumbers, okra, squash, tomatoes, peppers, and some herbs in a pot. Just a couple of everything but at least we will have some fresh veggies.

I'm still at 206. Still am spending most of the time resting. Tuesday I went and had to find a dry cleaners and then went to Walmart and did some small grocery shopping. By the time I got home and got back I sure was tired. All of this talk of gardens is making me wistful. I sure wish I could have a garden. But I know nothing about gardens. I also have a lab who is a BIG puppy and if he gets curious enough he will stop at nothing to get to something that has piqued his interest. If anyone has any good ideas of how to keep a dog out of their garden I'd love to hear some since I would sure like some fresh herbs and some small veggies. As of right now my kitchen chairs are very interesting to him and he has chewed them all up to the point of no repair. We're just going to wait out this chewing phase and then when we can replace things or just go without. I caught him at it yesterday finally chewing on one of the chairs and I scared him so badly that he peed the floor and showed him a chewing bone instead so hopefully he won't do it again. My husband starts his new job today so we are a bit nervous. Have a great day everyone! I will be attempting to start walking again today.

bratt- the dog will out grow the chewing. My youngest dog ate a trunk!!! We finally found chews that she likes and I think that helps.

HI TEAM

Well I finally got to 184 after being stuck on 185 for 2 weeks...

Gonna celebrate and have a big plate of cheesy nachos before dinner....

kidding!

Our garden is doing pretty good, we have already eaten 2 heads of lettuce and some cherry tomatoes

BRAT ~ you can grow stuff in pots...Angie and I do, along with a regular garden. My dogs love-LOVE!!!! tomatoes...we put a portable fence around those or else we will not have any! But then they will try to eat them through the fence!

lol. My dog is pretty smart, and knows he would die if he got in our garden. I started young and scolded him LOTS about going near plants. I also supply him lots of chews or something that will keep him busy. He really is a good dog though--he did eat my gazebo yesterday. I PUNISHED him, but i didn't give him something else to chew on. Always redirect if you find him chewing on something he's not allowed to chew.

i agree with the pots idea.

I am up to 209. Blah.. Aunt Flo is here to visit. I made some cookies last night mostly for my husband since they were peanut butter ones and he loves peanut butter and they weren't the best he's had so we just threw them out since they weren't worth the calories to us haha. He started his new job yesterday and I was wanting to try to do something nice for him so hence the new cookie recipe. Oh well...I was proud of ourselves for throwing them out normally we would have still eaten them even if they weren't the best. As for my dog and my garden.. I think I'd probably have to erect a fence of some kind around a garden most likely and keep a strict watch on him every time I let him out since I've caught him climbing on my kitchen chairs to get on to my table to get to something on the table, I've caught him climbing on my couch then onto my bar to get to something that is on my kitchen counter since all of that is connected etc.. He's actually pretty smart in figuring out how to use particular furniture to climb onto and has a one track mind when he wants to see something and to chew on.. lol. But it makes me so super mad when he does it since he's broken several of my kitchen things by knocking them over onto the floor and I've still not replaced them since they were not necessities but they were gifts that I will never get back. Oh well..Have a great day!

Enjoy the party TOOBIG and try to walk away proud! If not...well then just go walk...walk...walk....Have a great day....enjoy time with family.

Well Angie and I had a late dinner at the Mexican joint we love...she taught her Friday "Happy Hour" yoga class until 7pm...

place was busy-busy...the owner kept me happy with Budweiser and chips until my food came....so full from that I brought well over half my Colorado burrito, rice and beans home....a lot of empty calories...

oh well...will take a few of those down in a little while with a 3.5 walk with Angie and the mutts to Starbucks...

Have a great week-end TEAM!
