I haven't weighed myself yet. I had Indian food for dinner last night, and I am afeared of the water retention. So I think I will just put it off for a day or two. I didn't eat as much as I normally would have, though, so that's a good start.

I have to say, trying to eat healthy when you are eating out is HARD! My husband started working on a kitchen project that required everything to be moved off the counters (he's painting the undersides of the cabinets) and it's too paint-smelly and messy to cook much in there. So we've eaten out the past two nights. I'm really enjoying not having to clean or cook, but I'm a bit tired of negotiating restaurant menus. SO much easier to eat at home.

Anyway, Melissa - congratulations! Woot! Two pounds!

And Ennay, don't beat yourself up. Even if you're not too pleased with what you ate, that was like, a year ago! And there's no sense worrying about it now! It's a whole new month to start over!

I had Indian last night too! Yummy. I really don't understand the scale sometimes. The fiance and I had a ton of indian food and then went out for ice cream, too! And yet today the scale says down 1/2 a pound. Go figure.

Just 9.5 lbs left to go on the V-Day challenge! hahaha

Good Afternoon ladies!
DH and I celebrated New Year's Eve the same way we do every year, stayed home. (Too many drunks on the road) My Sunday Journal:
Calories... 1,221
Fat...15% (I didn't get my Tablespoon of Olive Oil in) that's why it's so low. I've averaged a tad over two pounds a week and happy that I haven't hit the dreaded plateau yet.
ennay...Thanks for sharing about your name, I'm so nosey. Isn't that what killed the cat?
tamibeep...Good for you eating only 1/2 your Mexican meal. I laughed when I read about the 4 chips. I love salty foods and when I eat pretzels, I measure out a few, then SUCK on them until they dissolve in my mouth. How pathetic is that? It takes forever to eat but my tummy is satisfied.
Stopeating...Probably a good name for all of us or we wouldn't be posting on 3FC's. I like quantity too, which is why I eat all Fat Free/Sugar Free products. The only problem is it works too good. 99% of the time I'm short of my 1200 calorie per day goal. I usually have to eat a Tablespoon of Olive oil+ popcorn at night to reach my quota.
Susan...Alabama, tank top, glorious weather............
We had two inches of snow last night, this morning I shoveled snow with DH then went Cross Country skiing. It was beautiful out, looked like diamonds sparking all over.
OneperDecade...I have a warped sense of humor too so I can appreciate your user name I had to contact Chellez this morning because I put in 12-31-06 weight for my starting weight on the Biggest Loser Challenge. I had forgotten what weight I gave her when she asked for everyone's final weight. That's to my advantage because I was 155.5 at the time. I've lost since then, when are you going to post your weight?
Par12199...congrats on the two pound loss!
SmartButt....I'd love to know how your name came about Now that you shocked your tummy last night, maybe it'll make your scale move once you get back on program.
Callejo...Congrats to you too on the 2 pound loss. Like Susan said, "45 Days" left.
Time for me to get off my duff, Later!

Hey all! Happy New Year to all of you I went to a New Year's Eve party, and I ended up eating a lot less than I usually do. However, I look forward to a certain dish all year, and I def. made sure to enjoy it when I had the chance! I'm down one pound, congrats to Callejo and Par12199 for losing.

Oh, and Bobbi--the boyfriend that gave me that nickname and I are no longer together

My fiance and I walked at a brisk pace around our neighborhood, some flat, some slightly hilly, for an hour. I wore my heartrate monitor & with my age/weight/etc plugged in, it estimated 400 calories burned! Sad that walking an hour for my body burns that much in a way. Fitday calculates 130 calories burned. Yeah right.

My legs are doing that "pinging" sensation. Anyone else ever get that?

Ah well, off to make dinner!

Hi everyone

Hope you don't mind me joining this challenge. I put on a shocking 10 lbs over Christmas so my V-day goal is to get back to what I was before. How can it take so long to come off, but so short a time to go back on again?

I had a good day today. Even after New Year's Eve at my mum's, having the most gorgeous roast chicken dinner with yorkshire pudding and sausages, and trifle for dessert, I was down a pound this morning from yesterday.

I did my exercise DVD for the first time since flipping Easter. Over the summer I did a fair bit of cycling and walking but since September all I've really done is a bit of halfhearted swimming. So, New Year, new start. I'm back doing my DVD three times a week like I did last year.

But, I tell you what - it's a heck of a lot easier than it was last January!

Hi Robsia! Welcome!

I just love the idea of having chicken AND sausages for dinner! Yum!

Um.. I mean... hey, I love spinach. No, really.

We're glad you're here!

Not a bad day today. I exercised 65 minutes. My calories were around 1500 which is high for me because I was picking on cashews left over from last night. Still not terrible. Yesterday I walked for 30 minutes and rode my bike for one hour. I go back to work on Wednesday and my next two months will be totally crazy. I will really need to work to get the exercise in.

It's awful, but I am SO glad the holidays are over & the spouse is going back to work...My exercise has been down, my eating has been up...*sigh* My weight has fluctuated up & down for the past week or 10 days so today I made a point to have no added sodium, to get my cardio in & to drink as much H2O as my kidneys can handle -- tomorrow morning's weight will be my "official" January weight since I won't be able to use my period or water retention as a crutch.
Today's calories -- 1266 in, 3379 out. THAT'S more like it!!!

It's an extravagance I know, but when my mum makes roast chicken she cooks the sausages in the chicken fat and they are absolutely divine.

Normally I have to say no (which kills me) as it adds about 300 cals per sausage - but yesterday I figured "what the heck".

Thanks for the welcome!

Good Morning Girls!
Where are all the men?
Monday's Journal:
Calories...1,186
Fat...29% (14g's from Olive Oil)
My weight has been zip zagging by 1/2 pound for the last few day, wish it'd make up it's mind.
Electron...Congrats on the 1 lb. loss!
Rusty...Congrats to you too on 2 lbs. loss!
SmartButt...Good workout you and fiance had.
P.S. I think Phatbutt is a cute name, it shows your sense of
humor. I don't know who J. Michaels is but she needs to lighten up!
Robsia from across the pond... You've already lost 2 of your 10 pound Valentine goal, great. I started at the beginning and that's all I've lost, I better kick myself in the and get going.
Stopeating...At least you wore off your cashews through exercise. It'll make you stop and think of all the hard work you'll have to do next time you get tempted.
Paula...great stats and we have an extra incentive on the Biggest Losers blue team.:
I'm getting hungry, think I'll make a English Muffin egg sandwich....Catch ya all later, Bobbi
