Smile Question re: Turnips

I've read postings that indicate turnips are occasional vegetables. However, the Phase 1 sheet I was given doesn't mention that. What do you all think?

My phase 1 sheet has turnips listed under everyday vegetables. Not sure why yours is different.

I'm feeling a little down today and its really the first day that i feel that way..I've been on the program 3 1/2 weeks and i'm down 21.5 lbs,,,
I can just now eat the restricted food packages and the bars...
but will this hurt my diet..do people do this everyday...
is this to help in the energy department or so we can start working out..
my Doc has only been doing this a short time..so the support is not very good..

I just don't want to make mistakes..i want this to work so bad and it is..
so i don't want to do it wrong..

Default Omega 3

Does anyone take Lovaza, a prescription fish oil? If so, has it affected IP in any way?

Hmm... now that you mention it. I was told NO root veggies, and think turnips would be a root veg. Don't like them, so really don't know for sure and never checked into it.

Mine never really said anything about it but after further research about ketogenic diets in general I discovered I can have it as long as it's no carb! Thanks for the advice!

Ive had twenty posts. Does it have to be twenty days too?? I was able to post it once. I don't know how to keep it?? Or how to make it again unless I go to the sig weight tracker in the quick links.

I was wondering if it makes a difference in weight loss if you eat your snacks at night instead of the day?
The first 2 days I had them in the day and lost 3lbs but was starving at night. So the next few days I ate them at night and my weight stayed the same. The last few days of the week I ate them in the day and I lost 2 more lbs. What is up with that? lol What can I have at night instead of the bars that I have for snacks. Can I eat more vegys?
Help! I am hungry at night and don't know what to eat seeing as I have eaten all my requirements for the day.

You can have another 1/2 packet or packet as an evening snack. You could have some veggies but, what you need to get through the night is protein. You could have a hard boiled egg or 2 scrambled egg whites or 3oz of lean protein like chicken breast or turkey.

Try using the packet or a protein drink it is more easily digested than the whole animal protein and will be lower calorie usually.
