Uggghhhh.

I weighed in yesterday, and I was up 1 lb. I'm pretty sure it's because of the way I ate on Saturday. My husband had a buddy come over to watch a movie with us, and we grilled out (not a problem), and the buddy brought tons of chips and oreos (problem). I had 2 chips and more than a few oreos. Luckily, I was able to stop myself before going completely overboard, but it was still a lot of excess calories (as I discovered when I finally looked at the nutrition info--they're worse for you than girl scout cookies!!!).

Then my sister found out on Sunday that her baby (she's at 22 weeks in her pregnancy) no longer has a heartbeat. :( I've been mostly OP, but stress snacking since I found out. Especially yesterday, as she was in the hospital all day for an induction, and it wasn't progressing at all. I picked up her boys from daycare (5 & 3 yr old), made them mac & cheese for dinner (ate a couple bites), made my own dinner (texas chili), and then ate some of their May Day candy with them (I only had 1-2 packs of smarties). It wasn't terrible or completely out-of-control, but it was extra calories in the form of fat and carbs. :(

I am SO. TIRED. But off to the gym I will go after work today--desperately need to work off the damage from yesterday.

My prayers are with your sister and your family.

Oh SO close..

Well, I decided to go for a WI today. I would usually do this on Thursdays but I will be working and then going to set up for the craft fair and really didn't know if I would be able to make it into the center.

Considering everything my system has been through this week, I had gained .5 on Monday and now, I've lost 2 (so really 1.5). Which puts me at 2lbs away from being below 300!! I really wanted to break that point this week but oh well, it'll happen next week. I may try to squeeze in a WI first thing Saturday morning before I go to my booth.. but don't know for sure. I don't know if I can wait until Monday to find out if I went below 300.. but then again, not sure I will lose 2lbs between today and Saturday!?

Oh well! Hope everyone is having a great Hump Day!

JenB72 05-04-2011 01:19 PM

And the streak continues!!!!! Lost another 0.5 pounds since Monday. That makes 19 out of 20 weigh-ins with a loss!

This is the lowest I have been in 2 years since the second month of my pregnancy. WOW!!! :yay:

Has anyone notice a change in any of the gel HNS? It seems every t ime I drink one, I have a very upset stomach, and with the orange flavor, I get diarrhea. However, the creamy cocoa, no problem. Just curious...

I haven't noticed anything but today when I was at my center, they received a shipment and I heard one of the ladies say.. are we not getting the concentrates anymore? And someone else said - doesn't look like it.

Now that you've mentioned this... I have a few weeks supply of the concentrates in my pantry. I hope there's nothing wrong with them. :?:

I haven't noticed yet. Of course, I just bought new boxes and haven't tried most of the liquid ones yet. I did try the orange yesterday though and had no problems.

:)I went to WI in this morning before heading to Lincoln to load my car up w/ my son's stuff. He will be done w/ his Freshman year in college in just a few hours.

WI I was down 2 lbs yeah no up this week just down. They also did measurements. In the first 4 months I only lost 12.25 inches. In the last month alone I've lost 11.75 inches. Yeah me. :) Now if I could get the scale to move that well. I know as hard as I've been working out that has caused the lose in inches. I'll take whatever I can get.

Teacherlady praying for you and your family during this time.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!!

teacherlady79 05-04-2011 03:53 PM

I haven't had any problems with mine. I just bought a bunch more last weekend, and I've been using them with no issues. They even have a brand-new flavor in the concentrates: pomegranate. I tried it, and I really liked it.

acarol22 05-04-2011 05:41 PM

:carrot:Finally got to sign the ten pound poster. Yah me!!

Dolly 05-04-2011 06:49 PM

Patzi,

This has happened to me too. For the past month, after I take my first HNS of the day, I get diarrhea. I get it after the second one too and then I'm fine.

I'm also using the Proti-Diet brand which is the same as MRC except for the packaging.

It's very inconvenient and I didn't have this problem until recently.

I hope they don't discontinue concentrates--I'm willing to put up with this since it's helping me lose.

BTW, does anyone know at what weight you decrease your HNS from four to three a day?

200 lbs. It's when you go from the beige menu to the green. I only know this because I switched menus about two weeks ago. :)

pnvomaha 05-04-2011 10:16 PM

Is there anything else you can take rather than HNS? It's just getting so expensive since I try to do 5 a day. Help.

Mrc Chocolate Brownie Recipie

I went to my center for class tonight and they were selling a "new" product. (I don't know if it is new to MRC or just new to our center) but it is a chololate drink that contains antioxidents and probiotics (more than in yogurt). I can have 1 scoop a day for "free" or 2 scoops can replace my fruit. (No way I'm turning down "free" chocolate). It also came with the following recipie for MRC Chocolate Brownies (this is from the center). I will try it tonight and let you know what I think, but I just had to share this info!

1 pkg double chocolate pudding (can use hot coco instead if out of the pudding)
3 Tbs water
1/2 tsp olive oil
1 scoop Super Chocolate
1 packet sweetener (optional)

Instructions:
Stir ingredents together and put in a bowl in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.

I can't wait to try this!

Tried the brownie recipie and it was AWESOME! It tasted like brownies. . . I used the double-chocolate pudding and I forgot the sweetener packet and it was still amazing. The mix is pretty dry and 30 seconds was the perfect cooking time - I ate it warm and it was gooey - I have a new favorite!

They may be using another type of sweetener, that I am allergic to. Will have to look at ingredients..

Is this recipe in MRC Cookbook? I really would like to make something like that for a treat.

Thanks

Mariah-- My center started selling that chocolate stuff a couple months ago. Someone else mentioned, though, that it's going to be a limited-time product--they aren't always going to carry it.

I'm confused as to my latest measurements. When I went in Tuesday (and was up 1 lb, grrr), it was time for my monthly tanita and measurements. The tanita reading showed normal changes, but even though I'd lost close to 10 lbs in a month, for the first time my inches didn't change almost at all. Weird. Especially weird because my clothes have also gotten a little looser in the last month, too. I wondered if it might be because a different gal was measuring, but it's still weird.

Although, a lack of decresase in my bust may have been because I wasn't paying attention last time and was wearing a sports bra and this time I wasn't. But that doesn't explain the other parts of my body.

Teacherlady is right. You can go down to 3 HNS a day on the green menu (200 lbs. & below), however, you can still safely do 4 supplements a day which is what I've been doing. At the top of the green sheet, it reads, "For best results, you may add as many as two extra high nutrient supplements each day for a total of 4 per day and up to three mixed fruit fiber plus beverages per day."

I'm no longer obese!!!!!!

It still seems surreal that technically, that's what I was. But according to my scale and the BMI calculator, this morning, my BMI is now 29.8.

I never thought I'd be so happy to be "overweight." ;)

That has to be an amazing feeling!! I'm technically morbidly obese.. so I guess I will be doing a jig when I become "obese". And then I'll do a Cha-Cha when I'm "overweight". :D

Keep up the great work!

Here's what I have:

Yellow = Meta-Slim Days 1 - 4
Blue = Meta-Slim Days 5 - 10
Green = Meta-Slim (Days 11 & up)
Beige = Meta-Slim Plus (for clients 200 lbs. & up)
White = Meta-Quick (Plateau busting menu where you have a shake or meal replacement bar in place of breakfast & lunch)

Trying to plan ahead is SO hard!

I will be sitting at my booth Friday & Saturday from 10am-9pm. I probably won't have much relief tomorrow but Saturday my mom is going to come up for a while. Not sure how drinking all this water and going to the bathroom will work. I'm planning on making all my drinks and taking a bar for lunch and then something that won't have to be heated for dinner... just don't know what that's going to be. I'm going to make a shake, just in case, I don't have time to actually eat a meal.

This is an indoor/outdoor craft fair - I'm sure there will be food vendors.. so staying away from kettle corn and hot dogs will be challenging but I'm gonna do it!

When I have to go somewhere where I can't heat up my supper, I take a chicken sandwich with mustard. That's one meat that I don't mind eating cold, like deli meat. Of course, you can always do deli meat; my center told me it was okay as long as I didn't do it all the time because of the excess sodium.

enniecat 05-05-2011 11:32 AM

Thanks for the info on the meal plans. One more question. The beige for people over 200 lbs. I am assuming you stay on that until you are under 200 lbs. Correct?

pnvomaha 05-05-2011 01:00 PM

First day back totally OP. I have got to get over my temptations! It is so hard! AHHHHH! I've been going up which is definitely NOT the right direction!

I'm at the car place and there are bags of freebie chips--I won't eat it. I won't eat it. I'll take the apple instead!

Are you all as mentally insane as me when it comes to food?!!! Help!
