Sewingmama - Only 8 more lbs! WooHoo!!
Vet - You're melting away......
Kara - Wish I knew what you were talking about re: cookie baking! Some meds just don't let things, ummm, function properly LOL
Rainbow - I've been to the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade...it's really cool to see it in person! My step-son was in one of the high school bands that participated in the 90's.

Found out yesterday that my foot surgery is scheduled for Aug. 8. It is in the Dr. office, so only local numbing & no IV. Will have a cast on for a few weeks (3?)(will make WIs interesting). I plan to have an extra packet for the 3 days before, then back to 100% the day after. They said I could have breakfast, etc. beforehand, but thinking I'm not going to have much water, as I won't be able to get to the bathroom for 3 - 4 hours!

Anyway, have a wonderful day everyone. And Darralynn - if you're lurking...HELLO! Hope all is well with you.

Today is 1 month on IP for me! The program gets easier and easier with every day and I am really loving trying new things (rutabaga and turnips) and learning to cook and think about food differently. I LOVE Rainbow's recipes (especially the crab cake...I'm from Maryland and live for crab ) and many others posted in the forum. Last night I made a curry dish that was OP and took care of my craving for Indian food! I used Miracle Angel Hair pasta, chicken, zucchini, cabbage, green onion (all random I know, but that's what I had in the fridge) with curry, garam masala spice and a little red pepper for heat...YUM!
i love knowing i can do things now that i couldn't do 70 pounds ago!!!
i am glad you like the crab cakes recipe...it is one of my favorites and i usually have it once a week, sometimes more! haha
your curry dish sounds heavenly....i loved the chicken tikki marsala i got while in england so would love to re-create it!! i haven't tried the miracle noodles...so many mixed reviews haha, guess i'm chicken to try them!!!

OMG....YOU are so right!!! my DH has mentioned several times...how impressed he was with my confidence level growing and with me just getting OUT IN PUBLIC MORE!! i never really noticed how much of a hermit i had become!! IT FEELS GREAT!!! i can't wait to do more and more things on my IP bucket list!!!

well done anna!!! you are off to a fabulous start!! you will not regret this choice!!!!

In other news, a friend and colleague at work signed up for IP and is starting tomorrow. I'm so happy for him! He's quite a big guy and I really hope that this will be the program that makes the difference. He said it was seeing me lose the weight and seeing pictures of my transformed husband that finally compelled him to do something about it. Pretty cool, actually. This makes him person number six (in five different cities!!) that have started Ideal Protein because they've heard about it from me or have seen my progress pics on Facebook. Makes my heart smile to see others learning about IP and the difference it can make!!
this made me laugh so hard....because DH just said to me the other day, ummm love, i think its time you get some new panties!!! and i never realized how big my undies had become!!!

well....JUST LOOK AT YOU!!! its NO WONDER that everyone who sees your amazing journey doesn't want to know your "secret"!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

NSV - DH admitted my weight had a lot to do with the kitchen "being closed" and now apparently it is open 24 hours a day...it's nuts. He even said that he didn't care if I lost anymore weight cuz I looked so fabulous as I am, which was ultimately the NSV yesterday.

Daily Weigh showed me back up the weight I lost since Monday, not freaked cuz I was s-i-c-k yesterday, we're talking stomach cramps, big D, exhaustion, the whole 9 yards, and I always seem to gain when big D is around, not sure what the heck is up with that (you'd think you'd lose more right?)

This morning I've spent 35 seconds making my coffee, and 20 minutes digging under the couch and/or TV stand as my dog drops his "squeakums" under them repeatedly. This last round was 10 minutes with me under the TV stand (about 3' wide and 2' deep) shuffling around with a victoria secret flyer trying to find the dang toy, at one point I looked up and had "Dante" our big white dog (owner of said toy), "Nero" our large black dog (wimp), and "Mokka" our bengal cat all standing in various positions around me looking either down at me (Mokka and Nero) or in the "hole" I was shoving the flyer into to get the stupid toy out (Dante). They make me laugh those three lol. Dante is so smart, if I tell him "Dante, it's not under there" he gives me this look that says "you're stupid" and proceeds poke his nose directly in front of where the toy is UNDERNEATH whatever furniture it is. Nothing is more entertaining than a 115 pound dog with his butt in the air and his head under a bed while he looks for a toy, just saying...Man I wish I had my camera with me that time!

In other news: DH had a tooth pulled yesterday and is feeling pretty crummy. He went in to get a permanent crown put on, they told him they still needed to take the impression and also that a tooth was ready to come out So they pulled it, yech! He'll get the impression the week we get back from Sturgis, and the final crown the week we go on our cruise. Poor guy is all I can say for him.

Work is gonna be nuts today, I NEED to get some stuff caught up and work ahead so I can have a lax week next week (since I'll be all YAY STURGIS!), such is life I suppose

Well, time to wake up DH...crazy that he wants to get woken up early with me in the mornings, but hey, whatever, apparently he likes me or something lol!
He's not feeling too much pain if he can be busy baking...!

DH is so supportive and wants me to keep doing it but I hate having to use my credit card every week for it because we don't have the money in the bank.

I work from home and have been looking for a second job to do from home so i can continue on with IP. No luck so far.

For those of you doing this on your own are you using alternatives or doing the maintenance?

My coach is a very close childhood friend and I know he would understand. but the money and the 45 min drive to get there every week is really tough.

Any advice or direction? For IP or work from home job would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats to all the losers out there. Keep up the great work! You are all beautiful inside and out.
I use alternatives 95% of the time. No difference in weight loss as I did IP using 100% IP products in 2010. Then we moved, I fell off the wagon, gained the weight back, this time use 95% alternatives - buying through Nashua Nutrition.com. Buy HealthSmart, Proti-Diet and Proti-Thin although this morning placed an order through www.netrition.co, for some Big Train and Dixie Diner products - all meet phase 1 IP specs. The prices are 1/3 the cost of IP, if not less when you look at the # servings/container and the variety makes this easy (for me at least).

Ah well. Bodies are weird.

We had such a good time. Loved Charleston as always. While in Charleston we spent one day at the beach in Kiawah. That was my first time there, as when visiting my daughter in the past we usually went to Folly beach. I like Kiawah a lot better. It was a great week overall. I told my husband I think I want to retire to Hilton Head.

It's a wonderful program and really, will be shaping how I approach food and my dietary choices overall. So this has been a great journey - and far from over.

Those hot pink jeans are incredible - really - when you compare the colors of the clothing on you - you just look like a model in the bright colors. Buy more of those. Great that so many of your body aches and issues are gone, along with the weight!

Hi Chloe!! Just a question for you about alternatives...do you also get your supplements at one of these sites you listed? My IP fund will run out in about 2 months and I would start looking into this...Thanks for any guidance you can give!
