So today is Day 1 of the Race to 10 on Plan Days!!
I'm looking good so far for the Challenge, I've got plenty of calories left for dinner and I've got more than half of my water in. I've got some exercise scheduled for when I get home. Everyone lets keep on this. Hit your goals today!
Jacque- my answer to your exercise question is... depends. If you've been doing an hour and a half a day, then adding an extra 45 mins daily probably won't be that rough for a week and a half, but if you usually do an hour or less daily that extra exercise may be too much. (Also an extra 45 mins of walking would be easier to add than 45 mins of high intensity exercise). You can try it, but please listen to your body after a day or two and evaluate whether its too much.

I know I haven't been part of this particular challenge (combination of no internet for a month and just being a complete slacker!) but I'd like to do the 10 day challenge if that's ok.
My goals are:
1700 calories.
2L water.
45 minutes x 5 days per week exercise.

Thanks for your response but here goes...
Okay...so I re-evaluated this dilemma...I had the days wrong... I already worked out today and have added that to my total....so...
Including tomorrow AND labor day, that would be 10 days to reach my goal of 4500 minutes...I still have 1285 minutes left to reach that goal....divide that by 10 days, that would average 128 minutes per day....that actually is kind of doable, HOWEVER, I am leaving Sunday till the following Saturday to go to my mother's house to help her (she had both knees replaced and is getting out of rehab) .
Having said that, I know I won't get a chance to workout on Sunday or next Saturday plus I have no idea how much time I will have to go to the gym as I will be at her beck and call the whole time....So I already know I will lose 2 days so now IF, and that's a big IF, I do work out Mon-Fri while there, plus when I get home till Labor day....I would need to average 160 minutes per day...that's 2 hours and 40 min a day.....I can't see that happening...but I won't give up...hopefully I will at least get close....wish me luck!!!
Woohoo, 1 day down! Yesterday was the most perfectly on-plan day I've had in... years, probably, lol! I'm feeling really good and motivated today. Let's DO this ladies!
Happy Friday all!
I'm happy the scale was down today. So far for this challenge I am 7.2lbs down, my original goal was 6lbs so I'm glad. I need lots of willpower for the next two days as my sister and family will be here and I tend to not be careful and count my calories when I'm around family.
Going to Gatlinburg in the middle of September and my goal is to be in the 160s before we go. I'm really excited about it because its our first vacation in all our years of marriage.
Have a great weekend everyone!
My goals are:
1600-1800 calories
64+oz water
exercise 3-5times a week
start strength training (pilates and weights)
Today went very well despite my sister and kids coming over. She had already cooked up some food so I didn't have to make lunch or supper, that was nice, and it was healthy. She did bring a peach pie that she made but I only ate a tiny piece and 1/4 cup of ice cream. Then we went for a 50min walk. So today went great, I hope I see some good movement of the scale tomorrow.
Jacque- I think your plan is superb. Even if you don't get 4500 minutes, 3500 or 4000 is still a lot for an entire month. Celebrate the progress.
Alright, so who else was on plan yesterday?!
Tessa (me) - 1
Mayness -1
I'll keep updating as people post
Yeah I did alot but that one week screwed me up a bit and it took me all this past week to get back on track. I'm actually going to not only do pilates this morning but stop by the gym and do some cardio too. I was doing that for awhile but got too busy so that will get me right back to where I was awhile ago....having said that, I leave tomorrow, and am just praying that I stay on track while away.
So....I have been OP this entire week Still in my maintenance zone!!!
Yesterday was on plan in terms of food, but I didn't exercise - it would have been REALLY hard to find time, we've got friends in town and it was a super busy evening! So I'm going to consider that my "rest day" for the week, but I'm not counting it toward my 10 days anyway.
today, I weighed in at 254.6... so i am not sure if i can make my labor day goal. I'm 3.6 lbs away, and I don't see me losing that in a week. But I still plan to try for some loss this week, and end up strong.
I was on plan for Saturday but not today, not really sure how many calories I ate. It may not be as bad as I'm thinking. I am going to try to get some exercise in tonight and try to get my water in. Now off to send my weigh in to Shari.
So I roughly figured up my calories for yesterday and it wasn't that bad after all. I did get a few minutes on the stationary bike and finished off my water before I went to bed.
I am going to work hard to be on plan today.
