I got to sign the 25lb board today! WOW Okay so I set a hefty goal for this month to lose the last 17 lbs so I can stabalize during December before we move!! Wish me luck! I started spinning 3 days a week so I'm hoping that will help to boost the weight loss.
Have a great week everyone and good luck on your weigh in's!
Tina

DOH! I can't believe I didn't think of this before - check out spark people dot com (all one word) - you can put in your daughter's weight & goal weight, they'll put together an eating plan for her or she can just input what she eats and track her calories. It will track calories, protein/fat/carbs, pretty much anything you want it to track. It will also track exercise - either putting together an exercise program or you can track whatever plan you put together yourself. All for free. GREAT site.

That's so funny.....I belong to Spark People and I didn't even think of it either! Thanks for the reminder, that's a great idea!

Question

I'm really new, and I have no idea what all of the correct terms are, but have a question. I signed up last Friday and am on my "preconditioning" list (I think that's what it is called). Have you all lost weight during this time? Did you start the pills at this time? What happens when I go to my meeting where I find out more..I'm assuming I'll understand the green, cream, etc menus? Any advice?

Meemo, this is a neat website. Thanks for sharing it! I spent more time than I had this evening reading the thread on eating healthy on a budget and will definitely include it in my daily rotation.

What she could do to start is to just put in what she eats daily for a week or two - it might be a good way to see where she's maybe getting extra calories she could cut out or make substitutions to reduce her calorie intake.

Did you see how it was founded? Neat story there - when I first heard about it there was a video about it, don't know if it's still there...

I put her info. in last night to start an account for her on Sparkpeople and they wouldn't let her join because she is under 18 but they have Teen Sparkpeople for kids her age. It's totally made for kids health needs and they tell you how many calories you have to eat. You can't adjust that (which is good for kids) but you can specify how many carbs, fat etc. you want to eat. It still gives you daily meals, fitness tracker and all the other Sparkpeople benefits. I think it will be exactly what I'm looking for and she'll like it because its all on the computer! Thanks again, Meemo!

I liked the challenge that someone had suggested for the Halloween mini goal. I was just shy of hitting the mark but the smaller goal was a helpful since the final number still seems pretty far away. I'm setting another mini goal for Thanksgiving of 12 lbs. Anyone else up for a new challenge?

Rdy2Lose: That is so awesome! You rock! Keep up the good work. Setting a Thanksgiving mini goal is a stellar idea!

Hello, Everyone I wanted to introduce myself, I'm a 30 year old female who has been 50pds over weight for the past 9 years I've tried everything from pills to WW and nothing has ever worked. I'm a new member of 3fatchicks and also MRC I joined MRC 13 days ago and was very skeptical b/c the cost was so...... much but I got over that when I went in for my last WI and I had lost 4.5 pds in 9 days, I really think this program might be the one for me. Before I even joined MRC I was researching it, and stumbled on this site for the last 2 weeks I've been reading how supportive you all are to each other and I find It absoluetly heart warming. No wonder you all are doing so well with your weight loss you have the best support system I ever seen (eachother). I hope I'm able to help you along the Weight lose journey like you have all helped me start mine. Jo

We went to the Heart Dr. Great News he said her Heart was good, not so good news he said all her problems is from the spot on her top left lung, He said right now her body is not attacking it and they do not want to go in there until they have to, So in a few weeks we will redo the CT scan to see what it is doing. So we –r- still not out of the woods yet….. Thank you for all your Prayers and please keep them up……

I'm glad Alex's heart is okay, but sorry to hear about that spot. Do they know what it is? That's gotta be so scary. We'll keep thinking about you and Alex and your family.
