Don't be so hard on yourself. Just remember that is a lifelong commitment, not short term, and these days are going to happen. I believe this program is good enough that even with these cheat days, as long as you get back on track, you still lose. |
Hi Everyone, Well got home from a 10 day vacation on Mon. Evening. I weighed at home on Tues. and my scale was 1 lb. up. I did not think that was too bad. Went for W/I today and was down 1/2 lb. Thats 20 1/2 lbs. If I had not been on this diet I probably would have gained 10 lbs.

Question re: flying and our drinks
I am heading out for a vacation in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone had encountered any problems with taking the HNS with them? I have a stopover, so my travel day is just over 7 hours. I was just curious about what anyone has dealt with, or even if it is given a second glance. I will only take two concentrates, so I wouldn't think it would be an issue.
Thanks. |

I tried my first powdered meal replacement and it was aweful! I love chocolate and that is the flavor I have but it was way too thick even with extra water... any suggestions on making it tastier?

daizy - there are lots of recipes for making them into smoothies maybe that would help...I have never tried the meal replacement drinks! Good luck!

I also go to the Highlands Ranch center and my goal weight changed because they figured out about half way through my weight loss that the Tanita wasn't measuring my body fat % correctly. Once they figured out I needed to be entered in as an "Athlete" I had already surpassed the body fat % goal of 26%...I was down to 24% at that time. My intital goal weight was 143 in order to reach 26% but that was measuring me as "Normal" and not "Athelete". At 24% I weighed 157 I think. At 152 I'm somewhere between 19%-21% body fat. Also, make sure they are being consistent when entering in your info in to the Tanita. Each time they enter in your age, height and goal body fat %. Make sure that goal body fat % they enter is always the same. One time Shery entered 21% for me instead of 26% and it really screwed up my reading since I had been consistantly been entered as goal of 26%. |

I flew in June/July with a couple HNS concentrates in my purse, and it was no problem. My center suggested taking a box (folded down) the HNS come in just in case you questioned about what it really is. Since were gone for about 10 days, I had quite of few HNS in my suitcase in a plastic bowl with a lid. I put a folded HNS box in the bowl in case my bag was inspected, and sure enough it was. I imagine all those little packets of liquid could have looked like something questionable on the scan. I also took an apple, zip loc bag with cucumbers, and 1 of those foil packets of tuna in my purse, too, and that wasn't a problem either. The TSA web site says you can take your lunch through security. Hope that helps! Oh, and I also had a couple of the individual serving packets of Walden Farms dressing in my purse, and none of it was a problem. |
