Default Beck Diet Solution Daily Tip/Conversation Starter

Tuesday Reality Check

When you eat because you’re feeling sad or stressed, remind yourself that what you’ll ultimately doing is turning one problem into two – the original one that made you sad or stressed, and now additionally the problem of feeling badly about your eating, getting off track, and jeopardizing your weight loss.

- Monday Motivation

If you are feeling hopeless about healthy eating and weight loss, it may mean that you’re focusing too much on where you want to be and not enough on the progress you’ve already made. Ask yourself, “Have I lost any weight?” “Are any of my eating habits better than they were?” “Have I made any positive changes?” If the answer is yes, it means you’re on your way!

I am looking for motivation and support for when the tough times jump up and bite me.
Welcome! IP is great! I have three and a half more days of Phase 3 and then I am onto life! Yay! But I've learned that the diet doesn't just stop after the Phases are over. My hubby, who lost 75 lbs, and I are doing our best to remain high protein, low carb as a forever thing. Sure, I look forward to having a drink here and there or cheese or even a bite of birthday cake, but overall, IP has taught me a whole new way of life. I wish you the best. If you follow the plan, you will be successful.

Way to go MiWi!!! Enjoy Phase 4 and you're right. The plan doesn't stop here. You will have to keep yourself in check for the rest of your life. Congrats for reaching your goal

Default New to IP

Hi everyone! I'm Amy, and I just started IP a week ago today. My weigh-in yesterday says I lost 9.2 lbs. and I'm really feeling their absence.

I just wanted to let you all know that you've really helped me feel like I can stick this out for the long haul. You guys are great!

P.S. I made rutabaga fries in the oven today for the first time, and I've never had rutabaga before. I think I found my new favorite veggie :3

Amy welcome and Congrats

Miwi that's great to hear, I love hearing from you. That's fantastic you're nearly onto P4. The first few months of P4 I needed more support than I needed on P1 so feel free to ask away.... lots of people here to help as you know.

I think I'm onto something....I've been doing a 20 brisk walk with my dog and the big C has left the building!
Down a pound and a bit this week, which is fine, I'm learning that it's more encouraging to look at the whole month. My clothes are all fitting loose and I have tons of energy, so that's more important than a big loss.
I know that I'm following protocol, so trusting the process!
Going camping for the weekend, so am preparing 4 foil packets of 2 cups of veggies each, bringing 2 packs of prepared salad, my IP shaker and packs (a few extra in case I do a lot of swimming/walking).
Can't wait!

Today is my first day on IP. Three of my coworkers went on this plan and lost weight. I'm not sure of the ladies, but the male coworker lost 50lbs in 3 months without any exercise. I went to CVS today and found the EAS shakes on sale B1G1 50% off. I tried the chocolate one and it was DELICIOUS! It seems like most people eat/drink the same thing every day (which is okay). I was so happy to find the shake tasting so good since its easy for me to grab and go. I will want to buy the powder next since i'm sure its much cheaper.

Hi all!! I haven't been on here in a while. My dad passed in May and his death really threw me for a loop. It's a hard thing to deal with when you're used to turning to food. I'm happy to say that I did not turn to food though. I was also promoted at work and have been super busy, which is good because it takes my mind off of things. I have somehow been able to maintain my weight, pretty much, I'm 5 lbs up from my lowest, and I'm getting back on track with ip now. I was pretty much doing ip with alternative products, but more Atkins like. I've missed y'all and am glad to be back.

Kellyc14!!! So good to hear from you again. Grief is difficult journey.
Congrats on your promotion, and for holding pretty darn steady in your weight! That 5 won't last too long.

Amy - welcome! 9 lbs is awesome!!

Chris have fun camping this weekend - sounds like you're well prepared.

JayJanae are you doing alternate IP products? I used to drink the ideal proten shakes - they are good.

So sorry about your dad Kelly and wow amazing that you didn't turn to food during that difficult time.

I'm looking forward to a slow weekend after being busy the last couple of weeks. When I checked in with my coach this morning I mentioned how I'm surprised I get so tired still this far in and she suggested I get my B12 level checked. She knows a few people that are getting B12 shots and say they feel amazing. I go for a physical week after next so I'll definitely ask about it!
