The "vegetarian burger" is 2 patties for 1P. And then it says "vegetarian chicken nuggets, plain - 6 nuggets" is 1P. I know the 6 nuggets have 190 calories in them and most veggie burgers are around 100 calories, give or take 20 or so. So I think the veggie chicken patty is 1P, but maybe you could switch to nuggets to get more in your serving. Just a thought.

Not a bad thought Cassi. I might go and look for those nuggets tonight, just to incorporate something different.

Do the vegetarian chicken nuggets and chicken patties you all are talking about have breading? I saw some in the grocery, but I wasn't sure about them.

I use the ones with breading. I think it was Holly who said she doesn't. But if 2 veggie burgers = 200 calories and 6 breaded chicken nuggets = 190, I'm in for the breaded. Also in the purple book the Quorn naked cutlets she mentioned count as 2 for 1P, so it's probably 1 for 1P on gold.

I'm eating the ones that are breaded. It's actually the Boca brand Spicy Chicken patties.

I love the veggie burgers, and the veggie chicken nuggets taste just about like the real thing!

Oh and I found the rice crackers. I will be trying tomorrow.

Cassi - what brand of nuggest and veggie burgers do you eat? I haven't ventured away from the Morningstar grillers.

Also, fixed my fruit - thanks for catching. I was so specific to help out the gal looking for the Gold Plan, which sort of turned into an ugly thread, so I'm not going to play on that one anymore!!

I wanna sit on Santa's lap!!! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have a very long list to give him.

Joni - I use the Morningstar nuggets as that is the only brand in my Publix. I switch my veggie burgers, though, depending on what's on sale. Right now I've been on a Gardenburger original kick. It has grains and cheese in it and is really filling and yummy.

I'm on purple too, but no where in my book does it say anything about veggie burgers, except in the "vegetarian proteins" where it says you can have 2 veggie burgers and 2 veggie hot dogs as 1 p. Am I looking in the wrong place??

That's the right place. It says two veggie burgers for 1P. You can eat vegetarian proteins even if you aren't solely a vegetarian. I've actually come to prefer those over real burgers, and if I didn't have the family, I would probably be a vegetarian anyway.

12/7 Purple No lites.

Things have been a little crazy around here with DH out of town amd me juggling work and 2 kids! Here is actual menu today. I had an extra fruit and only 1/2 of my dairy but other OP.

Breakfast(3Fr): Large Fruit Plate
Snack (1/2D): Cheesestick
Lunch (1P;1S;2V): Salad and 35 Gram Protein Shake
Snack (1Fr): Orange
Snack (1S): TJ's PB Granola
Workout: 30 Minute Interval Training on the elliptacal
Dinner (2V;1P) Salad and Salmon
After Workout Snack: 35 Gram Protein Shake

If you put a little Frank's Red Hot on those breaded veggie nuggets and pop them back in microwave for 5-10 sec. you would swear that you were eating bar hot wings!

Tomorrow is the first "Smoke Free" in all public places in Ohio! I am thilled that I don't have so smell like an ashtray if I want to join a Happy Hour after work!
