Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I gained a pound.....I'm well peed off. I couldn't believe it! I mean I've been quiet good this week, besides Wednesday, but that shouldn't have affected it that much!!!!!!!

I'm on an experiment this week. I will still write down everything I eat, but I will not stay strictly on the plan. I will eat in moderation....and then see how I do this week. I've read the Paul McKenna book about a year ago, and a few things still stick in my head....so, I'll dig it out again one of these days...probably during the weekend as it is coming down in buckets anyway....and try his aproach...

Felt the urge for chese and Branston this morning...so I went to Tesco this morning and got myself 2 wholemeal seeded rolls, lightlife cheese and Branston for my lunch. Also got some carrots, cucumber and tomato......

Aw Moonchild, I'm sorry about that. I wonder where the weight came from

So, how does the Paul McKenna thing work?

Don't give up, you can get through this!

I'm not giving up, but I just want to see how I get on with not stickin to the plan completely, but not overeating. Well, it's hard to discribe how it works, but he is basicly saying that the big eaters are not that much different from the skinnys......it's been a while since I've read the book, but I'll dig it out again. There is a CD with it, which seems to help ur subconciousness....well, I'll see....but I'm not falling off the wagon.....just trying a different approach for a week.....

I've started a new thread off as the old one has been going for nearly a year. Moved recent posts over.

Hi all

Sorry to hear about the pesky pound Moonchild - I spent most of the tail end of last year maintaining - losing -gaining!

You just lose the will with it all - it all seems unfair but I really think if you can ride it out you'll come out the other side. I find it disheartening that i see people at class who have a couple of stone to lose and get to target and I'm still slogging along trying to shift all this bulk -eventually though I will be one of those lucky people who actually get there - just not quite yet!!!

So its nearly the end of Jan - thank goodness - I think januarys a pretty tough month to get through -despite Xmas only being one day of the year I still seem to find choccies and loverlies all over the place at least until the end of January - I haven't lost the weight yet I put on over Xmas but I've managed to go down 6llbs this month which for me is a bloody miracle - watch out for sabotages galore! Why do we do that??

So lets keep going and be healthier rather than focus on losing all the weight and maybe that will follow-the amount of exercise all you lot do is fantastic and no mean feat!!

bubbly xx

Hi all, hope yous had a nice weekend. I've been so so this weekend, had a chinky for lunch on saturday and some nibbles for dinner with my two cans of cider lol. yesterday only had a sandwich for lunch an a bit of duck with pancake for dinner....didnt overeat, so i hope this compensates for not sticking on plan. I'll see how i did this week. Probably gained another pound...grrrr. All my motivation seems to be simmering somewhere, but I'm just not quiet able to grasp it. Which is weird, cause I booked my holiday on saturday ....may 3rd for two weeks dom republic all inclusive......yay!!!

Hiya,

I had a good weekend generally, although as far as healthy eating goes I was naughty and had a chinese and a macdonalds, why I did it I don't know lol! I've decided I'm going to cut my syns down to 10 a day instead of 15, I often eat the extra 5 just because I can instead of actually needing to, and I'm going to try restricting myself for a couple of weeks to see how it goes. I'm also increasing my exercise I usually do 3 or 4 classes a week, I'm going to continue that but run or cycle in the morning before work. I'm not doing it because I want to rush my weight loss but because I enjoy it and I don't feel like I'm doing enough cardio at the moment.

Holiday sounds nice Moonchild, you've got a great motivation there

Hi girls

Lost 1.5 lbs last week. However, I then went to my boyfriends afterwards and he was ordering a Indian so I had some of that. Well..then since I had got a taste for takeaways I ended up sharing one with my parents on Sunday! Oh dear, I hope this does not effect my weightloss this week too much. WI is on friday and I'm off work til then so at least I won't be tempted with the vending machines for snacks and sandwiches!

I've made up a leftover style pasta bake for my tea tonight using leftover quorn bolognese, tin of chopped tomatoes, 1/2 tub of plain cottage cheese mixed with the pasta and a HE of cheese on top. It tastes very indulgent. The cottage cheese almost makes it taste like a lasagne but in a pasta bake style. I'm going to have this with a big salad.

Hope everyone is doing well! Take care!

I lost 2.5 pounds, very very pleased with myself. I'm chuffed because I thought I'd been a bit too naughty over the weekend and the loss surprises me. I guess it goes to show that exercise pays off. I've done 5 hours exercise so far this week.

Does anyone know if there is a syn calculator which works out the syn value from a recipe rather then the nutritional content? Or a reliable calculator that will work out the nutritional content? Then hopefully I can put it through the calculator on the website. I know there are alot of nutritional calculators on the web but I was just wondering if anyone knew a really good and reliable one.

Thanks.

Thanks Moonchild. I hope your weigh in goes ok, it's always hard after we've had a break from eating properly for a while. The exercise has made such a difference to me, I feel so much better for it
