Good morning
Finally...NOW I can say the holidays are truly over, because my Christmas gift to my butt has been returned! I'm back down under 159, which is where my BMI turns from Overweight to Normal and I'm back on track with my eating & exercise...and the spouse is back to work on his schedule & my tween angel is back to school on Monday...*BIG sigh* I feel like I have my life back in order!!!
One thing I'm learning is that taking my calorie count below 1400 is making me feel like warmed-over death. There's just no way I can function as a mom & wife and exercise when I feel light-headed & sick...so I am going to strive for about 1400 cal/day average.

Bobbi -- Yes, luckily - there will be a percentage factor in the NY/NY challenge because you're right...someone in the 150s isn't going to post the results of someone in the 200s or more. When I started losing weight in April & May, I was dropping 7 lbs a week with little or no exercise...but I had SOOOO much weight to drop then
I'm still on track for a 10 lb drop by Valentine's Day...Of course more would be better but I'm sure on Feb 14, I'll be more than happy to see 150 on my scale!

Awesome Paula!

Tomorrow is my "official" weekly weigh-in, but I peeked and I'm at exactly the same weight I was at my last official weigh-in. Although that doesn't thrill me, I have to be happy the scale didn't move the other way, considering my past 2 days of giving in to my fast-food cravings and junk food.

My average intake the last 2 days was 2000 calories. Although I still have a deficit of calories over all, that doesn't bring my weekly deficit to 3500 to lose that 1 pound. I couldn't have expected to lose, so I'll live with it.

We're going to spend some quality time at the gym today and think of a good choice for our Saturday-evening restaurant tradition. It's amazing how few restaurants out there have anything healthy but a salad on the menu.

Good Morning to the few people left!
I've been at 151 for 4 days now. It's my 1st official stall, drats! At least I've lost since joining the Biggest Losers.
Yesterday's calories...1,130
Fat...19%
SmartButt...How did weigh in go for you this morning? :
OnePerDecade...Merry Christmas to your butt:
Glad to see you dropped back down into the 50's. It will give your ego a boost and renew your energy. I have to lose an average of 1.2 lbs. a week for the next 5 weeks to make the Valentine's goal. I'm stepping up my minutes spent at the Fitness center, hope that will helps. I usually don't exercise on Sundays but I'm going to today to see if it will get me off the "Stall Mode".
See Ya Girls......Bobbi

I'm still here, my WI is on Mondays....I've said it before but today I REALLY am starting my walking dvd. I walk my Doberman each evening but he has to stop and smell everything and hike his leg, I guess that is better than no walking. But I need to get dedicated to getting up to 2 miles in 30 min. and I actually like doing my dvd.

Good going everyone.....staying the same is better than gaining!!!!

As I expected, I am exactly what I was last Sunday - 185.5. If just a half pound would go away, I could add 1 pound to my valentine's day loss, dangit!!!

I don't feel so great today, but I'm going to try to pull it together and get to the gym with my fiance today to get a good workout in. We've got some great healthy food lined up for this week, and once again I'll be trying my hardest to NOT stray from the menu.

I'm still here - down 4 lbs from my starting point so that's a big chunk gone off my V-day goal.

Congrats to all the losers and 'hang in there' to all the plateau-ers

Hello! I am down 1 pound now for my Valentine goal. One more pound and I will be in the 140's again! I'm doing well on exercise (need to change my ticker) and have everything on track for now. I joined a lot of challenges and that really motivated me!

I know it's a little late but I'm going to join the valentine's day challenge. I want to loose 10lbs by Valentine's day. Hubby and I have started a healthy eating regimen that began on the 3rd. Tonight is baked fish and baked seasoned potato wedges.

Any suggestions for how to get some exercise in for a working woman with a 2 month old and 2 nights a week of Grad school which means 5 nights a week of homework????

I'm not sure if I can post a link or not, but I've heard of "mommy" exercises that involve your child, so you get to spend some fun time with the baby while getting some exercise at the same time.

Here's an example: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art9571.asp

I know it sounds horrid to imagine, but I get up early and workout before work. I have it timed out that I always have an emergency pumped bottle of milk in the fridge. but generally any time baby wakes up for a feeding after about 4:30 am, as soon as he is done I go workout so I am back before dh has to leave. Or workout at lunchtime at work.

I just signed up for the Discovery Health Body Challenge. I don't know much about it, but the whole "every day you post your weight or an exercise in your journal, you are registered to win 1 million dollars" part caught my eye.

I've got 3FC, I've got FitDay, and now Discovery health! Thank god for the internet!

Anyone else signed up?

Million bucks? I'm heading over there now...thanks!!!

FINALLY...the last re-gained pound is gone...I am back to 157, which represents a 70 lb drop since April. Now, I'm headed for 152 - I like "milestone" numbers like 75
Today's calories in - about 1600, calories out - no idea since I have been running errands & doing family stuff for the past 13 hours, but I am sure I've burned more than 1600 today just by breathing!

Well I'm down to 175, so that's er... 11lbs to go It might happen although I'm a bit wary about the birthday scoffing that happened yesterday! I had cake, and chocolates and chinese, fortunately the cake I had for breakfast didn't agree with me too well, so I had a very light lunch - I suppose that's damage limitation!

Ennay and Smart Butt thanks for the advice! I'm going to definitely look into the mommy exercises. And Ennay I think you're right. I'm going to have to get up early to work out. He usually wakes up between 4:30 and 5am for a feeding so I guess I'll just stay up and work out. I am proud to say that I got my exercise ball out last night and I put my laptop on the coffee table so now I sit on my exercise ball when I'm at the computer. Bound to be working some core muscles right??? Well, thanks again ladies.
