I'm at work on this windy day. The ac keeps freezing up so it comes on and goes off at 70 degree's. The fan does the same thing. I was miserable this morning when I first came in to work. It was stuffy and humid in here. I have one of the doors open so that helps.

Nothing exciting going on. except there were cop cars all over the place last night. One out side the gate. Beginning to think i was going to be carried off to jail. he he. They must have been looking for some one.

Morning all.

Ceejay - Hope you get comfortable. Funny how we're really chilly up here (freezing according to my co-worker) and you're uncomfortable in the heat & humidity by you.

Mel - Sorry you're still trying to get around with low batteries and waiting on new ones. What a hassle! Bless your heart for helping all those seniors! When I think about how more and more is done via the internet, I wonder how those 97-year olds deal with it. Prolly have to go through hoops to be able to use paper forms these days. News Flash: My mother is finally considering internet! She hasn't turned on the computer since my dad passed away in '06. When we were there for the funeral, all the guys did a cleanup of the computer since it had viruses, spam, etc., so aside from a whole lot of updates, it should be good to go.

Not sure what my next sewing project will be. Actually, I keep thinking I need to make a couple more grocery bag holders because I always need one somewhere I don't have one - like in the basement, or the other end of the house. And I thought I might just use the legs from a discarded pair of jeans for this - part of the sewing is already done for me, LOL.

Annie - Sounds like you had a nice restful date, LOL. The Menard's part of the date must have worn you out, haha. You did all that stuff after work yesterday and before 7:30 pm??!! I'm imagining you looking like a video on fast forward, LOL. What time do you get home from work??

Happy - Wow, what a beautiful home!! Now what is it again I have to do to pass muster w/ your dh as an approved visitor?? Sweets? I don't know how you focus on anything these days - all I'd be thinking about is my new life in that gorgeous house and setting. Speaking of gorgeous - love the azalea pics - thanks for posting. Glad the bathtub install went well - what a relief to both of you, I'm sure! Enjoy the b-day lunch today.

Michelle - Good for you with the exercise last night! I know how it feels when a class starts too late - I worry I'll plop down at home and not want to go when the time comes. Best I change into workout gear as soon as I get home, and that I have just enough time to do that, gather my towel & water and GO! Nice you got to talk w/ the water aerobics instructor - do you think you'll give a go at the class?

Shad -

Ellen - So have you begun the clothing purge? What a job! I should be thankful I only have to worry about one person's clothes - my own - and just DO IT! The other day at Walmart I impulsively bought a clearance top and wore it the next day and decided I hated it and felt awful wearing it. It's now in the laundry basket, but its next stop is the hall closet where I keep the stuff to be donated. And that spot's getting full - time to list it all for tax purposes, bag it and drop it off at Goodwill or Salv. Army.

Last night was the step class. At one point pretty early on, my foot got hung up on the step as I was stepping up, and I didn't fall or anything but my "problem" hamstring immediately complained! It's a bit sore today - need to keep stretching it. Otherwise, good class. Always glad I've gone.

Movie tonight is called Win-Win. I picked it because it got a decent review, but I only checked the # of stars - didn't read the review. So I know nothing of what it's about, just that Paul Giamatti is in it, and I like him, so let's hope. It's at the theater that's a farther drive, and it doesn't start til 8:05...late night for Laura.

Okay, gotta run - a meeting to prep for. Or should I say, a meeting for which I must prepare.

Two cups of coffee and I'm still tired. Maybe it's because it's so cold, dreary and SNOWY outside. Ugh! C'mon Mom Nature...enough already!

Happy - You're right about the kids at the pool...some of them are okay and polite, but the other ruffians are a real PITA. The lifeguard on duty was at least trying to keep them under control and not too obnoxious. Oh well, hopefully I can work my back up to where I can do lap swim. Lap swim is much more controlled, and less crazy kids. In the meantime, there won't be any brats in the water aerobics class, which will be nice. The Y that I go to is expanding and building a mini indoor water park at the facility, which will have a splash area, two water slides, and a lazy river. Hopefully that will mean that the kids start using that. I really like the lazy river...I find those relaxing if they aren't too crowded/noisy.

Annie - I still haven't heard about Mischief yet. Hopefully we'll hear today. I'm doing really good at calorie counting/measuring/weighing and portion control. And now that I'm burning at least a few calories every now and then, I feel a little more optimistic that I might get this weight off (and my back better) eventually. Sending you the little bit of spare energy that I have so you can get through your two jobs today.

Mel - So nice of you to help out the seniors! Have you gotten your new tires yet? Do your chairs charge up like the scooter carts? Or are they just not holding a charge because the batteries are old? I wish they sold your chair batteries at Kohl's so I could get a discount on them.

Ceejay - Scary about all the cop cars...but if there was some bad guy out there, I'm glad the cops were there too. Bummer that you're so uncomfortable with the faulty a/c at work. Could ya' please send some of the heat (and even the humidity) up here? I know I shouldn't ask for the humidity ...we'll get it soon enough.

Laura - for your mom for considering the internet! My step-mom often feels intimidated by the computer, but she does use it. I will give the water aerobics class a try either tomorrow night or Monday night, not sure which. What happened to your foot during step class has happened to me a few times before. Yeouch!! Keep stretching that hamstring! I have to do that too, with both my hamstrings...as between the tight hamstrings and tight hip flexors, they keep on trying to pull my low back out of place. I hope the meeting goes well and that you enjoy the movie!

After work today, I'm going to take DMIL to the library and also clear some of our clothes out of her closet so she has more room, and do my PT exercises of course.

Annie - we have storms headed this way but later tonight. I hope we don't have barn burners like you did Had a big laugh in my cubicle about everyone hoping the power would go out and you get sprung from jail. No such luck here - we have a generator in the building so we just sit in the dark and bask in the glow of our computer monitors

Morning all,
Going to be short and sweet again I fear since when I opened up the mail this morning, I have another lot of work stuck on my plate. I sort of expected it so I am not going to go into a panic anytime soon. What happens, happens.
Looking forward to my long weekend with R from Melbourne. We will have a good time together and do some things and relax sometimes and catch up with family and old friends

Meantime I better go and calm down the MM consultant who I have already upset this morning. Gotta wonder why some people go in for project life. I have a bet on with another consultant that he is wrong and I am right. More chocolate. I have a box of chocolate fish on my desk. Those who need a fix pay $1 and take a fish. They have proved very popular. But if it gives the folks a bit of a breather, and time out to check on the day and the roses and chew the chocolate then that's okay by me. Anything to keep them from annoying me!
And on my desk this morning is a Project Survival Kit bag with all sorts of goodies inside. Lots of easter eggs by the look of it - darn it all.

Annie
As Happy mentioned earlier we're supposed to get some strong storms over night. Hope no one was hurt during those lightning strikes. Wish I could pack up and go home when there's a power outage. sigh.

Michelle
I'll send warming thoughts your way.

Laura
Good for your mom to get back on the internet. It will help her pass some time.

I'm hoping that the storms don 't get here until I get home tonight.

Ouch Annie - off your lips and into my head Not sure if I should cheer for you to close the store and get time off or if it's worth losing the pay for the night. I guess either way you get something out of it. Be careful.

You too Ceejay - it's pretty lousy in the Oklahoma / Texas area according to my coworker. Hope you won't be working late and driving home in it tonight.

I'm outta here while the sun is still shining...

I HAD AN EXCITING & ANNOYING NITE. FIRST THE BURGLAR ALARM WENT OFF FOR THE LAUNDRY ROOM AND THEN THE FIRE ALARM CALLED THE FIRE DEPT AND SAID THERE WAS A FIRE OF "INDETERMINATE CAUSE" IN 2 ZONES.
THEY ARRIVED AT 5:02 AND JUST LEFT. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED BUT THERE WAS NO FIRE ANYWHERE. THE ONLY THING THAT SMELLED LIKE SMOKE WAS THE 2 DOZEN FIREMEN
THEY AGAIN ASKED ME FOR INFO I STILL DON'T HAVE AND TOLD ME TO "GET IT"........"OR THEY WILL".
SO THAT'S THE AGENDA FOR TODAY. ASK FOR THE INFO LIKE I HAVE A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE.
NOTHING ELSE NEW HERE. REALLY DONE WITH TRYING TO CONSERVE BATTERY POWER. BORED TO TEARS. THANK GOD FOR THE NEW PC. IT'S KEEPING WHAT LITTLE SANITY I HAVE INTACT I JUST CANNOT GET OVER HOW FAST THINGS CAN LOAD AND HOW QUICKLY I GET DONE DOING SOMETHING. IT'S LIKE A MIRACLE. LAURA....BLESS YOUR MOM'S HEART!! GOING INTO THE COMPUTER AGE!! HOPE SHE ENJOYS IT AS MUCH AS I DO. DON'T TEACH HER HOW TO ORDER STUFF ONLINE THOUGH WE USED JEANS FOR A POCKETBOOK AND THE LEGS GOT TOSSED OUT. FUNNY THAT YOU ARE FINDING A USE FOR THEM!! LOL CRACKED ME UP. HOW WAS THE MOVIE?? LATE NIGHT INDEED HOPE THE HAMSTRING FEELS LESS SORE TODAY

MICHELLE.....I HAVE GOOD BATTERIES BUT O0NE OF THE CHAIRS IS A BIGT DANGEROUS FOR ME TO USE. GETTING IN AND OUT OF IT IS VERY DIFFICULT NOW AS I GOT WEAKER. SO I AM LEFT WITH ONE CHAIR THAT'S SAFE(SO TO SPEAK) WITH THE 3RD CHAIR HAVING FLATS...I CAN'T USE IT TILL THE TIRES COME. HOPE THAT MADE SENSE!! LOL BEEN WATCHING THE WEATHER CHANNEL AND CANNOT GET OVER HOW MUCH SNOW HAS FALLEN THIS WEEK. OMEWHERE GOT A FOOT!!! BUT I MISSED WHICH STATE IT WAS. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

ANNIE.....SO HOW DID THE STORM GO??? ANY POWER OUTAGES??? I WAS HOPING THAT WOULD LET YOU GO HOME SO YOU COULD REST UP!!!

A LITTLE EDDIE MONEY FOR ANNIE..................
I feel a hunger

It's a hunger that tries to keep a man awake at night.
Are you the answer?
I shouldn't wonder when I feel you whet my appetite

With all the power you're releasing

It isn't safe to walk the city streets a
Anticipation is running through me

Let's find the key and turn this engine on.

I can feel you breathe
I can feel your heartbeat faster.
Take me home tonight!
I don't want to let you go till you see the light!
Take me home tonight!
Listen honey
iust like Ronnie sang: Be my little baby!

I get frightened in all this darkness

I get nightmares
I hate to sleep alone
I need some company

A guardian angel to keep me warm when the cold winds blow!

I can feel you breathe
I can feel your heartbeat faster. . . .
Be my little baby!

Just like Ronnie sang
I say
just like Ronnie sang:
Be my little baby
baby
my darling!
I feel a hunger
it's a hunger!

Take me home tonight!...
Take me home tonight!...
Take me home tonight!...

Good morning ladies,

Sleepy one for me. I tried to go to bed early just as some nasty storms hit the area. Driving winds and rain, heavy thunder and lightning and tornado sirens blaring did not make for a restful night. I am very tired this morning.

Mel - sounds like you had a very exciting morning. Never a dull moment at your place Ain't a new computer great before it gets all gunked up?

Ceejay - I hope you are ok, alot of the bad stuff was in your area around 10 last night.

Shad - a dollar for a fish??? I hope they are big But it does provide a needed break.

Annie - hope the storms didn't do you in

Michelle - I saw all the snow you got. Ugh - it's time for spring and better weather.

Laura - how was the movie? Hope your leg feels better.

Ellen

Sorry to make this short - it's trash day and I need to get the bag ready for DH to take out. Also I am tired and thinking as slow as Mel's old computer.

Later chicks.

Good Morning All...just a few flying monkies and an ole bitty on a bicycle with a dog in the basket....actually it was a horrible storm, sirens went off, said to head someplace safe like a basement...don't have one...open floor plan...so I went to bed instead...I figured if a tornado took me away, at least I would be asleep and enjoy the ride. lol....You know me...if it happens to be my time, no matter what I am doing, I will go peacefully. A couple of semi's did get blown completely off of the highway, now that is fearce winds. 35000 people still without power this morning. BUT NOT US!

No power outages at either work...so I had to put my time in...and those crazy customers at CVS, stay home folks it is storming out there. I think some of them just NEED their CVS fix or something. And they buy the stupidest things, like that was an emergency to get out in a storm to buy..NOT...candy bars, booze, cigs, hair color, I mean REALLY?? Ok. off of rant.

Happy and MELLIE...thanks for reminding me of the song that took so long to get out of my head...now it is in my head again...hahahahaha Just goes to show, not much up there in my head, have to fill it with songs...lol

Shaddie...how dare they even believe you are not correct on anything, obviously they do not know who they are working with, oh well like you said, more chocolate for you...at least this job has actual work for you to do and keeps your mind alert...

Ceejay...how did you do with your storms last night....you ok?

Chelle...glad you are on track with the counting/measuring/portion control. What kind of books does DMIL read? I may have a few I could ship you...don't need them back either. Keep us posted on Mischief.

Laura...I got home from work at 5 pm that day as I left a few minutes early. I normally get off at 4:30, but left at 4pm. Unless I go somewhere besides being at home, I cannot just sit around and do nothing....I have to keep moving...even when I am tired. I get that from my grandma on my momma's side.

Ellen...how's your world? Kiddie's all ok? Job ok? Taking time for you? Counting? Measuring? Portion Control? Just checking..

MELLIE...and smokin' firemen...all I can say to the is YUM!!!

Gotta get busy, work, who ever thought of it should be shot....just send money.

Love and hugs.

Just a note to let ya'll know I'm okay. We had a tornado last night that did some major damage. Power will not be back on till some time tonight. Thank goodness that I have latterns. The guy's have been working non stop since the storm around 11.30 p.m.

Have a good day. At least the light office has come and and are answering most of the phone calls. I'm trying to catch up the water tanks.

According to the news, Paragould had some damage too. Took the roof off of the high school building at one of the high schools.
