Lynsey, you and me both on the being hungry. I made my zuchinni muffins at 3 pm, ate supper at 4:30 and now I am done eating for the day. I was up at 3:30 am and just had a little cat nap so I will be crashing for the night early. Oh, My friend was at a Sam's club in one of our big cities and is bringing me a mixed box of Pure Protein bars. I told her to get them as I will pack them for my train trip when I have to sit on the train for 23 1/2 hours to see my grandkids in Oregon. Now to be strong and stay out of them!!!

My head cold finally seems to be getting better but now my oldest daughter and husband are where I was last week. I'm still battling it but nothing like they are.
I was up a little this morning at 150.2 but that's fine, as long as it doesn't go up much more.
I struggled shopping for phase 3 yesterday. I had my husband and kids with and I was reading EVERYTHING for what seemed to me like forever and they were getting antsy so I know they were annoyed too. I couldn't find anything I had on my list but I had written nutritional info to compare and I think I got pretty close. I will be bringing some of the things to work and leaving it there so I don't have to get up so early I think. I have a test Monday and finals next week so I don't have a lot of time to worry about making sure I have the numbers just right so I'm kinda freaking. I think I will write the name of all the products I bought and plug them in at work to see what I can have with what. I'm going to make this work! I have to admit, it was much easier grabbing the shakes, bars and veggies and getting out the door.
Where do you find this Ezikiel bread?
Glad I am not alone. Today we were shopping and he told me, if it is going to be like this every week, I am not coming. haha. i just struggle with what grains to buy. I get the Ezikiel bread in frozen section, where frozen bread is. near lots of gluten free items as well.
Meals should consist of 30g or less grain carbohydrates, 20g or less of fruit carbs, 15g or less of dairy carbs. Aim for about 25g of protein and try to keep fat less than 15g. Breakfast should be between 400 and 500 calories in Phase 3.
Nobody else has mentioned the extra 15g allotted for dairy. Is this sheet wrong? It's on the third page of my Phase 3 sheet which talks about waking up the pancreas. On the 1st page of this packet is just mentions grain and fruit carbs and says dairy no more than 120 cals. I thought I better find out of I have to add them into a different category before I plan my meals. Thanks!

There aren't any extra carbs for dairy. If you have it you have to subtract the dairy carbs from the 50 allowed for grains and fruit.
After my test tonight I am going to do the spreadsheet thing so I'm sure not to go over but I would like to know what I need to watch most closely. (I know, I'm way over thinking this but I want to do it right!) I'm assumming I need to keep an eye on the carbs first. I was kinda experimenting and my fat may go over a little some days. I don't have the fruit picked out yet so I was just plugging in different ones. Do we always have to have a fruit? I am really upset I couldn't find what was on my list because that would've been so much easier. Or even if I could've gone to the store I normally do because they have much more of a health food section but it's out of town and having everyone with and having somewhere to be really hindered my shopping like I said earlier. I'd watch the fat. Just 1 egg, for instance, and 1 T of peanut butter equals 13.42 grams of fat. Not to mention what you get from bread, cereal, dairy or another protein. Staying under 15 is VERY hard. And the following is my own interpretation, but I don't think you have to get all 50 grams of carbs in at breakfast. About protein -- over 25 is good. Hope this helps and I sure wish you the very best of luck. I hope you're one of those who loses weight in Phases 3 and 4.
I put together 6 meals with what I have to work with and came perfect or under everything except protein (which I consider great) but I have one dilemma, I am low in calories. Is that ok? I go anywhere from 350-414 but most are around 390. I will go over the other things if I add anything. I only plugged in bananas and oranges but if I find plums or something I will do some figuring Wed night after I go fruit shopping. Thanks for listening to my never ending confusion.
I don't know about going under the calories, maybe ask your coach. I am doing great on my phase 3 , loving the breakfast. I am reading all I can about phase 4, trying to get read.
I don't have a coach. I've been doing this all on my own with alternatives the whole time. My friend pretty much quit going to her coach because she hasn't been staying on plan and "the weigh ins only get her down". She used to ask questions for me. I will see if anyone in maintenance knows. Thanks anyway!

I am slowly, slowly getting over the congestion... now I think I got the BF sicky. poor guy.
I am already thinking about recipes I can't wait to make for Christmas Eve since I will be in maintenance, I guess the fat girl still lives inside of me. I am nervous phasing off during the most tempting time of the year... but I will just phase 1/2 it every meal I possibly can between the start of maintenance and new years. I picked out a scale I want for christmas. So I can stay accountable.
So tomorrow will be my first weigh in on Phase 3, I am nervous. I feel like I am eating so much more at breakfast that I will gain 5lbs! Did anyone feel like that and then get a pleasant surprise at weigh in. I am going to force myself to jog/walk today, tomorrow and thursday. My clothes feel fine, but I don't know if it's in my head or if my tummy feels bigger than per Phase 3.

I gave my cold to my husband and my oldest daughter. I am still holding on to it a little myself but nothing like last week.
