Default Are you changing your look?

I've noticed that alot of people that reached goal have changed their hairstyles. I was wondering how many people planned to change thier look when they reach goal? I'm blonde and always had long hair when I was younger. I've cut it to shoulder length for the last 10 years or so. When I picture myself with all the weight gone I always picture myself with long hair, so I'm growing it out. Anyone else plan to change things up a little to go with the new body?

I have noticed that I am attracted to more flamboyant and daring colors and styles than I used to buy. I think when I was at my highest weight, I didn't want to be noticed and now I don't care. I am considering growing my hair out.

Well, I cut my butt length hair just before I started this journey because it was thinning out so much (later discovered it was thyroid trouble). The only rerql change is thwtnim wearing form-fitting clothes because they are the most flattering and I bought a few pairs of summer heels whereas I've always worn something like Keens. I still plants be my normal self, but will be a bit more fun with the wardrobe in my smaller size.

I can't really imagine changing my hair all that much. I still love it. Every few years or so I do get it highlighted and I am due for another round so I might do that.

Like berryblondeboys I really have changed my clothing style. I'm wearing tighter clothes now when I probably wouldn't be caught dead in them before.

Yes! I used to wear my hair pulled back in a ponytail every day. Now I have sideswept bangs and usually curl it all and leave it down . I used to wear jeans/tees every day, too. I'm branching out to skirts and dresses and more fitted tops.

Definitely. I've been growing out my hair. It almost reaches the small of my back now and I have no immediate plans to cut it. I figure that when I reach goal I'll have a lot of options as I'll be able to do pretty much anything with it. I think being able to change your look is one of the great motivators for losing weight, so keep growing out yours!

I have always had longish blonde hair, but tomorrow I have an appointment to get it all chopped off. Like serious short pixie style. Iīve never had short hair and am so excited. I might also change the color, or do new highlights. I hope I donīt look like a dork.

I think itīs really important to change your style, and feel as good outside as you do inside with your new body.

My husband and I have a deal: He keeps his military length, and I keep mine long. So my hair stays. lol

But my clothing style has changed, and continues to evolve. More short skirts, more cute dresses, more color (less black), more kitten heels. Just basically stuff that's more feminine and shows off my figure more. I finally feel good about my body, so I might as well enjoy it!

yes- i no longer feel the need to primp, and preen myself forever. my style has always been good- but now i feel like i wear plainer clothes with a little more colour, just throw it on, and it looks fantastic.

i have always worn 4inch+ heels, even at nearly 270 lbs when they hurt, now, i can wear them all day without a care. i wear less makeup, plainer jewelery, and feel much less materialistic - i no longer need to have the hottest styled clothing in order to be noticed, I am just noticed. so biggest change? confidence.

That's exciting! I don't have the courage to try the pixie do but have always wanted to. I bet it will look great!

I have definitely changed the way I dress, especially at work. We work in a
"business casual" office but I have been dressing more business - cute suits, both pants and skirts. I got rid of a ton of clothes this past weekend, I have no choice now but to dress nice! I have also been on a shoe kick, I got rid of most of my old ones and have added a bunch of new ones in the past year.

I could definitely use a new hairstyle. I have always been kinda a tomboy so I never really learned how to style my hair plus I am lazy. I have owned a hair straightener for the past 2 years and just used it for the first time this weekend

I was actually contemplating getting bangs. I have long hair and I really like it, but it can get boring, I feel like it has no dimension to it. So maybe bangs and a few layers. I'm also considering making it a brighter red. It had a reddish color now, but I want it to "pop" more, I would even go as far as dying it orange.

As for the clothes, lately I've getting into a younger looking style, bought a pair of light grey high converse shoes and I really want to get them in black as well. I've been also wearing flower head bans, I don't know what's up with that, maybe some inspiration from Lana del Rey?

I envy you! wish I had the hair for a pixie cut! If I get it cut short like that I'll wind up with an afro.

I haven't changed my hair at all yet. Remains to be seen if I will when I get down to goal. It's funny though because if you looked at my starting pictures you would think I had indeed changed it. I've always had long red hair with sideswept bangs but right around my highest weight I decided to go shorter and brunette with full across bangs. I've since gone back to my original look.

My clothing style hasn't really changed but this is largely due to the fact that I haven't bought much any clothing. Necessities here and there, sure, but very, very few new dresses or pants. The few "new" things I have are different in style because they're hand-me-downs from my sister-in-law.

A few years ago, I chopped off a good portion of my hair, into a very short angled bob. Now I'm growing it out to donate (should be more then a foot and 1/2 by the time I'm done) and when I hit my goal, I'm chopping it into the same cut. Can't wait to see if it looks better on me..

Style wise, Definitely less use of black, and a bunch of color has ended up in my closet...seriously. I look like a freakin easter egg sometimes...but i love it. Alot of dresses and skirts, and shorts with cute tops, none of which would have ever been worn before. I wear heels sometimes which never happened when I was heavier...

I'm this way. The one time that I got to my lowest adult weight (in college and not the healthiest way, btw) I wore jeans and fitted t-shirts and didn't feel the need to wear heels and dresses as much. I was hot because my muscles were hot.

I don't know that I'll get to that low of a weight again, but I'll certainly keep trucking, and will likely wear plainer clothes on a daily basis if I ever get there!
