My goal is to be in the 120s by next Thursday. Monday would be good, but Thursday at the latest. I still have 125 as a goal for my b-day which is 2 weeks away. So, that's 6.5 lbs in 2 weeks! I know I can do it, but it won't be easy, esp with being in the last 10 lbs to lose range.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.
Rocki: Congrats on the 40 lb board, which is my next goal. I know you've had some ups and downs, but look how far you've come. I'm still using your progress and success as my motivator. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get to your birthday goal. You must look and feel fantastic!

OK... Can someone enlighten me on what Runza is? I've never heard of it. But I'm feeling like I've missed out on something wonderful.

WOW! You had your hands full!!! Triplets - Oh My! My youngest 2 are 14 months apart and there was a stretch of about 4 years that I thought I would lose my mind on a near daily basis! I can't imagine triplets, let alone 6 so close in age through the teens!? I totally admire you - you give me renewed confidence!

I almost feel a little guilty for bringing it up here because it is wonderful...but oh so bad! When I told everyone I was moving to Nebraska (several years ago), everyone from Nebraska told me that I had to try this restaurant called Runza. It's like a Brahm's without the ice cream, if I remember correctly. The restaurant is named for the runza sandwich, which every life-long Nebraskan's grandmother seems to have the perfect recipe for. Here's the amazing part: you get this perfectly fluffy loaf/bun filled with a yummy, cheesy meat mixture! One of the great mysteries for those of us who don't have a Nebraskan grandmother is how they get the meat mixture in the middle--I remember the bun as being near perfect. This used to keep me awake at night.

I hear you - I lived on cheetos & Krispy Kreme donuts from the vending machines in the dorms in college. And greasy burgers and, well, pretty much nothing particularly healthy at all. And weighed all of 115 lbs. And thought I needed to lose weight, deluded child that I was...

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the nice compliments. I do feel good and healthy. My annual physical is next month, and I can only imagine my doctor's surprise, not to mention the change in lab results.

As an FYI, I just had a PM from Miss Gigi. She's back from Korea and hopes to get back to this forum soon. I really missed her. Would still like to hear back from 3MonkeysMomma and see Angieroo post again. Those three and several other MIAs sure kept things lively and encouraging. I hope they may be lurking and will join us again.

Hi everyone! My fiance and I did MRC Jan.-May of 07 and both lost around 30 lbs. I kept all of mine off and he only gained 10 or so lbs. We are now back on the "plan" but w/o the center. We ordered our proteins offline and have done great our first week. We still had a ton of left over protein and puddings from before (we stock pilled..lol) so that is what we are trying to use up now. Does anyone know if there have been any advancements or changes since spring of 2007. Wish us luck.

I am only trying to remember what we ate for dinner besides chicken.. Gosh it has gotten old very quickly.

You are absolutely right there. I haven't been in, but apparently my pictures are plastered all over the Destin Center. I have folks tell me they saw me all the time. Yes, it does help MRC when people see me and can see that it is possible to keep the weight off & look great.

I remember just about the time the Destin center opened that I saw something in the news about the FL govt. trying to crack down on companies making 'outrageous' weight loss claims. That was also around the time that MRC went from claiming 2 lbs. per week to 3-5. At the time, I wondered if they'd get reviewed. I'm SURE they have to have the statistics to back up those claims, at least here. I don't know how about other state regulations.

pbolton1..Are you doing MRC again now? I see your pic from '05 and you look amazing! Did you gain some of your weight back? Sorry, I should know this, but I got behind! Also, 3 hours @ the gym! OMG! What do you DO for 3 hours?? My dh would have a fit if I was at the gym for 3 hours and he was home with the kids!

[/QUOTE]

I go back OP every now and again when I gain a bit. I am up 14 lbs. right now after too many vacations, house guests, etc. I hope to have the majority of it off before the next vacation in Sept. I'd LOVE to lose another 5-10 over that, but I've never managed to get that far.

When I'm not OP, I usually try to follow a typical bodybuilder's diet. Very similar to MRC actually, but I think easier for my head to grasp

Hubby is working this weekend, my kids are grown, too hot to play outside....I love being at the gym. I don't typically stay three hours, but it is quite easy for me to do. Lifted weights a bit over two hours and then the treadmill for a while. I try to watch the clock & get done quicker, but when I'm not in a hurry, I tend to daydream a lot. The gym is so much better than coming home to housework (and readily available food).

Rocki - All I can say is God's Grace, I have no other explanation. The course of those years had me on a roller coaster with my weight, up down up down, eventually ending up 70lbs heavier then when I started the single momma venture. I'm now very happily married to the best man in the world.

Good for you on making 131, I can't wait till I can see even 140 on my scale, my goal for MRC is 140 but I think that will be adjusted as I get closer to it, "my" goal is 130. Good for you, I do hope you will post an updated photo for us to see, it is so encouraging.
