Torchlaker -

I would talk to your Dr. before taking 3 of the K tablets, because that's 2/3 of the recommended daily value, and you probably don't need that much. You mentioned you have difficulty drinking enough water... that could be one cause of muscle cramps, if you've been slacking on that lately.

Did you get your hair done? If so, do you like it? That was your first reward was it not?

Started on monday, already lost 3# AND am so decided not to cheat again this weekend! Sharing this struggle with all of you might be the best motivational factor for me. Hang in there, we can do it and we will!

Torchlaker, I find that going to the gym on my lunch break helps me to lower the stress (even if it is hard to dress up and leave the building to get there... 17F today!). I eat an IP bar afterwards and don't feel the lack of energy anymore. Does not seem to slow down my weight loss!

Hey everyone, I need some advice some from more advanced IPers. I've come down with a terrible cold: sore throat, headache, nasal congestion, body aches, you name it. Is there anything I can take without jeopardizing my progress? I was looking at throat lozenges today at the pharmacy, and even the sugar free ones have corn syrup in them (I don't know if this would be bad, but I would assume they would). Also, do you think I would be okay to take a sinus medication? I remember when reading back through the posts a long time ago that someone had used nyquil with detrimental effects on their weight loss. I would try to rough it out, but it's gotten pretty terrible, and I HAVE to go to work tomorrow and not be a zombie for the kids. Any suggestions?

p.s. Thank you for all of the answers you've all provided in the past, and good luck to you all getting back on track! You've all done it before, and you'll do it again!

I know they have diabetic versions of Robitussin in CVS and Rite Aid...they probably have them for Nyquil, too. Hope you feel better soon...

Yes I did, and I am quite happy with it. :-) The woman who did it also does facials, and so I decided that my next reward would be one of those. Now I just need to find my camera charger so I can post "before" and "during" pictures.

I started yesterday...but with this spring-loaded scale, I cannot see small increments (like .2)...as I did on my digital. Probably didn't lose...cuz -- guess what? I have not gone in the past 2 days either. I hate this part of it. I didn't get all my water in....but most of it.

I also had enough energy to keep myself busy tonight rather than plop down in front of the t.v. set. I did turn on the Cavaliers/Miami game (I so rarely get to see my Cavaliers play since I moved to Michigan) and listened while I painted up some rocks for my rockpainting class -- finished the pair of linen capris I made -- and sketched up some stencil sketches (never cut a stencil before, tho). I turned the computer entirely off, so I wouldn't be tempted to go on it...and rebooting takes a long time.

No muscle cramps today...made sure I got my salt in..and took only 2 of the potassiums.

Swilk - I remember getting a 48-hour virus (or cold) not long after I started IP. I was already feeling crappy, and this just about did me in. I am at least 20 minutes from a drugstore....so I took what I had here cuz I felt too lousy to drive. I don't remember it affecting my weight loss -- but I also remember that I didn't eat much for about 3 days. The thought of IP packets turned my stomach. I just had chicken boullion (that is NOT a suggestion, tho).

Yeah, I am thrilled that we are all back on track. I am surprised that these 2 days I have felt pretty good...cuz I felt awful when I tried to go back on IP in January. Gonna go try fiber tablets and maybe ONE T. of milk of magnesia. I sure don't want to get bound up again....that was awful, and made me feel awful.

Ladies, are all of you going to take measurements again? That is one thing my coach didn't do and I wish she would have. I'm going to do that this weekend for myself as I slipped by size 14 jeans off my hips this morning (which brough elation as I was so close before...). So if I'm not losing again I'm still losing inches.

Torchlaker, I'm glad you stayed busy. Wow you got a lot done!! Did it help with wanting to eat in front of the TV? Remember, drink water!! And, you'll have your 9 lbs lost so fast that you'll be able to enjoy that pizza reuben before the time runs out for when they stop serving it!!! It definitely sounds yummy.

Swilk, did you decide what you are going to make for Superbowl Sunday? Here my place was volunteered....so now I have to come up with some healthy alternatives for my friends/family (MYSELF!!). I'm going to make them chicken wings as I don't eat them anyway, and make myself some alternative meat boneless type wings (no breading, just hot sauce). And I'm going to cut up some veggies so I get my 4 cups in through out the game .... yep, going to wait for the game to get all my veggies in. I think that I'll still serve a nice salad with homemade dressing. Any other ideas?

How about crab-stuffed mushrooms? You can make a bunch for other folk with cheese, butter, etc., and a small amount for you that is I.P. appoved(butter flavored PAM)

Hey...just thinking here. I ran some of those chips (can't remember what they are called) thru the blender and made crumbs. Never used them up...that could be used in meatballs or the crabstuffed mushrooms. Actually, I bought some wings for myself...just no breading. Figured I would toss them in some olive oil and lots of garlic and bake them.....I think I remember seeing some ideas on the other board. What about those pepperoni chips?

I really don't care WHO wins the SuperBowl (if it is not the Lions or the Browns....I really could care less)....so I am just gonna watch it by myself on the bigscreen. For my friends sake, I hope the Saints win....just so she will be happy.

Yeah, it did help not plopping in front of the t.v......altho I turned the game on the small t.v. in front of my dining room table...but those basketball players look like little ants running around on that. I love sports, tho...my husband hated them (isn't that wierd??). Superbowl always makes me think of 1982's Superbowl. My son was baptized that day so we had a bunch of people over at the house. I was new to "nursing" -- so was super embarrassed to do it anywhere but in Brian's room. Wouldn't you know...the kid wanted to eat just before kickoff!!! I started nursing him in his room...and I thought, "This is stupid! I am not gonna hide while I am nursing." So I picked him up, picked up a towel, and nursed him standing up while I watched it!! (did I mention I love sports??)

Hey....before I was finished writing this...the UPS guy came (here I thought the Lindora products were coming by mail)....so I gotta go open them...it is just like Christmas!!
