Good morning everyone!
Sorry to say that my weight asn't changed one iota in the past week I have 40 days till I leave on my trip and I REALLY want to lose the last 6 (or more) by then. I just don't get in, I guess I have to change up my meal plan( meal plan is eating less) a little and see if that will help.Maybe adding more protein and less perogies will help! LOL!

Good morning ladies!!!!

So, I will be back later to do the personals and to provide encouragement and support but for now...its all about ME!!!!

This is me this morning:

Why???? Because of this :

That's right, the scale finally moved and as of today, I have achieved my first real mini-goal...drum roll pls....20 pounds!

4 months and 20 pounds. I am so totally psyched !!!

I promised myself that I would not do measurements until I had hit 20 pounds gone, which puts me at a weight I have not seen since the 1990's (with the exception of a short stint on Adkins in 2001). This is actually less than what I weighed when I got pregnant with DD#2, who is now 11!!!!

So, in addition to the 20 pounds, I have also gotten rid of (not lost because I refuse to look or find them!): 20.75 inches!

So, since clearly this works (THANKS Hattie!!!), I am throwing this at Christie today so she will get the last little bit done on her Valentine's challenge.

I couldn't have done it without the support of my Thanksgiving...turned Christmas Chics...turned Valentine's Challenge buddies.

urockmom!!!!! You go girl!!!!!! I just could not be prouder!!!! This is what it is all about! The feel of victory and having each other to share it with Thanks for the snowball too sis I got the point and I am trying hard to hit that last few pounds, I will weigh in first thing in the morning and I am sure it will be fine

Lets all hear it for urockmom!!!!!!

And to all you other ladies...keep working at this, dont get discouraged and come here as often as you can, it makes a world of difference and I am ready to hear about all of your success

Good afternoon everyone,

Everyone is doing so good! I braved the cold here in Canada and went to the gym:

20 min on the eliptical trainer
20 vigorous min on the treadmill

Hopefully I dont have to leave the house again today...-34 here overnight...brrrrrrrrr. Good luck everyone and keep up the great work!

Neast…I have had MANY points of “OMG, I look like that?” But this last one, I was on myspace and was tagged in a bunch of photos from NYE……I couldn’t believe it. I know that my clothes weren’t fitting the same and I was starting to get uncomfortable again (you know that feeling when NOTHING you put on feels good, your jeans leave that ring around your stomach, and you don’t want to do anything) I knew that I had gained some weight from the last 6 months, but WOW! I guess everything looks different in the mirror; pictures just let it all hang out.

So since my boyfriend and I are doing this together, we went ahead and said screw it, and look pictures. Yup, sports bra and panties front, side, and back. It hurt to actually look at them but that way I know EXACTLY where I’m starting in this journey…..I will call them my “good bye” pictures. Im thinking about blowing the front one up life size and putting it in my room.

jello…congrats!

Ms Perception…drinking LOTS of water is SO important, I have a ton of trouble with that my self, I guess I just forget to drink? Good luck with WW!

buns…keep up the good work! I was once asked when I was due…talk about a slap in the face. But I am a very blunt person, so I turned to the guy and said “I’m sorry, I’m not pregnant, I’m just fat, thank you for noticing.” I was more pissed then hurt.

FSA…hi girlie! Sorry about your tummy….good job for working out through it.

Lekhika…Im just trying really hard to gain self control. I won’t always be 100 percent but I can get really close! For instance last night, when the girls ate burgers, nachos, and pretzels….this girl had grilled chicken and rice! GO ME!

I LOVE the biggest loser! It is seriously one of my favorite shows. I cried too when Jerry was booted….but at the same time, I think it was the best decision. He looked great now. If a 70 year old man 100lbs over weight and even passed out during the first work out can lose 80 lbs…………THEN I HAVE NO excuses.

Went to the gym at 330 this morning and did a light work out! I ran for 10 mins!!!! I know that doesn’t sound great….but I don’t run…AT ALL. So I’m proud of myself. Did the rest at 4.0 on a 5.5 incline. Hopefully I can get in a workout before work today.

You are all doing great! When you are working out, visualize yourself toning, tightening, imagine each muscle taking shape with each rep. Focus…we can do it!

Dh and I had a horribly unhealthy week. I was having my week of the month where I hate the world and love ice cream and all things unhealthy. Dh went down my road of destruction with me. I told him we needed to weigh-in this AM and he got a scared look on his face and said he wasn't going to because the number would be so bad. I told him regardless of gains we need to post and be accountable and he needed to "man-up"
We discussed the fact that we only have 4 weeks left and lots of pounds to lose and he said pitch the ice cream I feel hopeful that we can still make it, if we buckle down.

Lene- You guys didnt gain a bunch....girl if I had ate alot of stuff I would have gained 5 pounds I am sure since you pitched the temptation you will both do great And I love the whole man up concept

WEll here are my stats for the week, I did give in to some chips yesterday afternoon, but ended up on the wii fit a total of 2 hours and 5 minutes and I guess it was too little too late, I will say I have been exercising way more the last few days and I will continute to push myself and hopefully the scale will be nicer next week....

Do not fear the elliptical. Do not fear the gym. You are on a mission and they are equipment that you bring to battle. Tools to be used by you.. for you.. you get out there and

mholston~Ahhhh. Pictures? Raw pictures? I am afraid. You are brave.

Lene~Oh, those terrible, awful weeks. You were right to the DH and were very strong to stop the ice cream train in its tracks. You both have 4 weeks and you will do it!!

FSA~Sorry you are feeling poorly! Good for you to get your exercise in anyway. Personally, I find that it helps with TOM. I hope you are better tomorrow!

Christian~Awesome job on the exercise! I am sure that the scale will respond next week. After all, you have the snowball!

Thumbs up Update

I am so happy that everyone is doing so well. We are going to do this!

Well, I've got my workout in for the day seeing as how our ladies gym closes at noon on Saturdays I didnt have much choice but I do enjoy getting it done early. I did the usual: 20 min on the eliptical trainer
20 min on the treadmill( walk/jog)
2 rounds on the circuit which takes about 30 min
