I really love this program! I just got through walking 3 miles (I am doing Walk away the pounds DVDs) and feel great.

Hey Rosemary,
I go to the Macon MRC. Don't you just LOVE Nikki, Sunday and Feclicia? They are very motivating!

Well, happy Monday to all and I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Congratulations!! Great job!

Namaste--I made your taco casserole today. I had a steak and spinach for dinner tonight because my iron has been low and I've been dragging all day, but tomorrow I'll indulge in the taco casserole. I had a tiny taste when it came out of the oven and gosh, was it good! It was pretty easy, too!

Hey you! I'm so glad you made the taco casserole. I can't wait to hear how you like it.... after having it for a meal! It's still my favorite, after all this time!

I too love pea coats! AND!!!! I was at the thrift store this weekend, and found one in perfect condition! AND! It was a size 10!!! What the? Oh... and it FIT! What the??? So freaky. Anyway, I bought it of course. I think it's big for a 10, because I'm in a 14 pant and a xl top, but who cares!!! It said 10! Haha! Check out the thrift stores if you get a chance, you sometimes can find a great steal!

I have been really struggling recently. Yesterday I feel like I finally had a break through. I spent an hour talking to one of the counselors at my center and I am so appreciative of it.

As of today I am no longer morbidly obese. I think that is pretty exciting!

I thought the same about ever being in a 14/16. I couldn't remember the last time I was in one (High School)? Anyway, I'm there.... I'm in a 14. You can totally do it.

Congrats on no longer being "morbidly" obese. I still remember the day I was out of that range, and it felt so darn good!

You are doing it!!! Keep going friend!

I have only lost 2 lbs each week for the past two weeks. I am only in week three of the program! I am very discouraged and feel I am wasting money. WHAT can I do to increase the loss? I never cheat.

Even though I didn't follow the program exactly while I was gone, it certainly did get me thinking about what I put in my mouth and making better choices. I know I can keep the weight off now.

After I got back from Africa, my mom started having problems and was diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to her brain. She's staying strong-we all are (at least trying). So, I have been traveling back to Chicago to visit whenever I can. I'm going back for Turkey Day and know that's going to be a tough food choice day! On a good note, I got promoted and moved to a new position while I was gone, but I have to learn a new job. I've got a lot going on and have been soooo stressed, but I need to get back to the center to take the last 25 pounds off. I'm just trying to find the motivation to start back up again. I know I can find it here!

I've taken some time to read up on everyone and I can't believe how amazing everybody's results are! You are all an inspiration and just what I need right now! It's so good to be back! :D

So sorry to hear about your Mom. We went through the same thing last year with my father in law. Enjoy eachother.

Congratus on being promoted and the new position!

Congrats on your loss and hope to chat with you later.

Hi Katy,

I am so very sorry to hear about your mother! I went through the same with my mother in July. Take extra time to just be together as much as possible.
Mom and I were always close but during that short time, we had some of our best 'talks'.

Know that you and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers!

And how much would you have lost if you weren't on the program? You're doing great! You can't expect to lose 3-5 lbs every week. You don't have a lot to lose to begin with - people who lose 5 lbs a week are people who have a LOT of weight to lose or who were retaining a LOT of water (but once that water goes they slow down to fat loss speed, which is slower).

If you aren't cheating, try adding some exercise, or bumping it up a little if you're already exercising. Doesn't take anything strenuous, walking will do just fine (it does for me). And make sure you're getting in all your water. If you eat a lot of restaurant food that'll slow things down a bit because of the additional sodium - won't stop fat loss but it'll show up on the scale. And stop stressing over it - that makes you retain water too! (It's amazing how many things make us retain water that you'd never think about...)

Some weeks you'll lose less, some you'll lose more. And hang on, because you should be hitting a plateau any time now - it's the standard first plateau we all hit within the first month or so. Be realistic - you aren't a machine, you can't program your body to lose at the rate you want it to - it'll release the weight at its own rate. But stick with the program, drink your water, get in some exercise, and it WILL release the weight. Truth is, you're doing great - you're already down 10 lbs!!! :carrot:

Thanks for the encouragement. I lost 5lbs during the pre-conditioning so I don't really count that I have only lost the other 5 during the program. I do feel like I have lost more inches than pounds. I will try bumping up the exercise. I just didn't expect to hit a plataeu so fast.

I too had that very same problem. I started taking the cort-trim and now have had a few much larger wt losses. So, either the pills helped or it takes a month for the program to really start working for some of us. Hang in there!
