Ahhh.. i think I understand now. Well for starters, I would probably spend a lot of it on very healthy and expensive foods like ahi tuna, lobster, crab, exotic mushrooms, etc. -- pretty much what celebrities eat when they are "dieting". Perhaps some of it would also go towards a gym membership or a personal trainer even! Maybe some of it would go towards a new excericise machine but mainly I'd spend it on fabulous, healthy/low-cal foods that are pretty expensive.

Is this what you mean?

I'd get a gym membership, some new workout clothes and new shoes (we ALWAYS need new shoes!!!) and I'd hire a personal trainer to make sure I used all of the above.

PERSONAL TRAINER. No question. I'd get myself outfitted with all kinds of fabulous workout clothes/shoes, buy a new mp3 player and some songs to load on it, and spend all the rest on a gym membership and someone to teach me to use the gym properly.

Actually, my grandpa gave me a thousand dollars for christmas and this is precisely what I did. New shoes, new gym clothes, and a couple more months with the trainer.

I have all the clothes/shoes/ipods/heart monitors/step counters I need, so yeah, I'd pay a personal trainer.

And from what I understand 1k would last me about 2 months for personal training. Woo.

I'd do once a week. This is the schedule I'm on with my trainer and it has been really helpful. We alternate - one week we'll do upper body, the next lower body. Then I go to the gym without the trainer another time a week to do the workout he gave me for the area we don't train that week.

So for example - this week I am doing upper body with the trainer on Wednesday, so I'll do my lower body routine that he gave me last week independently on Friday. Then next week I have LB with my trainer on Wednesday, and I'll go in and do the UB routine he gave me this week independently on Friday.

This way you can stretch out the money/sessions a bit longer. Where I live, you can get 10 hour-long sessions for $400, so you could get 20 sessions total for $800, leaving you $200 for gym wear or membership fees. This would get you 4.5 months or so of personal training every week.

I'd go see a personal trainer a few times too. New running shoes. A fabulous assortment of lean proteins and a new freezer to keep them in.

Hmmm....I would take a trip to California, and get certified with Suhaila Salimpour-one of the best belly dance instructors and performers in the world.
