Well, more snow has arrived which means more shoveling...my new workout routine!

Christie-Prayers and best wishes for your power to return. I can't even begin to imagine your situation other than picturing camping, basically...and I know it's proabably not even that good for you. I'm sure it's discouraging, but we're here for ya. Don't lose heart!
FullSteam-2 sessions on the treadmill? You are really kicking it in gear. Glad to hear you're feeling well!!
urock-Glad to hear an update. The standstills are killers. I have been OP with food, I know darn well it's my activity that needs to change. I am active, but have recently done little formal exercise until today!! Keep up the good work so you can strut your stuff in those summer clothes on vaca!

Family....

Today is so busy here at work.....I will be going down to the gym to work out because I need to ......I went to school last night didnt get home until like 9:30PM. I am studying for my GED because I did not complete high school.. it was so weird going into a class room and sitting with a bunch of strangers. I cant wait to pass and get my certificate. I took a pre-test for language arts and reading comprehension. Well honestly I did not do too bad. I got 60 percent. The teacher said that we most time forget what we have learned 15 to 20 years ago....there were different categories

NON FICTION - I tanked got 17% This is the only area for this subject that I need to brush up on.
Fiction - 100%
Poem - 75%
Drama - 100%

I am now working on my pretest for Science....well I am not sure how I am going to do but I am going to give it my best. LOL....my daughter thinks it is cool that I am going for my GED. I am trying to set a good example because it is almost hard to get a job with out a diploma or a GED now a days....and it took me 10 to 15 years just to get a decent job.

I just thought I would share....

LOL Perception......that is great that it has become a new part of your routine...I am sure that it works every muscle.

Hi gang! I have been either doing really great or really poorly. Thank you to those thinking of us. I was at 154 on my Sat weigh-in but I ate pretty bad the last 2 days. It's incredible to me that I was so determined all that time. But as soon as it really got cold and the daylight was shorter I have struggled.Tomorrow clean slate and all that good stuff.

Christie, I am so sorry you have been without power. I know you might not read this until you go back to your Dad's but I really feel bad for you and your family.

Fullsteam, way to go on your workouts!

Good job to those who have hit their goals during this challenge. I'm not giving up on myself I just not need to find motivation and get refocused.

Also about Dh and I doing this together~ it didn't work out so well. We both like each other the way we are, we just don't like ourselves. So if he was going for bad food x and said to me "do you want some?" I would say "well I guess if you're having some". Like if he was having it too then it didn't have fat or calories.

Have a goodnight!

It sucked cause we couldn't cook so eating out but we we're safe and warm at least. I weighted in this morning and manged to lose 0.4lbs during this all not sure how but will take it. Wanted to post a fast thing must go kids need me.

Good morning ladies

Nice to see you all as always. I am pleased to report that yesterday went very well, I tried the mini meal/snacking approach throughout the day and evening and found that I ate much less than I normally do for dinner......it worked! I drank my water too and let's just say I released plenty of fluids. I did not have any starches as staying away from them for a while and/or limiting them is goal.

Going to the market and having all of my healthy snacks on hand ( h.b egg, s.f choc. jello, grapes, etc. ) and planning my meals is definitely what is doing it for me right now! Tis a new day, must keep it up! I had chicken as my main meal (in a tom. and cuke salad w/ a little egg). I did get hungry at night and even after my snack (s.f choc. fudgicle) so I had a can of string beans (the whole can) at only 70 cals! What are some of your favorite healthy treats ladies? I also love my wheat thins w/ f.f cream cheese but they are off limits to me for a little while.

Ms Perception, ty....I'm trying. I owe a big thanks to the gals here who helped inspire me to kick it in gear and exercise. lol @ snow shoveling and your new exercise routine It's actually a great workout. My DH would snicker at that right now, poor guy is so tired of cleaning all the snow this season and with good reason! We got another 4 or 5 inches last night too but at least it is nice and sunny today. WTG on your workout yesterday .

Jaya, good for you for going back to school for your GED! Bravo! Yes, keep on studying Jaya.......that is super .

Hi Sass, hope you had fun running in the snow! brrrrrrrrrrrr, lol.

Leneee, hey there Tis a new day with a clean slate! I think that just one good day will have you feeling better and give you that oomph and motivation again.....hang in there and bravo for keeping at it. It sure has been a long winter Lene. Luckily, the days are getting longer and in approx. a month (March 8) we change the clocks ahead and it wont be getting dark until nearly 7 pm! nice. THe weather will be getting milder and you will be able to get out for those runs that you enjoy! Ohhhh, I can't wait to get out for my walks....I miss the outdoors much. Hope your having an awesome day.

Keeperoftheheart, my goodness! I saw the news about kentucky and what was going on over there. I am glad that you and your family are home and safe now, you must be exhausted. That's great that you did not gain during that ordeal and once again Welcome back home and welcome back here : ).

urockmom, hi there lady! How are things going on your end? Have you gone skiing again?

Hi Hattie, how are you doing? keep up the great work.

Madi, Lekhika, and to all of you.......hello and keep at it as well.

Well ladies I better be going, it is getting late. Ohhhh does anyone have comcast? COmcast on demand has the exercise t.v with so many various forms of exercise (for free) and you can run it anytime you want. I added some upper bod strength training with jackie warner and might mix in some various aerobics for more of a body motion range ......as much as I love my treadmill I need some diversity and also lateral moves. I hope everyone has a great day, let's all keep truckin' ladies .

Confession time....so, I went to a pizza buffet yesterday with my kids (their idea) and ate more than I should've but not as much as I wanted. Out of guilt I worked out twice but I couldn't bear to weigh-in today. Tomorrow will be fine, I know. One meal won't kill me. The good news is I worked out twice yesterday! Making progress toward proper activity levels...I hope!

So, I started the calorie cycling the last two days following the advice of the chicks over at the Calorie Counters.
But, nothing seems to be happening yet. Just sittin' around waitin' on a whoosh.....

I'm leaving this afternoon for a little getaway with DH. Two nights away and a full day of skiing, even maybe a spa trip!, to celebrate our anniversary (20 years!!!) that falls next week.

I'll catch up with everyone on Monday!!! and for a great weekend!

Christie~Welcome back to the land of the living and the WARM!!!!

Hi Family .....

I have been so bad today .... I drank soda today , but still ate pretty good .... I think it is stress because I have not worked out this week The security still has my gym bag LOL .....hahahaha that is funny ......but I need to get it in the morning so that I can work out tomorrow. Since I did not work out this week I will be working out Friday, Saturday, Sunday Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday .........and then Saturdays is weight day....I will be honest and I will work my tail off to reach that 20 pound goal but I think I will only make it to 15 pounds lost. I so far have lost 10 pounds total. If I have to sweat the other 5 I will hehehehe.... I am still happy that I have stuck to this as long as I have ...it really helps having the support group here .....REALLY helps....
Congrats to all that has recent weight loss......YOU ALL ROCK .....

Oh, I really did terrible in math yesturday at school .... I was given homework by my teacher to study...heheheheh..my 16 year daughter that that was funny.......she is so cute she says when I got home...Hi Mom how was school.....it just sounds really cute when she says it....along with her little smurkey smile... LOL
