Well, it's my weigh in day and I lost 1.8 pounds.. but thats in 2 weeks, remember the first week I gained .2. I'm a bit bummed because honestly, I have not cheated at all except for the first cheat day.. oh well... I will keep going.. I still feel like giving up all that sugar, bread, pasta, rice, etc., was the best thing for me.. I haven't gotten the headaches I have in the past and I haven't hardly felt hungry between meals like I used to..

OH, and I'm taking my cheat day tomorrow..

Anyways, here is my yesterday meals:

My Meals Friday 1/31/14:

B - 2 eggs, 2 turkey sausace patties, sprinkle of cheese, coffee with sf creamer
S - Nuts
L - Chicken salad on spring salad leaves, left over sauteed squash from dinner
S - None
D - Burger Patty with Cheese and Bacon, Salad with Ranch Dressing
S - SF Peach Jello

Water / Tea - approx 32 oz

Okay, I'm about to go for a walk. It's the first time today I've had a chance. I am going to list on here, below my meals, each day that I walk. I give everyone here permission to scold me for not walking on any day that I am not sick or my rheumatoid arthritis is flaring or TOM is visiting! Because I have rheumatoid arthritis, I don't do more than walk, but because I have it, I really do need to walk, whether it is outside when the weather allows or inside to an indoor walking video. So my friends, please help me to stay accountable! I loathe exercise so I am really bad about it (even though I am very grateful that I am able to exercise)!

Jacqui good for you on going for a walk. Walking is all I do also. I need to strength train or something to tone. My stomach is looking really flabby and I don't remember it looking like this in 2010. I did my 4 miles this afternoon on the treadmill. For some reason I was out of breath pretty early on but I continued and burned 589 calories.

I think tuna is my favorite food at the moment with tomato

Rennie, yay on the .4 down and the walking! Great job! I just walk 1-2 miles because if I walk more, my knees swell and I'm pretty useless the next day. But I got my walk in tonight, 1.5 miles, so that's good! You know, I am just the opposite of you when it comes to sweets. You seem to be a chips snacker, and I am a sweets snacker! Splenda is just b-a-r-e-l-y sweet enough for me in my hot green tea, lol! And oh my, give me an ice cold glass of Southern sweet tea any day (on any cheat day, that is, haha)! Yum!

Pamela, congrats on being 1.8 lbs down! That's great! You know, you had been doing another diet (was it WW?) before this, and I imagine when you started that, you dropped the initial water weight that people tend to lose on diets. After that initial drop, the body burns fat, and it can really only burn up to about 2 lbs of fat per week, so you did fantastic this week! And I can't wait to see what you've chosen for your cheat day foods, lol! Oh and I use butter to cook. And the only cheese I eat is cottage cheese and a sprinkle of shredded mild cheddar on my salads (and omelets when I have them).

Gary, in The Four-Hour Body, the main diet Tim Ferriss promotes is the Slow Carb Diet, but he also mentions some other diets: Intermittent Fasting, Protein Cycling, and Primarily Plant-Based Diet (http://www.chewfo.com/diets/the-4-ho...oid-food-list/). It sure seems to me that Carb Cycling would fit right in as a good alternative!

Missy, woohoo on the .6 drop! And yes, I feel so much better eating slow carb. I mean, I'm always happy to see cheat day roll around because I LOVE my sweets, but I just can't eat like that everyday, yet before I started the Slow Carb Diet, that's exactly what I was doing! Btw, your meals look great!

Jacqui good job on the walk. sorry about your knees swelling on longer walks. My knees use to ache and pop when I was heavier but not any more. Maybe yours will get a little better also. I just need to remember to stretch before I start.

Congrats on the losses! I haven't weighed myself in the last few days, but of course will at WW on Wednesday night. Feel like I've had chills lately so refuse to take my clothes off in the morning to weigh myself - unless I can take off at least 5 lbs for my PJs!!!

Good job walking Jacqui! I still have not made it to the gym. I am on my feet all day and have been feeling more exhausted than usual lately. Hope I'm not coming down with something. Have been sleeping better lately so that should help.

Okay, crazy I know, but I just took down my Christmas Tree today. I've never had it up this late but I promised my daughter that I would leave it up until the end of January since we put it up so late this year, right before Christmas. We usually put it up right after Thanksgiving. My husband was extremely relieved! I think the cats are bummed though. Being strictly indoor cats, they love it! Like an indoor jungle gym! Oh well. Can't please everyone. We also have a smaller, all year perpetual tree that we decorate for different holidays and seasons, and I decorated it for Valentine's Day. Yeah, as I said crazy... but fun!

Okay, back to diet talk... For Super Bowl I decided on making a large salad bar/ taco bar, and chicken wings. I figured the salad bar could also function as a veggie platter for nibbling, and the taco bar additions could be deluxe nachos, for those who want them, or taco salad for the lighter, lower carb option. And chicken wings because they're traditional and sound good! I'm not preparing any dessert except cut fruit for the salad bar. Oh, and diet mojitos with the no cal Crystal Light Mojito mix, fresh squeezed lime juice and muddled mint, some lime slices and rum. Not too bad. What do you think?

Good morning everyone. So I managed to get to one pound below my ticker on the morning of cheat day. It was lovely for a brief minute then I am up 4lbs after cheat day. No worries, I know how this works. A lazy day at home today doing some housework.

Steph, great SuperBowl menu! And I'll call your crazy lady, and raise you one, lol! I live in a big historical house and I put up 15 trees, about 300 nutcrackers, and lots of other decorations (and I don't even decorate outdoors--too much work)! I am into vintage Christmas, so I have lots of old glass ornaments and vintage Santas, etc. I start pulling things down from the attic the day after Halloween, so needless to say, I am still putting away Christmas decorations! And I'll also be watching some kitten bowl, lol!

TwoTots, yay for exceeding your ticker weight and I'm glad you no longer worry about the water weight you gain after cheat day!

Gary, look at you still dropping! How close are you to your tape measurement goal? I assume that's what you're going for.

Rennie, the last day! You have done so wonderfully for consecration! I'm really proud of you!
