Whoo! Congrats Phyliss and to everyone else who lost this week
Bobbi--Good for you for putting in more time at the fitness center. Working out and improving my fitness level has actually been more important to me than losing weight. If I can run five miles without dying I will be beyond happy. Looking hot in a skirt would just be the extra bonus! I'm possibly up half a pound or I'm the same. I don't have a digital scale so it's hard to figure out exactly where I am. I only worked out three days this week, but since I am in the midst of finals plus I have 12 extra class hours this week, I'm glad i worked out at all! My food has been perfectly reasonable this week, except for one day that was a little out of control. All in all I'm happy with it.
Hi y'all! Just checking in, since I hadn't been by in a couple of days. I had a bad day yesterday, but today I was all good and back on track. I'm major bloated right now so I am staying away from the scale for a couple of days, tho.
I missed talking to ya all yesterday, I posted on Calories Counters than my cp internet when haywire. I'm half way home on the Valentine's challenge and 37 days to go. (5.2 weeks) I need to lose about a pound a week, how about anyone else. Have you figured out what you need to lose to meet your goal? Monday's calories....1,111, fat 2 22%. Phyliss...I love dogs, can you post a picture of your Doberman? How long do you and doggie walk, good motivation for you. Melissa...Good luck on Friday's WI, we'll be watching for your results. SmartButt... Can I be your best friend and share your million bucks from the Discovery Health challenge? Robsia...Congrats on the 5 pound loss, you're really trying! Stopeating...We're close in weight, I've got 1/2 pound to go before I hit the 140's. Lets do this together, 1st one to hit the 140's is not the rotten egg! 4Me... I love to hear about couples going into life style changes together. I've heard horror stories about one of the spouses eating healthy and the other spouse giving no support, even sabotaging her. My DH doesn't need to lose weight, but he supports me and eats whatever I do. Congrats to you both and we're glad you joined the Valentine's challenge. ennay...I agree about getting your work-outs in early. I applaud you too, it's not easy with an infant and nursing. Paula...Hi neighbor, you and your angel been walking the skyways? I'm glad to see you back down in weight. Do you ever wear a pedometer? Too bad Fitday doesn't have a catagory for walkers that reach 10,000 steps a day. (Or do they?) 2Frustrated and Tami...Hang in there girls, you've still got 5 weeks + to lose. Electon...Only 5 more pounds to reach 2-14 goal. Me too! We have to average 1 pound a week, can you do it? You all know how I hate to exercise, but Blue Cross/Blue Shield is covering most of the fee for us, the one hitch is we both have to go 20 times a month to the Fitness Center. That's 4 days a week and we have to drive into town to reach it. (We're country folks) I hate the driving part too, what a crab I am. Well, I better check in with the Biggest Losers challenge and the Calories Counters..............Later, Bobbi
Well, I'm still trying to figure out the whole exercise thing. It gets a whole lot easier starting Feb. 1 when my mom will be keeping my baby. DH will be taking baby to mom's in the AM so I can get up and leave the house as early as I want to work out.
In the mean time I'm going to work out at home in the evenings using my exercise ball and dumb bells. I've found some good work outs on line.
Good news is, the scales FINALLY budged this morning. I started low-cal on 1/2 and this morning I was down 2lbs! Yea!! Only 8 to go until Valentine's. I think I can do it. Just going to have to get this flabby butt moving!!!
Good news - I am down to 156, which means I am down 4 in the Valentine's Day challenge! My exercise yesterday was chasing Fiona all night (midnight-7am) because she's on her own schedule right now and there's not much I can do about it.
I've moved back to school and I'm worried. We don't have a scale in my room nor do any of my friends! I really don't want to buy one, but I'm going to have to figure *something* out.At the very least so I can report back on the challenge I have 5 pounds left to lose, which might not seem like a lot, but I'm worried. Really worried, in fact. I usually plan on .5 pounds loss a week, so I would have to double up my efforts. A friend of mine had an emotional crisis last night which meant I was up until 6:00 am this morning, and I still have 30 or so pages to write before Friday. And then more studying. And then I have the LSAT's. Grrr. Sorry for complaining to y'all, but I'm writing about my stresses rather than eating them
And good work, everyone. I really enjoy reading about all the success you all have. People have made big jumps this week! Big congrats to Paula and 4me4Ben! Wahoo!!
Electron is there anywhere on campus you could go to weigh like a work out center or something?? I'm so proud of you for writing about your stresses instead of eating them. I'm such an emotional eater. I totally know how that goes.
Paula I totally know what you mean about Fiona being on her own schedule. I've just finally gotten my baby, almost 3 months old, into a routine where he will sleep more than 4 hours at a time. However, the time between his 4:30 feeding and my 6:00 wake up time is coming in very handy for workouts. Unfortunately, it makes me very grumpy at work and I'm quite sure my students don't appreciate it.
You gals are all doing a great job. I think we should all reward oursevles with cute lingerie if we reach our goals. Even if you don't have a dh or significant other to wear it for, it's always motivating to feel pretty!
Bobbi, I can't seem to post a photo of my Doberman. He is 12 yrs. old but looks like and acts like he is 2 yrs. old. He is black & tan and his ears are not cropped.
I'll keep trying to post one.
Was up 1.5 lbs from yesterday!!!!! We ate out last night so I guess it was sodium in the food, I kept at about 1500 cal. for the day so hopefully I'll be back down tomorrow.....drinking lots of water today.
35 Days and counting Let's see what we're all made of, determination, stamina and full speed ahead In my case stubbornness! My DH always says I'm like a bulldog with a bone who won't let go of it. Webweevil... Good job, down 6 lbs. Paula... congrats on 156 weigh in. : Electron... I second the advice from 4me. Do you have supportive room mates? I've read so many times about girls leaving home for college and gaining lots of weight. I hope you have roomies that watch their weight too! Diva... I can't wait to be 138, way to go! Rusty... I put a picture of "Charlie" up in the pet thread but I can't remember how to do it either. I'll have to work on it and let you know. P.S. Maybe you need to detox for a day to rid your body of salt. Tami... 3 lbs. down and ennay only 4 to go, hang in there! Smart Butt, I'll cut the other one off if the scale doesn't cooperate pretty soon! My calories for Wednesday were 1,190 and fat 24%. Wishing you all good food choices today, Bobbi
