I'm wondering whether or not it's ok to marinade beef/pork/chicken, etc. in a concoction that includes olive oil, (low salt) soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, dijon-style prepared mustard, diced onion, minced garlic, and black pepper? My dinner sirloin steak has been marinating for hours in this mixture, in readiness for grilling later tonight. It suddenly occurred to me that maybe I shouldn't be using a marinade that includes olive oil? I'm going to use a George Foreman grill, that does squeeze most of the fat out... Any thoughts?

BTW ... I had to break away from my constant preoccupation with the forum this afternoon, as I needed to finish my taxes. (I swear I'm addicted to this place... I can spend hours just reading everybody's posts and going back in the stickies, recipe files, etc.) Major procrastinator here. LOL Did my taxes online this year, and got them submitted about an hour ago. Happy to see I've got a nice refund coming. Should receive it in just about the right time for some lower-size new clothes shopping!

I am with Dana, you have loss 15lbs in 2 weeks....what are you expecting??.....what are you going to do when you loss a pound???....you really need to THINK about this disappointment thing....why on earth are you disappointed??? some people NEVER lose 2lbs and you loss 2.6...BE HAPPY about that!...follow the program 100% as you have and it WILL come off, your body has to adjust....BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and the PROGRAM...don't DOUBT either!

[COLOR="Blue"][COLOR="Blue"]Whoa!!!! I have just been dealt some "tough love" by Wuv!!!! It's okay, you are right. I did not expect to lose a lot, but I kinda did want 3. So, I will attempt to settle down, and let the pounds peel off as they may!!!!! Heard you loud and clear

**Sooooo Hungry!!***

This is bizarre: Today has been absolutely normal at home, aside from some minor stress and a tiny bit of running around, and for some reason I am absolutely STARVING. I had the IP chocolate shake for breakfast for the first time, every other day has been Atkins still, using IP as snack or dessert. I was STARVING, so I ate a salad with my 2 cups of veggies, and my IP meal replacement bar, had another bar like 2 hours ago, and am hungry, YET AGAIN! It is seriously driving me nutty. It is TOM for me just started today so maybe that has something to do with it? But I am totally not digging' it

I found the most perfect dress! And it fit very nicely! And I had to get one 2 sizes smaller than the first one I tried on!!!!!

I feel confident in it and am ready to give my presentation in style!

Woot!
That's awesome. Congrats and good luck with your presentation

OMG I am sooooo tired and beat up & sore all over. Today in preperation of the shower next week, I set up 3 tents in my yard, opened the pool, powerwashed tables & chairs. After that I was starving and so tired I didnt want to cook. I threw some pre made bubba burgers on the grill for DH & kids. I caouldnt have one because they are loaded with fat so I just had tuna & spinach. I really dont love tuna without the mayo, so it was'nt an enjoyable dinner, it was just to feed the body. WOW has my thinking changed. before I woulda wolfed down one of those fatty burgers.. ( if not 2).

Anyhow, just wanted to pop in and say hi. I really need to soak in a hot bath.

KMC- I am so glad to see you here.. are you feeling better?

Went clothes shopping today with my birthday money from my DH, was excited when the usual size 2x was too big. I am now in a X, that is the smallest size in the store. I guess next time I will be shopping in the regular department stores, it made my birthday even more special. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes, and I didn't have a piece of cake after all.:

Hi Darralyn, I don't think there's any problem with substituting lime for lemon juice if you've ran out. BTW, I've read your posts today but haven't yet responded - so.... Welcome to the forum. I hope you hang out here often. As you're already finding out, it's a fantastic place for support and advice.
