Top of the Tuesday morning to you ladies!

I love, love, love endorphins! Last night, I did an hour of Zumba, followed by an hour of weights, followed by another hour of Zumba!

Okay, okay, before you all come after me with , I'm just kidding about the Zumba and weights. I'm not kidding about the endorphins though. I did an hour long water aerobics class, and I was able to keep correct form with my abs contracted and supporting my spine. We do nearly the entire class in the deep end of the pool using either pool noodles or belts for flotation (no, we don't use water wings). There were a couple moves that my back objected to, so as soon as I felt a twinge, I switched to another move that didn't cause pain. I felt great during the class and also last night and so far today. I am really looking forward to tomorrow night's water aerobics class (unfortunately, it's only two nights a week). But I can find other things to do (maybe the recumbent stepper or use the Wii fit at home) on the off days. In the meantime, it's a great workout that helps me strengthen my back and abs without compressing my spine.

*************

Ceejay - I know what you mean about being tired of rain. It's pouring here today. Of course, we aren't having the severe weather like you and Happy are having (that will probably arrive here in a month or two). Up here, it's still early enough in the Spring that most of us are saying "better rain than snow".

Ellen - Sounds like you had a nice Easter. Good for you on the portion control with the carrot cake. Sorry to hear that DD3 didn't feel well, but I'm glad to hear she's doing better.

Mel - I'm so glad you got your tires! As for the jealous woman in the office, I feel like taking a to her. If she causes you any problems with the big boss and keeps you from getting the money you need from them to maintain your chairs... You work so hard and handle so much on your own. And with all the "miles" you put on your chairs just taking care of the building, the alarms, the repairmen, and the events, you more than deserve to have your chairs maintained at no cost to you.

Lots to get done today, so I'll sign off for now and check back later.

Love and hugs,

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday...the day has started off relatively nice....65 and sunny but is to end in rain...oh well take what we can get...worked last night, tonight, Thursday, Sat and Sun...not excited about it but the money will help out a lot.

Chelle...glad you have to good feeling endorphins going, that helps with staying on track for me, hope it does you too! Yeah for water aerobics, I used to love to go to them, however where I took them, they kept the water a little too warm for my likings...I guess maybe for the seniors Keep on tracking, counting and measuring...Go gettim sister....

MELLIE....hmmm, jealousy is a very ugly thing...and makes for an unkind heart. Why can't people just be happy for others? Well, I for one, am very excited for your new tires! Life would be so much easier. Dixie, the dog, is such a lover puppy, wish Hella B was like that, no way tho.

Ellen...maybe DD had a headache or stomachache from all the Easter excitement. You just never know. A little tylenol sometimes does the trick. My pediatrician always told me if I wanted a night's sleep to give my kids dimetapp...lol...

Ceejay...I am with you...I am sick of rain and all the storms. We are not to get sunny days til Friday now. April showers bring May flowers???? I am counting on it.

Shad...must be lost in the world of work today...hope all is going well for you!

Laura...you know you are more than welcome to shoot on down to my house. It wouldn't be much of a drive and I could stir us up some trouble....just give me about 3 weeks notice so I can ask off at CVS.

Happy...still in la la land over the house...I know I would be...probably can't wait to get moved? How was your Easter?

Everyone is bringing in there leftover desserts...just when I finally decided to get down to business and lose this 15 lbs. I am staying the H out of the break room....one of the girls even made those Paula Dean Cake balls....bake a cake then take a mixer and tear it up in the pan, mix in a can of icing, form into 1" balls, dip in melted dark or white chocolate. As bad as I want one, I am staying away....she made lemon, double fudge, cherry, confetti and carrot. It is the dang carrott cake balls that keep screaming at me.....I will not eat them, I can do this.....yes I can. Going to eat my grapefruit and be done with it.

Well guess I'd better get busy...MI is still here. lovely.

Much love and many hugs...

Annie - Thanks so much for the books. My DMIL was so excited when they arrived! And I can't wait to see the photo of Miss Dixie! The water for the class was not too warm. In fact, most of the women were complaining about how chilly it was. I have so much "insulation" that I am almost never cold, so it was on the slightly cool side of comfortable. I'm definitely measuring, counting and tracking. My PT asked me last week why I haven't weighed myself in 2+ weeks, and I told him that I was tired of seeing 0.5lb or less difference. I'll start weighing myself weekly tomorrow. Now that I'm exercising, hopefully I'll see more improvement. I've never heard of those cake balls, but then again, I haven't studied cake anatomy! They sound truly decadent. Talk about major sugar rush! Sheesh! Step away from the goodies, Miss Annie, and no one gets hurt. Remember the only reason people bring in leftover desserts is to keep the 5 to 10 lbs off their tummy, hips and thighs and put it on YOURS!

Chelle...I will see what other books I can scrounge up, after I read them, Linda, a girl in the office reads them then they just sit around the house, and I don't particularly want to keep them but would rather give them to someone and not to a bookstore. You can google Paula Dean's cake balls, and read up on them...I have NOT even tried one yet, and hoping they ALL dissappear before I go in the break room for lunch. I brought hot and sour soup and Jan brought salad fixings. I just made me a cup of Earl Grey tea and truly enjoying it, as I forgot how much I liked it. Drink hot tea, it helps with digestion, hunger and satisfaction of sweets if you put a bit of sweetner in it. Love ya sista!!

Can I join you and Jan for lunch today? Hot and sour soup along with a salad sounds yummy!! Every now and then, I enjoy a nice cup of hot Earl Grey tea (with a little milk and sweetener). I also like Good Earth Tea (Original blend is loaded with yummy cinnamon and other spices - doesn't even need sugar).

This is what Earl Grey Tea is made from...quite interesting....

Bergamot essential oil information
Our bergamot essential oil is extracted from the tree Citrus aurantium var. bergamia (also known as C. bergamia), of the Rutaceae family and is also known as Bergamot orange.
This fresh smelling essential oil is a favorite in aromatherapy and is great for creating a more relaxed and happy feeling, relieving urinary tract infections, boosting the liver, spleen and stomach, while fighting oily skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, as well as cold sores.
Oil properties
The scent of the oil is basically citrus, yet fruity and sweet, with a warm spicy floral quality and is reminiscent of neroli as well as lavender oil. The color ranges from green to greenish-yellow and the oil has a watery viscosity.
Origin of bergamot oil
This tree is native to South East Asia, but was introduced to Europe, and particularly Italy and is also found in the Ivory Coast, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.
Bergamot oil is made from a tree that can grow up to four meters high, with star-shaped flowers and smooth leaves, bearing citrus fruit resembling a cross between an orange and a grapefruit, but in a pear-shape. The fruit ripens from green to yellow.
The oil is one of the most widely used in the perfumery and toiletry industry and forms, together with neroli and lavender, the main ingredient for the classical 4711 Eau-de-cologne fragrance. It is used to flavor Earl Grey tea.
The name is derived from the city Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy, where the oil was first sold.
Therapeutic properties
The therapeutic properties of bergamot oil include analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibiotic, anti-spasmodic, stomachic, calmative, cicatrisant, deodorant, digestive, febrifuge, vermifuge and vulnerary.
Uses
Bergamot oil can be used in the treatment of depression, stress, tension, fear, hysteria, infection (all types including skin), anorexia, psoriasis, eczema and general convalesces

Morning all. The boss's boss recently noticed the admin and I still had smaller computer monitors and immediately phoned IT. As of yesterday afternoon we both now have these ginormous monitors. Feeling very conspicuous at the moment. I'll have to figure out a new schedule for posting from home.

Have to catch up w/ your posts. I might post from home tonight.

TTFN!

Laura
I love our larger monitor's cause it's easier on the eye's

annie
my sis drinks Earl Gray tea's. Maybe I should invest in some of them.

---------------
More storms last night and more on the way. We were lucky this time. My power was only off for a about three hours.
One of my uncle's was going to Branson this week. All this flooding has some of the roads closed. I hope they decide not to go.
The Rav4 is going back to the shop on Thursday. They called this morning about the part they ordered and told them the engine light is still coming on. I guess you have to make an appointment for that. They are going to do this Thursday also.

Every one have a good day

Laura - I hope you can figure out a way to post discreetly. I really enjoy reading your posts.

Ceejay - Bummer that the Rav 4 has to go back to the shop, but better to get it fixed than to have it break down and leave you stranded on the road. All those storms, power outages and flooding...scary stuff. Please be careful, my friend.

Morning all
and a very to Happy who is 21 today. Well it is today here anyway.

I'm now back at work, my five day weekend is done. I put R back on the plane last night and went home to a quiet house. Well it was quiet after I fed Miss Puss whose throat was apparently feeling cut because she was 2 hours late getting her dinner.
We did a lot of driving, met up with friends, climbed and walked a track, drunk a fair amount of wine, went to markets and examined plenty of real estate. Tonight I am on my own and then tomorrow DS2 comes home so we will be back to normal. Easter and Anzac day will probably not come together like that again in my lifetime.

Michelle - so happy to hear that you are enjoying the water aerobics and being sensible about twinges and pain etc. And that the endorphins are making a re-appearance - good stuff.

Annie - lots of spilt milk in that lot - it's worse than inflation because it spreads so far. Hows the DD coping with the morning sickness?

Ceejay - my new car is just wishful thinking at this time as well. I'm working on it. Just have to sort out the finance and then start looking. Might do that this week if I can.

Ellen - my kids always seemed to come down with something at Easter, but a couple of days of sensible eating sort of fixed that.

Laura - Using frequent flyer miles can be a pain. I always seem to have just too much or just too little. There is enough there at the moment to get me to Paris and back, but unfortunately I can't take the time, and no doubt if I did, one of the kids would be wanted to go back to NZ or something. I intend to use up all my points before I have to stop travelling due to failing health or whatever.

Happy - hope you get a nice new 'puter soon and that it puts an end to the computer woes. I now have 3 old desktops sitting waiting for R to come and take the drive with the information out of them so I can get rid of them. No one wants them, but I am not prepared to let them go to the dump with all the information still in them. I'm not that nuts.

Mel - yea for new tyres. Don't let the office get you down. Just go on down there and do donuts over the office floor and FLAUNT IT BABY!

Guess I had better buzz off and do something for mankind - I will be late in tomorrow or may even work from home. Guess tomorrow will sort itself out. Live for today instead hey?

Hi everyone. Thank you for the birthday wishes. We have had several successive days of bad, bad storms. Have been concerned about power surges and work has been last minute busy so haven't had time to catch up there either. I am very very tired as we have gotten weather all through the night and the thunder and tornado sirens have completely disrupted my sleep. It's storming again and supposed to last all through tomorrow.

Will try to catch up and post tomorrow - I am off to bed now. Hoping for a decent night's sleep. Night all.
