Freda I've been MIA here recently, but did want to say that I have been thinking about your GS and am so happy to hear that his surgery went well! I'll keep thinking positive thoughts for good results from the biopsy too.

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days...I had a very difficult weekend thanks to a painful medical test. Unreal. Anyway, at that point I said "forget it" and cancelled my routine mammo and dexa scheduled for today. Honest to Pete, my mental health is at stake now!!! I need a break from all this stuff.

I'll reschedule the tests next month.

The stress and strain and pain did NOT help my program - I finally caved after several months of strictly following my Atkins and had a PINT of ice cream. Ack. But the good news is that THAT was it and I went right back the following day to observing my diet program. I am NOT going to let this stupid medical deal ruin my progress with my diet!!

Last night I worked on making a schedule for myself for the month of July and also looked at what I want, or would like to accomplish in this upcoming month. Nothing fancy, just work on organizing my time, scheduling my workout sessions like I would a hair appointment, and also scheduling regular GROCERY SHOPPING DAYS - I'm excited about that last one - well excited that I thought of it!!

I have a tendency to do things in the old "by-the seat-of-my-pants" method. To keep the right kind of food on hand here at home, I have to shop on a regular basis and more than once a week for the fresh produce. Soooo....I think that should work out easier if I just commit to a scheduled grocery shopping trip. Well, I'll let you all know how it goes next month

Thank you to All for the very sweet good wishes sent to me That was so nice to read.

Oh, HY . . . How terrible for you. I can certainly understand that a mammogram would not be high on your preference list right now. I am surprised you could stop with just a pint of ice cream. Your organization plans sound great, especially the regular shopping times. Hope it helps, kiddo. See you soon. We miss you when you're not here with us.

Freda...Linda beat me to the swift kick in the rear and the slap on the head, but I'll do it anyway! Hope that helps.

Hy...I think you have done a good thing in setting up regular shopping days. You did good at stopping at 1 pint of ice cream, I probably would of had a quart.
Hope you had a pint of the good ice cream. Don't blame you for not wanting to go through anymore test. You have gone through so much already and deserve a rest.

Linda...Still have not figured out the problem with the computer. I hope Hubby will call the server tomorrow. I need to check out bank statement and can't since it's not secured at this time.

Well gals, I have been gone all day. Had three appointment with the FD to go to and one for me this afternoon. No sewing on the kids today and probably the same tomorrow since I have another appointment with the FD in the morning and WW for me. Hope to land Thursday and do nothing but sew. Have a good evening ladies.

Thanks everyone for the moral support. I hope to be able to return the favor if it's ever needed!

Yes, the schedule and all is working out super for me! I even got my DH to agree to abide by a schedule for feeding our pets. He will feed them in the mornings and I'll feed them in the evenings for one week, then switch each following week, for the entire month of July. Then if either of it hates it or it just isn't working, we'll try something else or just go back to the chaos as usual after the month is up

The next challenge as far as scheduling for me is to figure out how to manage my computer time - I tend to waste a lot of time sometimes. I've experienced a lot of slow-down on yahoo with a couple groups I "own" - so have had to resort to saving every freaking message I post and all that kind of stuff Anyway, I want to find a block of time each day and use that to post/read messages and restrict just to that designated time. Honest, I'm worse than a teenager sometimes with the the goofing off I do online -

Yesterday was a good day for me, as far as my program and I just have to keep building on these successful days and not the crappy ones.

And that's the news that's fit to print from me

Have a good day all!

Why of course!!! It was one of those fancy brands that has no additives and all. I didn't even look at the calorie count - like that would have stopped me anyway - lol!! I'm sure it was like 10,000 per tablespoon Oh well, I had my fling and now it's time to return to sanity...

Hello everybody . . . I am in a very foul mood this morning. I still have my 3.6 lbs of WWW and I refuse to move by ticker backwards. It's as if the whole month of June never even happened and I don't deserve this, but I'm very busy today trying to make it turn into a self-fulfilling-prophecy. Hopefully I'll lose this blue-funk of an appetite before it actually does. See you later.

Sending Meowee a big hug and a sympathetic shoulder

It ISN'T fair, you are oh-so-right!! Some of us just have to work so very hard and then it seems sometimes that STILL isn't enough!!

Keep on focusing on your goal and remember all the health benefits you've already recieved from doing your program. I think it's good to recognize what helps and what DOESN'T help during those times when you are feeling low. Like if I feel rotten, it makes me feel worse if people say "Oh it's OK, blah, blah, blah..!" It's NOT OK, allright???!!! LOL. So I won't do that here to you either

Sometime me getting p*ssed off is what gets me really going in a new and/or more successful direction. Anyway I'm confident you can turn this around and blow those extra pounds right off the map

Linda...Those subborn pounds are water weight and the older we get, the longer they like to stick around. Hang in there!

Hy...So glad you had the good ice cream. Makes it a whole lot sweeter.

Went to my WW meeting today and I was down 2 pounds. Made my day!! Had lunch out with my friend and I can't be eating any fried foods like I did today. I just feel yucky!!! I have one meeting tomorrow afternoon, and then I hope to stay home for a couple of days. See you gals tomorrow.

Default hi

Hi everyone, I needed that! A good reminder to stay on the straight and narrow! Thanks also for the prayers for my grandson. He has to go back to the surgeon the 10'th. I'll sure be relieved when it's over.

Hy, I know those medical tests, especially that one, can be really painful! I put it off untill the last min. I get them, but I don't have to like it! The Dr. has been bugging me about a colonoscopy too. This is the year I give in and get it done. One of my resolutions! Don't let ANYTHING stand in the way of you staying on your diet and getting healthier! Do what cha gotta do girl! And good for you for making a schedule for the important things! You know my Motto: plan, plan, plan!!

Meow, Hope you're in a better mood! Just let the weight gain make you more determined! Next time I get the urge to eat something I know is a no-no I'll remember the kick in the pants!

Cheryl, Hope you'e spending the day sewing and having fun!

remember, every day is a new day, a new start! Freda

Nothing new here - For A Switch!! LOL. Thank goodness...

I'm staying on track, keeping things in perspective (I think!) and renewing my committment to my program as I look forward to July 1st and the start of a new month.

The last couple days I've been working on getting all my loose photos into albums and replacing a couple old albums with newer ones that are acid-free, etc. I also scanned several old pictures into the computer and have been pulling my hair out with that little endeavor - my scanner was acting up...oh, I'm not gonna bore you with the details, but will leave it at this: I wasted about 4 hours. Computers!!! Grrrrr....

I Have MS Picture It! that was bundled with other software that came with my computer, but it has always been "fussy" and I'm about fed up with it's hissy fits. I'm thinking about trying out the photoshop elements free 30 day trial. I know how to use that program too.

Have a good weekend all -and a Happy 4th of July to those of us here that celebrate this day

Hugs to all, Hy

Hi there, Ladies . . .

Just wanted to let you know I'm alive and kicking . . . but not very hard . . . as a matter of fact I'm trying to move as little as possible. This has been a long and very oppresive heat and humidity wave for Nova Scotia. Boy I hope it breaks soon.

The good news is that I only went into food melt-down for about half a day and then I got back on track with proper eating . . . guess I just don't know how to have a really violent pig-out any more. YIPPEE . . . I'm counting that as a non-scale-victory in and of itself. I haven't gotten on the scale again but I know I still have the www because my ankles look like somebody inflated them like balloons. Hopefully the weather will change before next Wednesday's weigh-in and I can at least get back to where I started before this week came along.

Anyway, hope everybody has a great long-weekend and lots of great fireworks no mater which side of the US/Canada border you are on. Keep on doing the good stuff and I'll see you all really soon.

Hi gang . . . I'm kicking harder today . . . our extreme humidity has dropped about 35 to 40 percentage points since this morning and the relief is amazing. Couldn't ask for a nicer Canada Day. Hopefully it will continue until at least mid-week and I'll be able to get rid of some of this www.

Hope the weather is nice where you are, too. Have a great long weekend. Keep moving and shaking and heading in the downward direction. See you soon.
