Whew...it took me FOREVER to get thru the other forums posts....It is 1:10am....and I just finished reading them. Haven't commented on them yet tho.

Well, I only finished the tshirt today....so still staying in the house. Went out to get some groceries to keep me in food. Wish I could remember to sew like I used to....

I can't figure out if the Olympics are helping me or hindering me.....I HAVE to have them on when I am sewing....then I get all excited...and forget what I am sewing. Congrats to Canada....first gold on your own ground!!

Am exhausted. Hanging in there, tho. Hope you are all doing okay. I just kept myself REAL busy today and tried not to think that it was Valentines Day......My birthday is harder, because we always did something special on my birthday.....

Motiv8tedmama: There is a beauty school that does halfhourmassages...but it is 40 minutes from me. I decided that driving that amount of distance there and back, would undo the stress release. I might get one for my birthday.....maybe not. Been so busy. Didn't even drink the wine I said I would drink for valentines day.....yay.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated) LILITA!!!! Hope your party was great!!!

My birthday was yesterday (turned 54). My BF is so good to me, he spoils me and he makes the morning about my birthday, I get one present then and the rest of the day about Valentine's day and I get another present later in the day!

All of us "old guys" with Feb birthdays!!!! Lilita, Torchlaker and myself!!!

I went a little further than just having wine for my b-day and enjoyed a couple of coolers before eating and Grand Marnier after dinner!! Lots of sugar but I loved it and I also had some of my cake!!!
Guess I am going to be doing a lot of exercising this week!!!

Today is my brother's birthday and I am making him a big dinner but I will stay away from the alcohol and just have a very small peice of his cake.

Take care everyone, and keep up the good work!!!! Got to start cooking!!!!

Lilita and Ottawa: Happy b-day! Know I am late on this but I don't get a chance to log in on weekends... too busy with the kids and all the things I didn't do on weeknights! Thank you for this Alternate forum - would not have the time to read everything otherwise!!

Hope all of you had a great Valentine's day! Temptation was sure high and to all of you that did not give up! As for myself, let's say I cheated only a little... 3 jellybeans on saturday and the same amount on sunday!

My only true cheat was on friday night... ate a soup bowl of spaghetti sauce (no pasta!). At first, wanted only a spoonful but gave up to this temptation and ate the whole bowl! (could it have thrown me out of ketosis??) That has been followed by 2-3 oz of whisky (remembered on the old forum before christmas that it was "ok"...). So I am stuck at 158 since friday and the scale doesn't want to move! Not sure how long I will be hanging in there... guilt kicks in about the costs of the program when the scale gets stubborn!

Less than 2 weeks before Disney... not sure I will get to my mini-goal anymore...

Happy Birthday Ottawa! And on Valentine's Day! How special.

I am nursing a head cold today. Masquerade Ball last Saturday was OK. I didn't dig the band too much (country rock) It was hard to get into a Mardi Gras mood with twangy music. They were serving Creole food and I had BBQ shrimp which was good and fit in with IP.

Yesterday we went to a Mardi Gras parade mostly 'cause my 12 y.o. grandson was marching with the school band. Then the parade was over and the streets turned into one big party! There was some live bands playing in some of the bars, jazzy blues! If felt like New Orleans and we danced a lot.

So after 3 days of partying, I have come down with a head cold. First time that I've been sick in 3 years since I met my boyfriend. He made me a bowl of chicken soup and brought it to bed for me. Then he made me some hot lemon tea while I was watching the Olympics. He's a keeper!

It is so hard to be on an diet while being sick! I don't even want to think about it.

Just thought I'd drop by to keep in touch. Thanks again for all the birthday wishes! You all are great "cyber" friends.

Mmmmm...birthday cake! Haven't had a birthday cake in years for my birthday! I am thinking about going into town (about 45 minutes away -- and it is a SMALL town)...and maybe buying some clothes for my trip! I have been plugging away at sewing...but it is going SO slow. One tshirt I made came out SO cool....but it was a heavy knit...so unless I wear it, I probably wouldn't take it. It has ruffles going down each side...But I made it in WHITE....so I would probably spill airline food/drinks all over it. PLUS - it took me 3 days to make it.

BUT......You guys GOTTA go see SylviaG's before and aft pictures. I think it is on page 14 of the other board! Awesome!!

Can't remember if it was this board or the other one, that someone suggested Blair for 2 piece bathing suits in different sizes. I did look at LandsEnd and the other one.....but thought I would try this one. So -- according to their size chart....I ordered an XL top, and a S bottom (gives you an idea what I am shaped like, huh??) I have never ordered a bathing suit online, so this should be interesting....

I cut out material all day long. Man, gone are the days when I can just whip up something in a day. I didn't even sew today...It took me ALL day to cut out a jacket, shorts and a tshirt! (I kept having to readjust everything). My back is killing me for bending over in the position! Gettin' old......

So - geez...I am out of puddings...Lindora..IP. I am never out of pudding!! Almost out of cigarettes too. (I really have been putting my nose to the grindstone and not leaving the house). Probably should have weighed in this week, so I could cheat on my birthday...(weighin is the day after my birthday). It is so hard to stay motivated anymore.....I DID exercise the last 3 days tho!

Geez...I don't have much to say today....(do you believe that??)

Happy Birthday Lilita175 and Ottawa!!! Valentine's Day - I had wine, mashed potatoes and cake - it was delicious and well worth it. tonight we had supper at my mom and dad's - dad cooked a roast - he does all the cooking and is really amazing - it was so funny because it was like shoe leather - really. he laughed his head off and then threw some fish sticks in the oven. they were so good, the company was good - no regrets -until tomorrow maybe when i weigh in.

I need to get back to exercising - toning even - i notice my inner thighs are getting pretty wobbly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated) Lilita and Ottawa!! Sorry I am late, was super busy this weekend.

Well, I cheated this weekend. Helped my mom move. She bought pizza for everyone. I broke down and had some and wine (white). 2 lbs gained now. But I'm back on so hopefully it will come off fast.

Torchlaker, take a pic of your new shirt for us and post it please. I know I'd love to see it.

Elishatamar, where is that pic of your new do??!!!

Happy Happy birthday Lilita and Ottawa. Glad you had great days. I did cheat over the weekend. I play pool and tournament season is upon us. I was in a tournament this weekend and it is hard not to cheat when you are in a bar all day. I did bring my ip pudding shake with me and some celery but the stress of playing and being on the winner side got to me and I broke down and had some of the potluck they had. Chips and dip, cookies, and sloppy joe mix. It was really good. I am going to have to work extra hard this week to loose. I keep gaining and loosing the same pound for a couple of weeks now.

Melissa, you have done so well so far......a day isn't going to be that bad! Just get back on the horse, as the saying goes. We look up to you and your boot camp ways.

Thanks Ogdog13. I know one day is not going to kill me but one day turns into two and then three and so on. It is like I cheat for one day then back on ip for two or three then cheat again. It makes me scared that I will not be able to maintain when I am off ip. My significant other says it is becuase I am doing the bootcamp and there is no variety in my diet. So I have three IP pudding shakes a day I am only eating celery and spinach plus my own protien at night. The bootcamp is probably why I just keep going back and forth with the same pound but I would really like to find the will power and determination I had in the beginning to just keep going after a few days.
Speaking of bootcamp has ANYONE heard from MeghanO?
