Hi all...just checking in and hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

My numbers on the scale continue to go down...yay!! Loving IF  I agree with you kelleyb...I drink a ton of flavored (no sweeteners, no sodium) carbonated water.

On a good note, I got to eat yesterday's strawberries today :D Looking forward to some time with the weights and the treadmill tonight

Congratulations!

No gym today; seems I have a bit of allergy-induced cold. I should be fine tomorrow.

The only thing I drink that I have to sweeten is coffee, and even then I use sugar free syrup. It's probably not the best thing for me, but black coffee is not my thing. :P I figure a little something sweet to wake me up in the morning won't completely stall my weight loss, and if it does, coffee is something I can give up easily.

I haven't lost anymore weight since I weighed in last, but my clothes are fitting better and I just feel great in general.

Good Friday Morning!! :woohoo:

Had a great fast day yesterday. However I've decided my body hates me! :^: I gained weight this week so far even though I've been a good girl, but I am confident I will be in Onederland by Monday. I plan on working on our house a lot this weekend so that should really help.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend, if I don't get to check back in today!

Just a quick flyby. Thank all you for the good wishes while I've been sick. I'm almost back to normal except for lingering cough that I hope will be gone soon. This has been a busy week and will continue to be. I weigh daily and it appears that the BD pizza didn't hurt me as I had lost another lb. the next day and was still gone this morning. I'm still trying to get back to my 5 lb loss I originally had. Started back on eating lower carbs yesterday to get rid of this strong desire for sweets especially chocolate. I wanted a piece last night, but didn't eat it because I was afraid I would ruin the great OP day I had yesterday. So I'm back to my 5 to 8 hr window hoping to make most days a 5 hr.

I'm like some others. I may not post but I always read. Busy weekend so may not be back here till Sunday or Monday. So y'all have a great weekend.

Happy Friday!

They say it might stop raining for a few days this weekend and shoot up to almost 80. I hope so (although a little time between 50 and 80 to acclimate would be nice!)

wvu- here is pulling for a good scale for you on monday!

Did a gym self assessment today - pretty pleased. Need to work more on pulls.

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

I'm on my second fast this week.. feeling absolutely great! But I won't be breaking fast until about 9pm tonight so I still have quite a bit to go.

Prettylady - a desk treadmill is a desk that can go to standing height and has a treadmill underneath it! Amazing.. quite expensive, but to be able to walk and stand all afternoon instead of just sitting would be so amazing. They also have little cycles that you can put under your desk if you don't have the option of a standing desk.

WUV- go, girl, go!
Try not to eat too much salt over the weekend... if you make it- great. If not... there's always the week after.

Today was just an ok day with eating... planning on no dinner, but DH came home after 8 pm now and made popcorn. Oh well. I had that, a little leftover chicken and cauliflower. Ok, I guess, but not what I had planned on.

Hi everyone...hope all had a great Friday. I'm so glad for the weekend!

wvuchick...here's me cheering you on to Onederland. :cheer:

Trish - glad you're feeling better.

My day was a so-so eating day too. I've been really good keeping my window in check and not violating it. I usually try be really healthy when I do eat...well NOT today. I had a catered provider staff meeting and the hosting vendor brought Panera Bread lunch boxes (a big Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich, chips, and a big cookie). I ended up eating it all except maybe 1/4 of the cookie over the course of 4 hours and felt stuffed. I knew I had overdone it a bit, but wow, I was floored when I looked at the nutritional info on Panera Bread's website :yikes:...now I just feel "YUCK"!! :( Definitely back to my normal loaded salad & fruit tomorrow.

I continue to be inspired by everyone's posts and love checking in here each day. Keep up the good work...looking forward to hearing how everyone does over the weekend...may we all have a onederful weekend!

I lurk and read and IF, but don't usually post here :P.

Quick question - does anyone else feel gross when they eat outside their window?

It's my son's birthday today, so I took him out to lunch. I didn't eat much... but I feel like I need a nap now! Did I feel like this all the time before? Yuck!! I used to take an 'off' day on the weekend... but I can't even do that any more. It's like my body is angry at me for feeding it during the day now. Weird! Anyone else have this happen?

penguin41 04-20-2012 09:44 PM

I'm still sick, so I'm guessing this isn't an allergy flu..

My husband did the cooking today, so I did not eat healthy at all. I had one sloppy joe and three twice baked potatoes(so about a potato and a half). I'm probably still at a deficit, but not by much.

Here's hoping I feel well enough to go to the gym tomorrow... and that I haven't gained any weight! :P

I am interested in trying this but I HAVE to eat breakfast within a half hour of getting up or I feel nauseous. Any suggestions?

You could use an early eating window, instead of later, or eat an apple.

I also found that nausea ended for me several days in. I think my body was used to having food and once it adjusted, the nausea went away. Just my experience. Similar experience with headaches, and other things I always thought were signals that I needed to eat, but really weren't.

Valrock - If I feel yucky outside of my window, it's usually due to the quality of food I ate. Fasting during the day does help with the groggy mid afternoon thing, though - no doubt about it.

Have a great IF weekend, Everyone!

Unless you don't like to eat past 4:00 PM my suggestion would be don't do intermittent fasting. Seriously - it's not for everyone.

Instead of IF you might get some of the benefits just by going to a snack free day. I find much of the benefit just from getting away from grazing. Eat or dont eat.

But I also find that nausea and other stuff fades over time. It isnt for anyone but if you want to try it you could try starting with a long window (leangains has 10 hours for women) and incrementally ease in to it. Experiment with tea or something stomach soothing and just push the starting time by 15 minutes.

Or if there is any chance the nausea is blood sugar related start first by keeping your eating times the same as they are now and just do a lower carb plan for awhile and when you have adjusted to that you may find it easier to adjust your window.

Dont ever make yourself miserable to force a window.
