50 lbs GONE!! Geez luweez I'm frozen! I have been walking a mile in the morning after taking the kids to school and I think the spit froze to my teeth! I have also been walking a mile in the afternoon before picking up kids and a mile at night after they go to bed. I been doing the bowflex and the ab lounger. I cleaned out my closet the other day and tried on some clothes, some of them I thought surely would not fit but actually they were too big, woo hoo. I officially have the saggy butt in the jeans syndrome, I need to go shopping. I am in 16's now and the butts in them are starting to sag too, 14's here I come! I am losing my boobs too (poor girls I will miss you) but well worth it. I had rather keep the butt and boobs and lose the belly instead, but, Ill take it. My boobs stick out farther than my belly, thats something I have not seen in years. I got a new tatoo to celebrate 50 lbs lost. Its a rose and the stem curls into a C for my maiden name and there are three butterflies a bigger blue one for my son, a medium purple one for my oldest daughter and a smaller pink one for my youngest daughter, I got it right over my heart (yup hurt like ****) but its pretty. Hope everyone is doing well!

Katy

I completely understand!

I would try the recipe thread first. There might be something there that is of interest to you. The cookbook also has some good ideas.

I like to do things that you can make ahead. I will use the pancake recipe from the thread (the one without an HNS) and then pair it with the turkey sausage in the cookbook. I also make french toast ahead and freeze it. You can easily reheat it in the toaster. I know a number of people on the board do cheese toast for breakfast. Smoothies using cottage cheese are popular as well.

Hope this helps!!

Apologies if someone else has already answered this question--I am catching up on a week of posts! My directions say to add 2 cups of cold water and blend on high speed for 30 seconds. I usually use ice for about half the water, and I also add a berry HNS for extra flavor.

THanks!

My Favorites:
French toast
eggs w/ toast
Pancakes w/out the HNS
Make scrambled eggs & Sprinkle a little cheese on them and then warm your corn tortilla until it's crispy and slide the eggs on.
A lot of mornings I'll do MRB b/c I'm in a hurry

Good luck!

The first plateau DOES come early - mine started on day 8 & lasted about 10 days. You should've gotten paperwork about those early plateaus. (But if you lost 2 lbs a week you haven't plateaued yet.) And those first 5 lbs certainly DO count - girlfriend, you are trying to sell yourself short! When you change your eating habits it makes a difference! If you did a week of pre-conditioning you have lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks - that is over 3 lbs a week. Give yourself some credit here! ;)

I think I have officially hit my plateau... I only .5 this week! I am not discouraged though, you have inspired me to keep going!

I too had that very same problem. I started taking the cort-trim and now have had a few much larger wt losses. So, either the pills helped or it takes a month for the program to really start working for some of us. Hang in there!

Do you take the MR6 as well? I have been taking that from the start.

Hey you! I'm so glad you made the taco casserole. I can't wait to hear how you like it.... after having it for a meal! It's still my favorite, after all this time!

I too love pea coats! AND!!!! I was at the thrift store this weekend, and found one in perfect condition! AND! It was a size 10!!! What the? Oh... and it FIT! What the??? So freaky. Anyway, I bought it of course. I think it's big for a 10, because I'm in a 14 pant and a xl top, but who cares!!! It said 10! Haha! Check out the thrift stores if you get a chance, you sometimes can find a great steal!

Hi Denise! I had the taco casserole for dinner last night and it was sooo yummy! I think it may become a staple, especially since we are now getting some cooler weather. It is so nice to have something already prepared that I can just microwave--it also keeps me from stuffing my face with everything within arm's reach when I get too hungry from a workout! This casserole is so tasty, too. You continue to impress me with your inventiveness. I served it with brussels sprouts, which are my new favorite veggie now that I have found them in individual steamer servings at the grocery store. Who knew brussels sprouts were actually tasty?

I'm so impressed with your thrift store find, btw! I really need to take my old clothes to the one at the end of the street. I have such a hard time parting with things, though. I feel guilty for not completely using them up, but for heaven's sake...the stuff is way too big now!

I swear, if you're in a smaller size before me...I'll shoot myself!! My best friends that I grew up with..."4 sisters" were all 5'10" or taller...all of them! They always teased me...(in a nice way :)) that I was much too big for my height! Apparently, I should have listened to them! And seriously, Diane Sawyer?...she soooo knows that TV adds tons of weight...to the real picture! :)

Gosh, Carrie! That sounds serious! I'll try not to get in a smaller size than you. ;) I think I may have to correct myself on the Diane Sawyer issue. I believe she is 20 lbs lower than what has been recommended as my bottom limit, but when I looked up the height-weight chart for 5'10", the range was 135-174. She might have just squeezed into that lower limit, but I'm telling you that she's got to have much smaller bones than I do! Seriously, though, I'm thinking about lowering my goal to 160 to see what happens. I wasn't terribly uncomfortable in my size 14's today, but I found myself wrestling with them all day. I didn't feel good in them.

Hey Deborah.... I think you might be crazy....:dizzy: haha! I just clicked on the blue hyperlink above (the one that says >metabolic research center and it was displayed all of our threads.... the recipe thread was the top one.

Maybe there was a system issue earlier?
