Careful of the heat tonight Ms Kykers A guy at work said he was out running at 6pm and nearly passed out!

Drink plenty through the day today - I'm super-hydrating for kickboxing tonight! I'm on my 3rd liter already I'm going to be doing my long run on Friday in the AIR CONDITIONED gym And I get out for my shorter ones at 6am, so it's not TOO bad, but still quite sticky!

I'll just see how it goes, if it's too hot I won't run, just lie on the couch with the cat

I can't do the super hydrating thing. I wear a whole out in the carpet going to the loo every two minutes!

Yeah, I go to the downstairs loo (I'm upstairs) to get more exercise!

I'm such a grown-up! I'm having tuna pasta salad for lunch! 2 things I've never had before - cold tuna and cold pasta. It's yummy! Just whole wheat pasta, with a dribble of olive oil (that dribbled out of the tupperwear and all inside the carrier bag!) and albacore tuna with lettuce

Oh and I've been to the gym and shredded my shoulders and tris - they're all tingly!

yummy. Haven't had a pasta salad in ages. Might make a veggie kinda one up for myself to have at dinner time.

Well been tidying like a headless chicken all morning to get rid of the last few remaining boxes from moving in in may. And they are now all gone!! I can't believe how hot it is in here thought. Phew!

My lovely bf Jason isn't feeling too good today though as his UC is playing up quite a lot, maybe because of the heat. Feel really sorry for him.

Onward and upward

Loz x

Just back from swimming. It was jam packed for the first half hour but the water was quite cool so people started leaving and it got better. I as the only person swimming for the last 10 minutes. I'm trying to swim a mile but I am a VERY slow swimmer and the more I try and speed up the slower I seem to go.

I love tuna and pasta salad. I make mine with home made lime mayonnaise and a touch of chopped garlic, coriander and chilli - yum. I know what I'm going to have for dinner tomorrow night!

DH came home with a GREAT 'keep cool in the hot weather tip' - sounds weird but house can be cooler at night if you open the loft hatch - we tried it out and it worked!

That's all well and good if you live in a house with a loft Try living in a stupidly well-insulated apartment block with double glazing and noisy Ambulances screeching past the window at all hours of the night... Ah dontcha just love London! And we're not even in the centre! I want to live in the coun-tree with the hedgehogs and shooting stars

Ah yes! Been there, done that! I have very miserable memories of a very hot summer in a rented top floor flat in West Hampstead - I got a bad attack of chickenpox so I couldn't leave the flat and just when I was okay my daughter (who was only 2 at the time) came down with it as well. We had a solid month in that flat and only one of the windows would open - the rest were painted or nailed shut. I lost 2 stone in 4 weeks! The rest of the house was full of students whose sole aim in life was to PARTY 24/7!

Sorry, Frus, but the loft hatch trick works if you've got one!

Sounds like a nightmare! If only we could afford a nice house in the country AND the season ticket to commute into London!

yup frus... were in N1.. well almost...
just no air moving at all.... and no loft.. being ground floor flat... grrr...
i want a house... !... we might have to move soon... so will just have to wait!
wont be in london tho!... we were mghtmove 2 we could get a 3 bed detached for the same price as this 2bed flat... !... but my london weighting would cover me for travel.. (and i would still have a bit extra) so would be benifit...

Oh, more developments on the old KB front! I told Lee that I was still p'd off last night. I am, it's still lame. And he kinda squirmed. Then he proposed I organised something!!! What a cheek! Only a minute before he'd said, "Oh you're going to be so busy with the wedding and your half marathon, you probably won't be able to train as much as you want." So he does KNOW that I'm busy!

And pregnant girl, who was going to come and stay with us for the weekend with her blokie e-mailed me today and asked where we were staying. I told her I didn't know and she should yell at Lee! She is just as mad as I was! I think Lee is going to get a good ear-bashing this afternoon!

I've been instructed to go kick his ***!

2 frus - it is to hot to yell - just kick butt!

On the home front I am 13 floors up with windows that don't open much and living in hospital accommodation we get ambulances screeching past all the time. Mindyou - them I can cope with - we are also near a main road and get screechy people going past at all hours. Plus the lifts go up and down all night and you hear the front door shut hard as well. Oh and the blasted planes!

However, I would find the country too quiet. I would wonder what the noise was (owls, Hedgehogs snuffling etc). Mindy you when I go to my Aunt's in Croydon I hear the Foxes.

Planes! We used to hear the planes in Hounslow. Never bothered us too much though.

DF has a cold. he's just rung me up to see if I can "come home early" ie miss kickboxing. I told him not really. I think he's pissed off. I'm torn.

Bugritt!

Nope, he wants me to go home and look after him! Personally I'd tell him to toughen up, but he sounded so sad when I put the phone down.

He's really insecure and he doesn't like me being "out all the time" and he did come home early (ie not work late) when I was off work with a cold, but then stayed out late Weds and Thurs He will conveniently "forget" that he didn't come home then!
