Default July Mid-Summer Chat

Pinch, Punch First of the Month!

Is it warm where you are? Its boiling here and due to get hotter! (Supposed to go up to 31c with rain tomorrow - yuck!)

I found myself walking my dogs at 5am today - it was too warm to sleep comfortably then someone's house alarm developed a fault and kept going off every 15 minutes for 5 minutes starting 2.30 - not what you need on a hot night! Arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Half way through the year whereby I hope to reach my goal weight by the end. Ideally I would have reached it by now, but I'm making progress so that is all that matters really.

It is very warm here too, supposed to be the hottest weekend of the year so far - damn ( I dont like taking my clothes off )! Nice Barbeque weather though.

I can't believe it's JUly already. I'm also hoping to get to target by the end of the year but have been lagging a little lately! Any one got any inspired ideas to get my but moving and start loosing again? I just seem to be lurching from one excuse to the next. My weeks are good but my weekends are terrible and I need to break the cycle.

I accidentally walked 15k yesterday. I only meant to go to town but I was rushing all over the place then looked at the pedometer and thought that can't be right then added it up and realised it was.

Had my cholesterol tested and I'm 3.88 which they said was quite good and my blood pressure was normal (thats a miracle because its normally scarily low so for me it was sky high because it was within the normal range), my pulse was high though I got it done before the exercise well Id just walked into the lower part of town about 3/4 of a mile and then had an hour of sitting down before I had it done and I was 111 thats a bit high for a resting pulse rate isnt it. He said it was a bit worrying but could just be because it was hot I'm guessing it was that because I had a dizzy spell later in the day.

Anyway a good weekend was had really just wish we'd won the footie.

I'm having a good weekend The rugby yesterday was fab, and the journey wasn't too bad, despite being hot and sticky. I left plenty of time so I kept on stopping for breaks, and my eating was utterly angelic. The only thing I bought to eat or drink en route was a couple of extra bottles of water, other than that I stuck to the healthy stuff I'd taken with me - and I didn't even eat all of that!

Then this morning I managed to drag myself out of bed for a 15.5 mile run. I wish I could have got out earlier than I did, but I only got in at midnight so I think that setting out at 7.30 was quite early enough! I intend to doze a bit this afternoon, but not until I've made a trip to the off licence to stock up on supplies. A nice relaxing afternoon of doing very little awaits

I'm having an extremely BAD weekend.

I wouldn't mind the hot weather except for the idiot chavs next door and being forced to chose between boiling slowly to death with the windows shut or having them open and getting so angry at their thoughtless noise that I have a heard attack!

Mr Chav has got his kids from his previous relationship visiting for the weekend. This is always a problem time and this month it seems to be worse than ever. He spent most of yesterday screaming at his son - the lad can't seem to do anything right - until finally I cracked and went out and gave him a piece of my mind. (Just the little bit that I didn't want any more )

Then last night him and Mrs Chav left the kids (ages 9, 10, 11 and 13) and went to the pub to watch the footie and didn't come home until 1am by which time they were as penguins. The pub is in walking distance and on the way home they had a very personal type argument at the top of their voices - you know, the sort you shouldn't have in front of ANYONE else - so we all know about their (lack of) sex life now! We could hear them at it all the way from the pub to their house and then they spent another hour standing outside our house screaming and swearing at each other and then screaming and swearing at all the neighbours who were shouting at them to shut up. This went on until the Police turned up.

Today - well - it was quiet this morning because they had hangovers but he's taken on board the concept of the 'hair of the dog' thing and has been knocking back cans of Stella - and he's now as a penguin again - and is singing rude rugby type songs at the top of his voice (in front of the kids).

Apart from them its such a nice quiet little village - so why did we have to chose the house next door to them???

sods law I think. Its always the way we have the family from **** across the street they aren't quite as hellish now they've grown up a bit but everyone in the street calls them the hells and so has now forgotten their real name. They managed to have a party and be sick on their own roof once which is quite impressive I think.

Sick on their own roof? Wow that is impressive! (sorry there is a teenager in me trying to get out!!).

It has certainly been hot where I was. Saturday I decided to go to see my Aunt before she goes on her jaunt down to Suffolk to see a friend and pet sit for them. I was trying to get a dress for the 50th party of my friends in August. I thought East Croydon was as good a place as any as I dreaded going up town to Oxford Street. Well I managed to get a dress in Allders (it is still there until the end of the year) from Kalliko, reduced to £59.95. Silk patterned in cream, green and a poppy red colour. It even fits!!

Today (Sunday) unfortunately I am in work finishing off a psychiatric report. It is not as bad as the Prof's usual ones, the dictation is ok for once - perhaps there wasn't an airport noisey enough to go stand in, no babies screeching on the ferry to France etc.

I really must introduce him to SarahAnn's Mr & Mrs Chav. He can quiz them about their non existant sex life and dictate the report to me while they stand there having a slanging match. I usually put a line of xxx's when I cannot understand a word (reports normally full of 'em cos he has a habit of missing the first few words of a sentence by turning the machine and an off and doesn't speak in full sentences anyway). If he did a report on the Chavs it would be full of **** Mr Chav said "**** off" and Mrs Chav said "You **** off." Lovely

I've just been very brave and talked to them about what a misery they're making everyones' lives during this hot weather. They were lying on their concrete garden looking a little fragile so I gave them 15 minutes of some very loud old death metal music first, then turned it off and went and talked to them. They seemed to understand.

I then had to go apologise to my other neighbours.... The woman who phoned the Police is also going to report them to Social Services about the way he treats the kids. Life is going to be interesting!

yup the parents clearly thought that the kids were mature enough to be left for the weekend with just someone occassionally checking in on them they were 17 or so the kids that is, so no they had a massive party climbed onto their roof drunk and puked all over it, dented some cars etc etc neighbours weren't happy bunnies.
