Same here - I always told them "I don't want to be thin - I want to be a healthy weight". They should really rethink that particular question.

I think I bought the vanilla pudding once - and always had it for lunch & added some berries to it - strawberries or blueberries.

But on a brighter and slightly amazing note. I have dropped another 10 inches in a little over 2 weeks. That's since I started the weights again. They did tell me that I should cut the weights altogether if I want to see the pounds go down. And they said reduce the cardio to only twice a week for 45 mins a time. My b/f has gone down in 2 weeks from 27 to 26 and my fat percentage went from 39 to 38. That is in 2 weeks! Makes me wanna keep doing the weights and not worry about the pounds right now since the numbers are looking much better. What would you all do?
Here's another vote for sticking with the weights If you quit now, then most of the weight you lose will be muscle instead of fat. Get rid of the fat! I've been there, and eventually the plateau will end. If aren't drinking all the HNS you are allowed, do it. Your muscles really want that protein, and it will get you out of that plateau.

(Just returned from my 3 hr. session at the gym. Yup, I'm obsessive, but I absolutely LOVE it)

Hello,

Thanks so much everyone for your advice. I really felt this is what I should do, but you know they say they know best at the center. HA HA!!! I guess in some cases, that's just not true. You guys are wonderful! I'd probably go berserk without this board!!!

Default Pondering MRC's position on Exercise

Thinking about it more, it seems that MRC's stance on exercise & building muscles would not be to THEIR advantage. They make specific claims about how much weight their clients lose, and that has to be backed up with verifiable statistics. So, if all their clients started exercising like crazy & gaining muscle (hence losing fat slower) then they'd have to lower their claims. I suppose they could focus their advertising more on BMI or % fat lost, but most folks want to hear pounds.

Bye Bye 170s, 160s, 150's and FINALLY 140s! WI in today took me to 139, which also meant I got to sign the 35 lb board! That means only 9 lbs to goal. I'm so pumped, with a 2 lb loss for the week.

GMa - You look fabulous!!! I just love it when we get new photo's posted. And size 8 my goodness I'd be dancing too

Callmemom and Maintain I have 3 children, not sure what was hardest raising them by myself for 19 years or witnessing thier own struggles that I can not fix for them. Being a Mom can be so hard sometimes.

Well, they know what will get the numbers down on the scale - but it ain't all about the numbers on the scale. You go girl - teach them the lesson!

That's true - of course having clients walking around looking fabulous & fit and telling people that that got that way with MRC is also to their advantage. But you're probably right - they need the stats to back up their advertising.

Denise I tried the soft taco recipe tonight as well as the salsa, it was most delicious, oh my goodness!!! Highly recommended, the salsa is exactly the same salsa as my favorite mexican resturant serves. I'm super excited about that because now I can have it at home. mmmmm mmmm good

Keep up the hard work and it will pay off. It's hard to really "see" the change in ourselves sometimes. I just finally had pictures taken in the last week that I really liked of myself (and dh). It's taken me a long time to not think I look "fat" in pics anymore too!

Have a great time & hope the choices work for you!

Oh, FINZ!! Congrats on that 70 lb board!! That's so great! Also, I'm glad to hear about your friend and her not having to resign.

Heatherren..Congrats on 3 more lbs lost!

Gina..Keep it up and you'll get through this darn plateau! You KNOW you can do it.

Theycallmemom..You profile says you have 4 - 20 year olds. Please enlighten us. I'm sorry to hear about your one son. I hope he finds his way soon. That's got to be so hard. My heart breaks when my 5 year old is sad b/c of her feelings getting hurt at school. I can't imagine how difficult this is for you. Try to stay strong and be there for him as much as you can and be there for yourself as well. Don't let this ruin all that you're doing for yourself.

Wogchica..Thanks for the pancake recipe. I don't think I noticed that one before so I think I'll try it tomorrow.

I was NOT a fan of the vanilla pudding the first time i tried it, I also threw it out However, there is an awesome recipe for pancakes in the morning with the creamies!! Mix one vanilla creamy with an egg, 1/4th cup of oats, 1 splenda, and water (until it is at pancake consistency) then cook it like you would a normal pancake (minus the butter and syrup ) It is one of my favorite breakfasts!! Just make sure you're making another egg on the side so you get all of your breakfast protein in for that meal... I like to put wildberry or grape concentrate on my pancake as syrup... sooooo good!
Everything will work out... all things happen for a reason and even though we can't understand why or how at this point in the end it will all be clear... Keep your chin up and stay motivated!
Thelish..What does your screen name stand for?? Also, your new avatar looks great! You look SO different and thinner! Thanks for the cinnamon bread/toast idea. I'll have to try that. Congrats on 1.5 more pounds!

Jenny..I'm with everyone else, keep up the weight training and cardio more than 2x per week. I wish I was exercising like you! UGH! I hardly ever make myself go to the gym anymore. I have to get back on track so I can tone up all this flab! Congrats on the inches lost and the body fat #s. You're doing great!

pbolton1..Are you doing MRC again now? I see your pic from '05 and you look amazing! Did you gain some of your weight back? Sorry, I should know this, but I got behind! Also, 3 hours @ the gym! OMG! What do you DO for 3 hours?? My dh would have a fit if I was at the gym for 3 hours and he was home with the kids!

dkriley..YAY for you raising 3 kids alone! I don't know how people do it (although they do it every day). I have 2 kids and a husband and I don't even work full-time and I'm stressed to the max!

Personal Update!!

Hey ladies (and a few guys). Check out my ticker! I WI today and was down another 1.5lbs to 131.5. This got me to the 40lb board! WOOHOO!! I was so excited. My goal is to be in the 120s by next Thursday. Monday would be good, but Thursday at the latest. I still have 125 as a goal for my b-day which is 2 weeks away. So, that's 6.5 lbs in 2 weeks! I know I can do it, but it won't be easy, esp with being in the last 10 lbs to lose range.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Mmmmm....Runza. I'm an Omaha girl and just hearing the name makes my mouth water some. I lived on those and Godfather's pizza all through high school - don't I wish I could still eat like that! Ha!
