Linden - i see you live in Hawaii. Umeke Market carries some Walden Farm products. They can also order. You have to buy 12 bottles, but they do discount it for you. Getting things shipped here is a pain. I always take an empty suitcase to the mainland!

WELCOME. That makes three of us. AND you must be doing the best thing possible --reading liberally -- because I posted that months ago. Unfortunately, I live on the Big Island and no Umeke Market. But I was able to persuade the best health food store to order in a bunch of them. Thanks, a lot, for your concern.

Yes, I just read all the posts. I have doing Low Carb aka Atkins, but seemed to have stalled. I find this way of eating quite interesting. I think I will try to add more protein and less fat and see if that helps. The weight lost is impressive. We travel a lot so it is a bit of a challenge, but I am going to give it my best until we take off again.

Do you order from the Maui site?

Merry Christmas to all of you that I just "met" as I read the posts.

Yes, I use the Maui coach or you could use Ideal Protein To Go.

Travel isn't as much of a problem as you might think. An IP packet (using airline water and a shaker) plus lightly-cooked veretables (since we can't take anything raw out of state) is s great substitute for airline food. Also check out the Restaurant sticky. And have a large salad before you go to the airport.

Thanks for all the info. The success stories are impressive. I also read the book last night. I am going to change my protein to one with less fat for a while and see if that helps.

Have you read Diane Kress's Metabolism Miracle? She talks about re-setting the pancreas just as Dr. Chanh does. There is definitely something to it.

Happy Holiday, Jocelyn

I had been doing IP with EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Shakes and lost a tad more than 50 pounds. I want to lose another 30-40 so I decided to bite the bullet and go to a coach and use the actual IP products. She asked me how I had lost the 50, I told her what I had been using and she said that was very smart and that the shakes I had been using are the closest to IP as any alternative will come. Just wanted to share for any of you looking for more affordable options. Good luck to you all!

So, the EAS are OK? I will stock up on those. The IP foods are pretty spendy, and it would be a nice little break for the bank account. Have they improved in taste at all? I remember trying them before and them having a metallic aftertaste.

I do crab, shrimp, spinach stuffed mushrooms. Check the recipe threads.

Great Idea!!!!

You can also add the leek soup powder to WF mayo to make an onion dip. Whip it up well with a whisk and taste till you like the flavor. Add some cracked pepper.

Add store bought white horseradish (zero everything)and fresh lemon to WF Ketchup for "cocktail sauce" and boil up some shrimp!.

skewer soak cubed white meat chicken and/or steak in soy, ginger, garlic and lime juice (+ a little stevia for sweet), and grill for a chicken satay.

I always add mrs. dash various seasoning, like fiesta lime for asian flavor, and onion and herb to all the WF products to make them taste better...and they do!
Have fun.
And even while they're all eating chips and stuff, you could have a restricted garlic and sour cream soy puffs all for your self! They're delicious if you want one allowable restricted for the day.

Somewhere in the recipes is the kale chips recipe. I hear they are delicious. That could be your chips, too.

Just wondering if anyone has found a good potassium supplement. All the ones in the grocery store are potassium gluconate 99mg and the IP ones are potassium from bicarbonate at 800 mg. I just don't feel the same taking more of the regular potassium. I've taken a lot more but I also don't know if the mg is equivalent across products. Taking some of the non IP vitamins I try to use as substitutes I really just don't feel as good.

I had always used the EAS shakes, so never knew of anything else to be better. I have recently begun using the IP RTD shakes and like them much more. My coach allows me to sub one EAS shake for one of my packs to save on the budget. I don't see anything wrong with using them, to me following the protocol is the same if you have a similar product with similar nutritional amounts. I drink the AdvantEdge Carb Control Choc Fudge but I do not like the vanilla ones.
