It feels good. I feel like a different person; correction.... I feel like the person who was trapped inside and now is free. My average is 3lbs a week so I hope to get to my goal soon. I am resigning for another 10 weeks on Thursday. Love ya girl!

Denise- Your blog is amazing! You have done such an amazing job. It was great to read your reasons why. One of my friends was just asking me the other day why I finally decided to do this! She does bio-feedback and loves to hear why people finally make that jump. She and I have been discussing why I haven't been able to lose weight for about 2 years now. If I had only listened to her a couple of years ago it may have saved me 20 lbs. But it had to be my decision to make a life change!
Anyways thanks for the inspiration!
Tina

Thank you, it's been a process and I'm glad to be here now. I've learned a lot about myself! I agree, it had to be your decision... and that's what we all need. When you get "there", it's because you decide to change. And, I wouldn't trade the past for anything.... it's my path, and who I am....

I'm sure I already asked this.... are you at the Ft Collins center? Or Greeley? I'm at Greeley.

Well I just did the first day of the Couch to 5K program...it wasn't bad except for those itchy/tingly legs and feet that I always have when I haven't been to the gym in a couple of weeks. I think next time will be much easier. I actually think that I didn't work as hard as I do on the elliptical, but I suppose that will change once the running segments last longer than 60 seconds. I love the elliptical but fear my body has become bored w/ it, so I'm trying to shake things up.

Anyone else up for starting the C25K with me? It's a 9 week program but I'm sure some extra weeks will be added due to the holidays. I'm hoping that the extra exercise will help me stay focused on resisting temptations through Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Denise-
I'm at the Fort Collins Center! I live outside of Windsor but do most of my work in Fort Collins so it makes it easier to go there. I do get over to Greeley quite a bit throughout the month though! Depends upon meetings with the county etc...

Hi Deborah--
For breakfast I've rotated between French toast (sans the Splenda), the MRC pancakes (sans the Splenda), scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cheese toast, and splitting my protein between cheese & egg. My favorite is the cheese toast, but I think I get hungry before lunch with that option. I also really like the pancakes and they are fast & hold me till lunch but the clean-up on pancake making day is a bear. (I try to make a week's worth at a time to justify the clean-up.) I want to try the cheesecake.

For lunch, I often have rotisserie chicken with sliced tomatoes & cucumbers & an apple. I also like to have a salad with grilled chicken & salsa. If you are at home, grilled tilapia is fast & easy and good with steamed green beans. Sargento has a sharp cheddar cheese stick that I love, love, love, and sometimes I'll supplement my protein with that.

Sometimes for dinner (especially if I've been working out), my stomach needs filler. That's a good time to cook unbreaded chicken tenders and eat them with a bag of lettuce. (It's a lot of lettuce and not much else, but it provides bulk and I feel satiated.) It's also hard to beat a plain old grilled chicken breast. Have you tried the MRC "fried chicken" yet? It's tasty, too. So are the turkey tacos. And, I am always excited about sirloin night! And my new "thing" is the individual servings of brussels sprouts from Birdseye steamers. They are fast and surprisingly good!

Hope this helps! You are doing great!

I am trying meta quick for the first time today. My center doesn't really push that so I am doing it on my own. With advice from you girls.
I wonder why my center discourages that? Any thoughts?
Does it mess up your metabolism?
What is it supposed to do besides be really low calorie?

Shake & HNS for breakfast, bar & HNS for lunch and regular dinner. Do I have it right? I can have up to 4 HNS including one creamy?

My center doesn't offer it, but I got the menu from here. I think they don't encourage it because they do want you to learn how to eat correctly and metaquick really doesn't do that. However, I've found it helpful during my many months on the program. I did not use the bars though (although you can) but I found the shakes filled me up more. I actually like MQ because at certain points, I just have gotten tired of food--something I never thought I'd say!:D

I haven't been on for about a week now--my father has been sick and we were scared that it might be something serious however after a multitude of tests, it turns out his blood pressure medicine was too high of a dosage. He's feeling much better now, but at one point we thought he would have to have surgery for artery blockage, which had us all concerned. My parents live just a mile from us, so I've been busy with them and just haven't had a chance to check in!
So HUGE congrats to all of the great losses out there--the support and enthusiasm here is contagious :D

I had my stabilization party on Monday which was not much fun! I thought it was going to be something really fun but when we got there we had to WI--I was not happy as I go to WI in the mornings and wear my WI clothes--this was 6PM at night and I had on very heavy clothes. I found that a bit demoralizing as did others there. Then it was into a room for a lecture on the program and more stuff they were selling. All in all, not a party in the true sense of the word ;) However, they did do after photos which I hope to see sometime!

Finz-
Sorry to hear about your dad! We will keep him in our prayers that he recovers quickly.
Also sorry to hear about your stabilization! What a let down. I was under the same impression that it was a big party. I'll need to remember to bring light clothes when I get there!! I hate weighing in with heavy clothes on!
But remember you can have your own party and celebrate this huge accomplishment!:carrot:
