Yaaaay on both fronts Jacqui, I'm glad you are feeling better!!!

I wanted to let you all know about 2 items I found at Walsmart..

    1) Chef's Finest Garlic Pepper Crispy Onions, Total Carb 4, sugars 0. I found this in the croutons section, $1.32
    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Chef-s-Fin...-4-oz/19767429

    2) Lawry's 30-Minute Marinade Steak & Chop with Garlic and Cracked Black Pepper, 1 Carb, 0 Sugar, $1.98
    http://www.walmart.com/ip/10449020?w...772670&veh=sem

I used the marinade tonight with my grilled chicken, actually, I mixed it with a 1/2 serving on Ranch Dressing to make a nice creamy dip for the Chicken and then I used the cruncy onions on my salad.. both very good!
  • Hi all, sorry I have been MIA lately. Not been feeling well and it's been soooo cold! Too cold even for a bath which is when I usually post from my phone, with waterproof case of course, or the middle of the night from my kindle when not sleeping. But been sleeping, (thanks NyQuil!), and haven't had many baths because its been so cold that we've had to leave all the taps dripping, including the hot taps.Makes for a lukewarm bath in morning, a curse of an old home and winter weather that seems to be trying to kill you! Was -27 F when I woke up this morning and -24 when I left for work. That is just miserable!!! (This ex So Cal Girl was dressed up like the biggest, puffiest Stay-Puff Marshmellowman you ever saw!!!!)

Even skipped WW last night. Had to take my hubby to get his car from the shop after work, was feeling pretty bad, and it was -16 by the time I got home, and I would have been 20 min late to WW so decided I could skip this week. Anyway, hoping to feel better tomorrow. Still feel drained. I think the really cold weather just takes it out of you. Will also have to start the diet proper again after the weekend, or maybe before depending on how I feel. Just don't feel like veggies and meat. Just toast or some soup. Don't think I've really done that bad but haven't been on the scale in a little over a week and haven't been necessarily eating low carb, but at least low carb/ low cal whole grain breads. Seems the only thing I can stomach. ( oh yeah - I did have some pizza a few night ago. Pretty sure it was't OP!) Need to have a very restful weekend, feel better and start anew.

Hope you all are doing well, and those under the weather are feeling better!
  • Thanks, People! I feel really welcome here! Just wanted to let you know I weighed today and I am 155!!!! That's 13 lbs! Just reading your posts have encouraged me to work a little harder and it's working!

    Blessings to ALL!
  • Well, I haven't gotten back to my ticker weight yet, but I think it's close enough that I'm not going to move it back up after all. Hopefully, I'm back on track now to keep losing. I don't know why I had the sudden jump up. Hormones I guess (and TOM still hasn't come)!

Steph, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. And that weather, oh my!!! I cannot imagine being in that kind of cold, and it probably feels doubly cold for you as a So Cal girl! I feel for you! Try to stay warm! The bright side (have to find a bright side, right?) is that being cold is supposed to speed up your metabolism! Anyway, I sure hope you start feeling better (and warmer) soon!

TwoTots, your meals look fantastic and I love how you always find a way to get some exercise in. That's dedication!
  • Pamela, hm, waking up feeling hungry and nauseous. Does that happen very often? It sounds like low blood sugar. I would suggest eating peanut butter before bed, but you already do that. Your meals look great, btw!
  • Good evening all. TGIF for sure!! I had some early meetings this morning so no exercise. I will do some tomorrow. We started a biggest loser competition in work. About 10 of us joined up, so that's fun at lunch time. I had briefly toyed with the idea of not having cheat days for a while!! Tomorrow is cheat day and I'm soooo looking forward to it. Definitely going to enjoy some off program treats.
Lashing rain all day here today. At least it's Friday. I love Fridays. Have a good evening everyone, I will probably watch the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
  • Catching up from the 5th ...

McSurf, good job on the 13lbs GONE Keep up the good work

    Where are the guys?

I'm here ... had an issue with vulgar pop ups so had to use a new browser to avoid them. I had an OP start of the day and them lunch was an Asian meal at work. I did well ate all protein (no rice or noodles) and then I decided I wanted fries. I only ate a third of them. I gave a third to a co-worker and thanks to finally listening to the full voice in my head I threw a third in the garbage then after running around with the kids I ate a slice and a half of cheese pizza. Cheat today was today. Tomorrow and Sunday will kick start my behind back into gear.

    2/6 ~ 169.8
    2/7 ~ 170.2 (+0.4) cheat day
    2/8 ~

so far I have not lost anything for the month of February, smh. I've got to do better.

I hope and pray that everyone that's not feeling well gets better soon
